That trip from Man to Yamoussoukro (then to Bouake), I've done dozens of times. We always stopped at some cabins in Man when coming from N'Zerekore, Guinea. I recognize the bridge over the lake with all the dead trees sticking up out of the water. The Basilica in Yamo, and the ridiculously wide main streets. Your series of trips are awesome and take me back to my childhood.

I think we all should not be so hard on us with dropping motorcycles and falling - it really happens to the best, and some accidents are just not a motorcyclists fault if there are other people riding stupid in traffic involved. But you are right, that’s probably how the general perception would be if I dropped the bike all the time. But I am sure my travel partner would reply similar to my falls than I do to his. 😍
And: yes, the sheep skin makes a huge difference! I am the only one who has one because the Africa twin has a more wide and comfortable seat than the Ténéré. But for the more narrow seat I can highly recommend it! My ass is thanking me about the sheepskin each day! 😂
Got2Go Good morning Leah. I absolutely agree, it’s not easy keeping those big bikes up in the rough terrain especially when you throw some local crazy’s into the mix. My comment was made with tongue firmly in cheek and not meant to be derogatory towards you or your friends riding. Just having fun with the narrative I guess. I have enough trouble keeping mine upright in the garage! Only last month I let it fall against the wall, the mirror snapped and took out front brake mastery cylinder too. Two replacement double take folding mirrors this time and a used master cylinder from eBay £230 for my foolishness🙄. Pleased you found your drone in the Swedish forest and a nice picture of you too. Some say if you never dropped a bike you are not really trying! An old friend from way back has a Harley which he never dropped, and is scared stiff if he does, better to drop it then you are not scared anymore , and more importantly know how to pick it up!
I see Noraly has changed down to a CRF250 on her return to SA, how she copes with the the thin hard seat I don’t t know, some fiends here in Thailand with their CRF’s use some kind of cushion, even my Versys 300X with its notorious hard sharp edged seat I had rebuilt. Money well spent, can use all day or as long as I want to.
The Prime Minister that build the church was from Yamoussoukro and he also build a big new parliament in Yamoussoukro and made the city the capital of Ivory Coast which is now the Judicial Capital of Ivory Coast and Abidjan is the financial capital of Ivory Coast.
Great video, but.....I am not a fan of the split screens. My brain gets confused trying to decide, should I look at Lea’s pretty face or the pretty picture beside her. It’s a tough choice :)
Luckily there will be only a few more episodes (I think 4...) with split screens - on the new journey there will be my “beautiful” face full screen to admire because I filmed in the right angle then 😂

It looks like your travel partner rides with soft Enduristan panniers, is that correct? And still had his leg pinned below it? I ask because I ride with soft bags too, hoping to reduce the chances of that happening...
No he is riding with Alu panniers of Touratech too (he only has an Enduristan top bag on one of the boxes). Soft bags would have been much better in that crash!
You probably find me critichal, but I would love to see more about the people you meet. Beaches look the same always, especially photographed with a drone, but people change and normally should provide much material. I realise this your first try at this and there is very much positive, but I would recommend that you take a look at "itchyboots" channel, who has several hundred thousand followers. She is doing a lot of fundamentals right.
Interesting episode. However, I wonder what the reaction in Germany would be if African tourists on motorcycles travelled on sidewalks or against the traffic to get around traffic jams. 🤔🤔
No offence to your ride companion, but why is he meeting up with incidents so frequently ! The Church and Cathedral were something else. Good thing that your bikes were able to get proper servicing at long last, Lea. The dust and heat ... something riders are conversant with; at least better than slimy, chocolaty tracks ... ha ha ha ha.
He is really just unlucky. He is a much better rider than I am - I think I would have crashed with the other motorcyclist - he only dropped his bike when breaking. And the journey would be as well boring if he would not be there for all the falling action 😂
In the end it isn't how skilled your are of handling the bike that matters. What matters is how to know the limit of your own driving capacity that make you an good driver. One American biker i met i norway told me....there is two types of bikers, the once that has fallen and the once that will.

Of course, if you watch all the previous videos of the series you can see that it was pretty difficult to get some of the visas on the road.
