Oh Jeffrey, what fun it would be to spend a day shopping and learning from you! I'm old enough to be your Grandma, but one is never too old to learn and to shop.
Jeffrey, I just got about 60 of the cigarette/cigar silk, flannel rugs at an auction. They were promotions in the packs back in the late 1800's, early 1900's. Google them, very interesting. I used to use them I my doll house as cold. Women used to make quilts with them also.😊
Thank you for the very informative lesson on the cigar silk as I always love to learn new things. I think it’s awesome they made quilts from them. Much love and many blessings
Thank you so much for visiting Traditions Antique Mall and Especially for Stopping in my Booth #24! Appreciate you! Great Video! I'm sure I will run into you one day!
those little rugs look like salesman samples to show door to door....there's a lot of things in this vid I've never seen before or knew existed....I'm learning a lot from you Jeffrey! ♥
2:40 I remember having a couple of those little rugs when I was a kid. I don't know where they came from but they were great for a doll house. I'm 63 now. Enjoying your Florida adventures.😁🇨🇦
I live 5 minutes from that antique mall! Be sure to visit Wildwood Antique Mall, too. It's right around d the corner and up a miles or so! You'll see my husband's artwork on their storefront windows.
@2:40, the tobacco “rugs.” It was a tobacco advertising gimmick geared towards women to buy cigarettes. They would collect them all and make things out of them. My grandmother (born in 1902)made pillows. They were beautiful and my favorite thing to touch. I haven’t seen anything like it since I was a kid, so it was a pleasant surprise to see them pop up in your video.
I just purchased a piece of Roseville and I love it. It’s the Moss pattern and in a pink fading to turquoise. The feel of the piece is so incredible. The government cracked down on the fakes and they no longer can mark the pieces with USA.
Hello Jeffrey, My nephew works at Gladding McBean in Lincoln, Ca where the Franciscan pottery was made! I see you talking about it and remember hearing that you collect the ivy pattern. I love watching your videos and enjoy both channels. I’m so glad that you are continuing to film and educate us in your new environment. Keep up the great work!
Little “tobacco flags” were recreated as coasters a few decades ago- They came in different sizes, shapes n colors, even round. I bought one to set my computer mouse on. Adorable!
Just discovered your channel. Your wry sense of humor and willingness to share knowledge is much appreciated. I live in Florida and have visited many of your most recent stops like Mt. Dora, Wildwood, and the Villages, etc. By now and over the years I have little room to spare for collectibles so it will be fun to watch you shop. There's Micanopy and another Antique Mall just north of you and further north a bunch of little shops in High Springs. Good Will stores in Gainesville have little to offer based upon what I have seen in cities like Tampa or Orlando. Welcome to Florida and happy hunting.
I watch Garden Answer from Oregon on TH-cam. Laura, Monica (her sister) and her mother, go antique shopping occasionally. The prices are at least half of the prices at this store and in North Carolina, too. (where I live) This is an expensive store. They usually go to Boise, Idaho antiquing which is not that far from her beautiful home and gardens in Western Oregon.
I have some Native American tiny rugs that I use as a bedside coaster! I love them! Also, let loose! Get a green flamingo! Great info on the faux Roseville, thanks!
Those mini rugs are so cool for dollhouses. That is an awesome price for them. Some go for over $12. You could also use them as mug rugs (coasters). I've made some mini quilt ones as mug rugs
I am really enjoying watching your Florida shopping videos because you're in my neck of the woods! I frequent all these places, and expect to run into you at an estate sale one of these days! Welcome to Florida!
This place looks so familiar. Maybe I’ve seen it on one of George’s videos before. It’s a beautiful place. Thank you Jeffrey. I learned more informative things from you today. You are always so helpful. 💕
I like the idea of using, what ,I think may be little carpet/rug swatches for putting little figurines. or even maybe little table serving decor if they are washable. These Florida estate,/ antique sales are great. The little carpets may have been used for home/ interior designers . Yes they would look nice in doll houses. What are you going to do with them I think.Arabian
Please go back there again maybe to a different part next time . Thank you. Loved that antique mall. I used to go all the time! My house is full.. I Must stay away or I would buy more; so you provide a great service with Your shopping ….it keeps me out! Lol

Traditions is hit or miss for us. Found some Dragonware, but the Craftsman China Black Beauty set continues to evade us. One day maybe we'll complete our set. The little rugs are cute!
I learned so much from your video! Thank you and hope you enjoy the S&P shakers. Since it says Florida on them and they have flamingos, I thought they were meant to be in your home. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Those flags remind me of old school coasters before companies started putting other materials on bottom to protect furniture. My parents had some from mexico. Very small like that and were in the bar area for coasters

Lol, you almost said Illinois. Illinois sure does miss you. 😢
Perfect timing, you were showing the fake Roseville base & it broke away to a commercial that said”where’s the poop?” So true of that vase.
Well, I did not get the “poop” commercial but Keanu Reeves. I must be living right!
@@dianewilliams9729 Lucky!!
