People often forget just how good other forwards in the messi-ronaldo era were also. Suarez, Neymar, Benzema, Aguero, Hazard, Lewa, etc. They were all legends of the sport in their own right. The current generation of forwards just doesn't have the ability to score as many goals as the forwards of the past generation did. Used to be a time where a 20 goal season was considered mid for most forwards, now it's considered amazing. Lewa at 36 is putting up more goal contributions than strikers 10 years younger than him. That whole generation was just built different man. It's not just the forwards, it's literally everyone. That era was Peak Football.

You know, what's different with Yamal is how genuinely concerned his peers and coaches, both in the national and Barca team, are in protecting him so that he isn't derailed from the path of success. And i think this is so important for Lamine Yamal to remain grounded and fulfilling his potential. His age is touted a lot, but really i think many do not fully grasp how young he is in his career as a footballer. There is a long career ahead of him so to speak. Players usually only start to break between 19 - 21 and reach their prime at 23, but he's way younger than that by at least 7 years. There are thousands of known wonderkids who have fallen off the cliff, now plying their trade in the third division of some unknown league at the age of 23. If nobody protects him, his career will degrade perhaps at an age even younger than those wonderkids. Ansu Fati, whose career trajectory is almost like Lamine Yamal, is pretty much on his way there already. It is so important to help these players develop physically and mentally.
All I'm hoping for is that he stays fit and healthy... It would be such a shame to lose him... The kid's special. a very fair and objective video. At 80 I have seen quite a lot of players though I have been very disenchanted with football for many years. Lamine's magic has worked it's spell on me and got me interested in football again. He is a most remarkable player - and seems to be a very nice guy as well.
last time i saw something like this was when messi scored his first hat-trick against madrid. and i said the same thing i said back then. that kid is something else
True what Rodri said. His ability is phenomenal but it's his game maturity and his work rate that's impressive for me. Covers his defenders without the ball.
i may be saying this early but i see messi / kdb in lamine , he's gonna be the next messi , also for me a true player isn't someone who just score goals and rely on his teammates , but also a playmaker , chance creator , assists provider , who controls the game is the real goat , and i see that quality in lamine , he does things like he's playing with kids it's that easy for him . Edit: 10:20 messi surely blessed lamine , it's no coincidence that out of all other children , lamine got a chance to meet messi
I'm giving you that follow because of that he passes his exams becomocin the 1et young 😂😂😂😂😂😂 thank you for putting so much joy in me with just one video. You made my day man i swear.
Yamal is great, but he is not giving me the same magical vibe Messi did when I watched him for the first time almost 20 years ago. For me Leo is not replacable.
I think in general Messi is irreplaceable! We'll see how Yamal develops, as he's not yet 18 but it's looking very promising. I think people forget about that because of everything he has accomplished at just 17 years old.
Maybe thats just because Messi was first… since you had Never seen anything like that, it was much more surprising… now that youve seen Messi, seeing someone re-do it does not impress as much
@@alessandrocejwokkkk I get your point, but their styles are different. Messi and Maradona's dribbling and feeling of the game are something unique. Even if I had not watched them, I would still compare Yamal to players like Neymar or young Cristiano.
The boy that was bathed by messi, and the boy who admires the prime neymar in Barcelona, i hope he always brings that joy with musics before every champions league, and in the fields.
I think the best way to describe it is that Lamine is building a head start. Because once the counting stats start for Messi they come quick. Then we’ll see if lamine can keep up. Amazing to watch both at Barca man lol
It’s seriously light work for him. He is also very unselfish. I swear he is key to at least 80% of Barca’s goals. Yamal + Lebanowski’s efficient finishing is simply unstoppable.
I hope they get success at barca, considering every player they produce is kind of a Mezzala, inverted wing or inwerted wing back. I hope they keep it up and work defensively as well. They deserve some trophies. - From an arsenal fan that loved tiki taka but realise structure gets results. beautiful football is not always rewarded, but maybe this side can bring it back.
The thing with this kid is that he's not a Messi, Ronaldo, Robben type winger. He's a more of a Mesut Özil type player who happens to be a winger. Those who have watched Mesut Özil play will know exactly what I mean. I can see this kid getting 20+ assists per season.
Lamine really listened to what Cruyff said about Messi:”This kid has a long way to go, yes he is talentaed but he has much to learn and when he will learn when to pass and when to dribble he will not have only one ballon d’oro”
Something seriously of note is that while Rijkaard brought in Messi, he was ultimately not really that great a Barca coach from what I recall. Whereas Yamine does have alot more experience then Messi did at that age, and is now under a very solid coach that knows how to utilize him to his best.
Closets thing to seeing teenage messi. The only thing that can slow him down is an injury. He is a mix of Messi & neymar. Even when he’s not scoring, he’s making out of this world passes and assists. This is a player every club would want.

Think it will end up like this Messi > Yamal > Neymar. He will do what people thought Neymar would do.
He is nothing like Neymar. He isn’t just doing tricks. He plays for the team. He isn’t painfully lazy to watch in person
@ didn’t say he was like neymar, said he will achieve the things we thought neymar was going to. Ballon dors, maybe World Cup, champions league, etc. I do agree though, he is a team player, one of the only superstar attackers who tracks back. You never see that from vini and Mbappe.
He might be not the best for goal scoring like Ronaldo or Technical Gifted like Messi but he sure is one of future legend
God bless him with a beautiful career and one that he stays away from injuries.
