it depend on how much you like to bring on trips but personally this type of bags / carry on is more than enough to bring everything i need to my trip 😊
I used my baboon to the moon bag for my month long east Asia trip. It’s all I took with me, and it was a life saver. I’m sure people like all the pockets on the other bag, but the waterproof shell aspect of the b2tm bag is a game changer if you have to worry about theft and more extreme weather. Haven’t tried the calpak myself, but I loved my go bag while I was traveling.
I have the Calpak backpack and the tiny hole of the luggage sleeve is actually a pain point. I discovered on a recent trip it doesn’t fit across all luggage handles, only the narrow ones. Very annoying
For the Calpak backpack I used the duffle strap wrapped through the existing luggage sleeve a couple times as a way to attach it to my carry on vertically.
yes, i think the problem is the width of the sleeve and the width of the handle are too close in size, so its not as easy to get over the handle itself. :)

yes! i always use it as my personal item, and pack my fanny or purse into it so i only have "2 items". :)
Calpak actually came out with a bigger (and smaller!) size of the Terra backpack! The bigger one is huge at 50L!
