Yao had a grrrrrreat career. He played 9 years in the NBA. He was an 8 time NBA All-Star. And he's in the NBA HoF‼️ He retired at 31 yrs. old. But, the avg. NBA career is just shy of 5 years. While those are impressive numbers of Yao, losing, especially losing by a good margin like that, greatly diminishes the performance in my mind. While I like Yao very much, schooling Shawn Bradley is not a great accomplishment. I will say that I was skeptical when Yao was first drafted since his most challenging experience was the CBA. I expected he would be another Shawn Bradley. I was pleasantly surprised that he turned out to be pretty good. It is too bad that he didn't stay healthy.