Yoo Adrian thumbnail looks great 🔥🔥🔥
a very fair and objective video. At 80 I have seen quite a lot of players though I have been very disenchanted with football for many years. Lamine's magic has worked it's spell on me and got me interested in football again. He is a most remarkable player - and seems to be a very nice guy as well.
last time i saw something like this was when messi scored his first hat-trick against madrid. and i said the same thing i said back then. that kid is something else
give him the Kopa again next year
Not possible
1:46 bro was baptized by the Messi-ah himself 🙏
True what Rodri said. His ability is phenomenal but it's his game maturity and his work rate that's impressive for me. Covers his defenders without the ball.
I still remember watching his debut, after a few minutes of his play, you know he just has it
Players like that were always my dream in Football Manager.
What a talent ,Lapine Yamal the wonder kid,I love him, very interesting to watch❤❤❤
Football is so back baby!
i may be saying this early but i see messi / kdb in lamine , he's gonna be the next messi , also for me a true player isn't someone who just score goals and rely on his teammates , but also a playmaker , chance creator , assists provider , who controls the game is the real goat , and i see that quality in lamine , he does things like he's playing with kids it's that easy for him .
Edit: 10:20 messi surely blessed lamine , it's no coincidence that out of all other children , lamine got a chance to meet messi
One of those rare talents that I’m super excited to see how his career progresses over time!
I'm giving you that follow because of that he passes his exams becomocin the 1et young 😂😂😂😂😂😂 thank you for putting so much joy in me with just one video. You made my day man i swear.
insane player
Oh
It’s gonna get hell lot more scarier
Yamal is great, but he is not giving me the same magical vibe Messi did when I watched him for the first time almost 20 years ago. For me Leo is not replacable.
I think in general Messi is irreplaceable! We'll see how Yamal develops, as he's not yet 18 but it's looking very promising. I think people forget about that because of everything he has accomplished at just 17 years old.
@RabonaTV Indeed, Yamal is special talent and has the potential to be one of the greats.
@@LNLBD Cristiano was always a selfish player, no way you can compare Yamal to this guy.
We love ❤️ you Lamine. Continue be humble
Can't wait to see more!!
The boy that was bathed by messi, and the boy who admires the prime neymar in Barcelona, i hope he always brings that joy with musics before every champions league, and in the fields.
FCB should pull another financial lever and start charging you money for using that Hansi Flick video 😂
I think the best way to describe it is that Lamine is building a head start. Because once the counting stats start for Messi they come quick. Then we’ll see if lamine can keep up. Amazing to watch both at Barca man lol
And he hasn't stopped growing yet.
He will get taller, and stronger. And presumably will have more skills.
It’s seriously light work for him. He is also very unselfish. I swear he is key to at least 80% of Barca’s goals. Yamal + Lebanowski’s efficient finishing is simply unstoppable.
NOOO not the dreaded Flick clip again!!!!
I hope the schedule doesnt wreck this kid
even as someone who likes real madrid, this kid is special
Even his words are much wiser than most people I'd argue..
Like he's fully aware that he likely won't be the next Messi but rather a new Yamal
Adrian, where is the monthly recap, I NEED IT!!!!
Really like this thumbnail ❤️ 👍
Stay healthy and blessed Yamal🔵🔴
You've said it all man and I love your take. A barca fan from Nigeria ❤🇳🇬💚
Now imagine if Ansu Fati never fumbled, Barcelona would have two prodigies one on the left and another on the right.
Solid video bro.
Im a barca fan, but that Flick tiktok will never not be funny 😂
I hope they get success at barca, considering every player they produce is kind of a Mezzala, inverted wing or inwerted wing back. I hope they keep it up and work defensively as well. They deserve some trophies. - From an arsenal fan that loved tiki taka but realise structure gets results. beautiful football is not always rewarded, but maybe this side can bring it back.
There were too many good players around Messi than there are around Yamal. Barça's recent challenges were however a blessing in disguise.
he is insane! true neymar fan
i wish him the best, i trully do
The thing with this kid is that he's not a Messi, Ronaldo, Robben type winger. He's a more of a Mesut Özil type player who happens to be a winger. Those who have watched Mesut Özil play will know exactly what I mean. I can see this kid getting 20+ assists per season.
manifesting the best for him
Imagine been a Real supporter and having to put up with Messi for almost 20 years and when he finally leaves them alone this kid shows up 😫
Lamine really listened to what Cruyff said about Messi:”This kid has a long way to go, yes he is talentaed but he has much to learn and when he will learn when to pass and when to dribble he will not have only one ballon d’oro”
Something seriously of note is that while Rijkaard brought in Messi, he was ultimately not really that great a Barca coach from what I recall. Whereas Yamine does have alot more experience then Messi did at that age, and is now under a very solid coach that knows how to utilize him to his best.
You don't recall Barcelona winning la liga for the first time in 6 years and the Champions League for only a second time under Rijkaard?
@@maxmarks3503 I mostly recall him dwindling down tbh, so no.
Insane to see somebody literally the same age as me playing futbol is literally in professional leagues already
Closets thing to seeing teenage messi.
The only thing that can slow him down is an injury.
He is a mix of Messi & neymar.
Even when he’s not scoring, he’s making out of this world passes and assists.
This is a player every club would want.
Bro looking from the numbers Yamal is projected to be better than Messi 👀
LMAOO i was like wtf when you was abt to say he broke a academic record😂😂
GREAT VIDEO TBH
HAD TO LIKE, COMMENT AND SUBB
He got baptised by the 🐐
I’m a Madrid fan and I gotta say the boy is talented. I was hurt when some of our Bernabeu fans started throwing racist comments at him (17 y/o) during the last el clasico. I hope this won’t get in the way of his development in the future because it might get to him as he’s human too
If the form continues, raphinha and lamine are most likely to end up in top 5 of Ballon D'or 2025. And not to forget lewa too
He is HIM
HE IS THE
HEIR TO MESSI IN BARÇALONA
CATALANS at his peak.❤️💙
