      Milton Keynes stadium tour because you are from there
      AFC Wimbledon stadium tour because if you feel brave enough.
      Roffey fc this weekend who won the League near Brighton.. their stadium is called theatre of trees.
      You definitely should go there and show their new nature looking stadium.
      is this the most quirky stadium in non League in England?
      Hanwell town the non league Newcastle are home tomorrow in their League.
      Clapton CFC women’s team Last home match of the season is on 14th April
      They are a fan owned team who now own the oldest stadium in London Sam! You do love a bit of history.
      Last suggestion for now
      Crystal Palace of south east London stadium tour.
      A Premier League stadium tour.
      Thank you Sam for taking in my suggestions.
      i know Hanwell town the non league Newcastle is one you definitely will do this month.

    I’m a Maidenhead fan who often watches your videos; if I’d known you were there last night I would’ve volunteered for an interview! Glad you enjoyed your visit to York Road! According to other, big teams in the league, it may be a tinpot shithole; but it’s *our* tinpot shithole.
    The whole moving thing to Braywick Park has been a massive shame from start to finish. Initially I was saddened we’d be moving, but over time I came round to it as I had a chance to process the reasoning. York Road is incredibly constrained, the pitch is on a slope near a waterway, the ground needs a decent bit of TLC doing to it, we’re actually having to send some of our youth teams to other towns! Then, as I was finally happy with it, and knowing it was being done by people who care about the club, in consultation with people who care about the club, in order to secure the future of the club… the council changes and shoots it all down! Now I’m disappointed we’re not moving, all the while my heart is steadfastly ignoring my head and is overjoyed at the fact that I’ll get to stay on those terraces for potentially years to come… it’s an absolute emotional mess, really.
    Glad to see my flag made it (in the background, at kick-off) into the video. I’ve got a flag that reads “Somerset Magpie” and “100 miles from home”, because I used to live in Maidenhead but now live in the West Country. Didn’t get back last night much before midnight… but worth it! So worth it!

    Piazza Santa Croce in Florence has hosted Calcio games since at least 1530 and probably earlier. It's a rough sort of football - at one time bulls would be let loose among the players to liven up the proceedings. Boxing and wrestling are allowed, but nowadays only one on one, and sucker punches are banned. In earlier times deaths were not uncommon.
    It's still going on, with a knockout (more ways than one?) tournament between the four quarters of the city each year.

    The oldest football stadium in Hampden bowling club. The BBC and FIFA have confirmed that football was invented in Scotland going back to king James and the first football ball was found in Stirling. The passing game and how the game looks now was all Scottish.

    • @SheffieldTheHomeofFootball
      @SheffieldTheHomeofFootball 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The game we play today is called association football and has its roots very firmly in London, Cambridge and most of all Sheffield (all English). For the record, combination play or passing originate for Sheffield (1861). The rules your team plays by today (whoever they are) come from both Sheffield & London. You can have whisky and golf but unfortunately you are incorrect about modern association football.

    • @robbieh2458
      @robbieh2458 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@SheffieldTheHomeofFootballactually the way we play today is actually the Scottish game. There's a reason Scotland battered England all the time for the first 20 years... Scotland introduced dribbling, passing and formations... English equivalent that they started was essentially rugby with feet.

    • @robbieh2458
      @robbieh2458 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@SheffieldTheHomeofFootballPreston north end won the first league titles with a bunch of Scots for a reason. Same with Everton and Sunderland with basically a full Scottish 11. Even Villa the first dominant team had Scots and a Scottish manager. Scotland dominated football in the 19th century because it had been played in tbe country way before "association rules" were made. And the oldest football is in Scotland.

    • @robbieh2458

      @@SheffieldTheHomeofFootball from 1872 to 1892 Scotland won 11 and lost 3 against England. Winning 7-2, 6-1, 5-1 etc. It wasn't close 😂

    • @SheffieldTheHomeofFootball
      @SheffieldTheHomeofFootball 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@robbieh2458 Hi Rob, if you compare Scottish football from late 1872 onwards (more so early 1874) with the game played in London then you correct. If you compare Scottish football as it became a decent passing game towards to late 1870's & during the 1880's with Sheffield football then you will find that Sheffield game was already a decent passing game from at least 1861 onwards. The way Sheffield football evolved meant from 1865 onwards they regularly beat other towns (including Glasgow). Jack Hunter (England's first ever working class captain) took Sheffield football to Blackburn Olympic & coached them in the passing game to beat Old Etonians in the 1883 FA Cup final. There were no Scotts in this Blackburn Olympic team. Most historians take modern football to have started at this point. It was Sheffield's Jack Hunter and Sheffield football that did this, not Fergus Suter as a so called "Scottish Professor". There is a ton of evidence to support this as it is actually what happened. I am happy to share it with you.

    Football teams can be a different age to the place they play their football, also, the place they play their football may not have been built for football, that can be where the varying arguments as to who is the oldest team and which is the oldest ground is.
    It should start at who has the oldest 'purpose built' football only stadium.

    Just to clear Field Mill up. A local business used the space now occupied by Field Mill as a pitch for its employees to play 'unofficial kick-about' football matches. There was no organised club at Field Mill, no organised football (as there is with the other grounds this video), we do not know what kind of ball games were played there, what rules used, it wasn't association football or an organised club that became part of association football history. You might as well claim that any village green that had unofficial football played on it then becomes the oldest ground or stadium. Please do not give any credibility to this claim Sam. Your channel is better than this. If you want real association football history, the game we play today then look at Sheffield for the origins of most things. 58 football world firsts and counting.

    Hi, the oldest football stadium in the world hosting professional football is Bramall Lane. Sheffield FC played Hallam FC in 1862 and football has been played there continuously ever since (162 years). Bramall Lane was purpose built as a cricket ground in 1855. Unofficial football games were player there in 1855. The oldest ground in the world is Sandygate (1860). Field Mill lacks credible evidence for its claim I'm afraid (basic research will tell you this). Maidenhead has not been in. continues use as long as Bramall Lane and so is also incorrect. It has been used by the same club but this doesn't make it the oldest ground. Stadium is Bramall Lane, ground is Sandygate. Both Sheffield. If you come like I have invited you twice (3 times now) I can explain all this.
