I remember buying something like this years ago for my nephews, but they were really cheaply made compared to these. There were no more than 2.5" long, so comparable in size. You should ask for a review sample of the 1/35th scale Orlandoo mini crawler, those are awesome too.

About 20 years ago I got my first RC cars & they were this size. As you’d expect, no proportional steering & they ran for 3-4 minutes.

This is a really amazing little rc car, crazy features for such a small thing. I think I remember seeing a version of this modified for FPV on the TBS couch, it worked really well. That proper racetrack looks like it would be so much more fun than the slot car racetracks I grew up with. Great review, looks like fun and have a happy new year.
Maybe mod a toy mouse body onto one of the spare frames and cats will go insane!

You should definitely do some FPV. Maybe even wire in a battery connector and put some masking tape or the like on the rear wheels for some drifting.
I want one now. I can't get enough of these ultra micros, there's so much detail. It's like a more hobby-grade version of a hot wheels RC car. That micro track isn't that bad either, especially compared to some 1/18 scale tracks going for 3x the price.

So cool. As others have mentioned. Racing our hot wheels and matchbox cars was loads of fun. With the track and others racing what a blast that's gotta be. And to add fpv, sweet. I think behind the windshield looking over the hood would be awesome. Happy racing. 🏁🚙🤓

I actually looked at picking a couple of these up a couple weeks ago. A little pricey but several together on a track looks like a blast.
I remember thinking that it would be cool to have steerable slot cars when I was a kid. This is better than what I imagined.

Just amazing the technology that's involved. I have some small rc cars that are a little bigger, they come in like a pop can shaped container but not as fun as this one looks. They need to have some different body styles also I think would make these really sweet. I'd like to see the camera in the back like you mentioned in the 3rd person pov. Really cool but I think you need a couple friends before it would be really interesting.

Das87 makes 1:87 rc cars. They're insanely cool, especially those 4x4, but come as a kit - you have to build it and provide your own electronics.
I got more fun with this than any of my bigger scale RC cars. It is easy to make a race track too. I ordered a second one so I can race with my son. Will invite our neighbor who is a model car aficionado and hope he will buy one for himself so we can multiply.

I've been thinking about building an FPV car for a while now, this thing might fit the bill! I can't imagine range was much of a concern in the design process since it's meant to be driven line of sight, but I'm curious how it compares to a whoop.

The return of the bit charger where micro rc planes began. LOL! There were a lot of german custom HO scale 1:87 rc trucks in 2000's now economized. :) Perfect for lockdown scale indoor driving oh no! Perfect to hack micro balsa planes out of these.
This is going to go so well with full scale Mini owners.

Sweet. Check out the Carson 1\87 scale Unimog from Germany. I got it on eBay. Full digital control with lights and over one hour run time. It also has a hitch for trailers.

Don't know about the weight distribution on these. But putting the FPV cam on the back might be to much for this tiny thing. Front wheels might get to light and screw up your steering.
Any chance this rc car can be bound to a RadioMaster TX16S? Would be sweet to toss in my bag with my whoops for some to-go indoor fun. Actually, can any of the off the shelf rc cars be controlled by transmitters other than the included trigger style remotes? Thanks for the review Albert!
Not sure about this car and what protocol it uses. Same goes for other RC cars. They all use different protocols. AFAIK, the multi modules don't work for most RC car stuff because RC cars are still stuck in 1950.

That's the little car that Wayne and Trappy made a little FPV racer (cockroach cam) out of. TBS has the VTX/Camera and I think the upgraded battery it needs. The camera was mounted in the grill. Albert whenever you're ready to do a how to, we're waiting.
