This is what made me so happy about the Cinderella's Castle kickstarter. The people rose up and put their money where their hearts are, and we raised over half a million dollars. Because we don't want to see some mass produced heartless drivel, we want to see what happens when you take Nick and Matt's writing and Jeff's music and put them in the hands of a group of wildly diverse talented people.
I gotta say this video made me feel happy - it’s been really disheartening hearing a lot of the corporate merging and consolidating of art that’s been going on, and getting that reassurance and encouragement to experiment and just keep being our imperfect messy selves is very much empowering. Thanks Curt :D
Y'all being super sensitive. As an artist, I cannot believe you're so butthurt about a beautiful, fun concept. Sure you can interpret it as a reflection of your own inevitable demise, or you can interpret it as probably the way it was intended (created by ... ARTISTS by the way) -- a slab of beautiful potential. Lighten up, enjoy your lives, and stop looking at this as a freakin' war. You don't have anything to STAND UP against (seriously? Settle down y'all). If change is coming, figure out how to embrace it. Otherwise y'all the dinosaurs.
This. 👆. Exactly this comment. Because Apple has never been innovative helping creative people. Christ iPad are the sound boards now. Musicians the world over swear by Apple products. Artists as well. Wanna go whine go after the AI folks like Elon and MS and ABC google and FB. Really this is where you put you stick in the sand?
I don't get it at all. I'm convinced people are mad now purely becuse someone else said something stupid about how they're mad, with some nonsense related to real art, and a bunch of people have got triggered in to jumping on the bandwaggon lest they be viewed as not real artists. I honestly don't understand how people are seeing meaning in this advert beyond "look at what we've squeezed in to our thinnest device." It's peak virtue signalling.
I really don't understand why people are screeching about this. You're imagining meaning and applying where it doesn't exist. Apple does loads of extremely shitty stuff, but this advert? It was very clearly a playful attempt to say "look at how all this stuff can be done on a tidy device."
So much butthurt. It's like mass hysteria, and people aren't even thinking about the actual clip, but getting mad because some celebrity said something stupid about it.

Optics matter. Eff this spot.
Gracious the butthurt. As artists push back against this? AI is killing art and you have an issue with the centuries new easel? Lol.
