I'm sure most people are good and the country side is beutiful, but south and central America is a crime ridden corrupt continent that is not safe for tourists and especially foreigners who go there to live, just keeping it real
+viking by nature, an you call yourself "viking "? you know there's nothing more corrupt than Donald, and you could be easily killed in Manhattan at noon too, so no perfectly safe place around, Sir. Be more adventurous, live is too short.
This is my beautiful country Ecudor. Cuenca is one of the many wonderful cities that Ecuador has. congratulations to you, Sr. and welcome to my coutry. nice video👍
lol There's robbery, crime and murder in the U.S.A. Plus the mental health in the U.S.A is staggering. Nobody in Ecuador is going to shoot up a school or shoot up a movie theater or a mall. You're more likely to get murdered in Houston, Detroit, Chicago, Los Angeles, The Bronx, NOLA and many other parts of the United States than you are to get murdered in this country. Relax.
A blessed good day sir Gabriel Nice another spectacular beautiful city of Cuenca Ecuador lots of beautiful people Churches parks and streets thank u keep safe sir Gabe Godbless u from your solid viewer from the philippines sir vhin 🇵🇭🇵🇭👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂👍👍🙏🙏🙏🇵🇭
i enjoy the everyday infrastructure more then the super touristy sites. i want to see and experience what the locals are doing. Great Walk through / Thanks!
Cuenca es una ciudad que tiene estilo Europeo... cuando fui por primera vez sentía que estaba en Inglaterra, ese país tiene un lugar así, con esa arquitectura, Cuenca es hermosa lo malo es que todo es muy caro.
We’ve been here a year without a car. It’s very walkable and the buses and taxis are very affordable. It’s about $3 to $4 to take a taxi from one side of town to the other. Most of our cab rides are under $2. 👍
Would have liked to hover a bit, to hear the actual street sounds and get a sense of the pace. The speedo/slo-mo seems unrelated to the city -- wonder what a good walking pace would be...

I'm not sure about that actually. I turned my phone service off during that trip to save some money. I didn't have a smartphone at the time anyway, just an old cell phone. But the service is probably pretty good there.
I was looking into that camera recently. Looks like a cool concept, but I read a lot of negative reviews about it, that it overheats, the software didn't work properly, etc. Sounds like a cool idea that maybe still needs to be perfected? Have you had any issues with yours?
About the only issue is the audio. An external microphone is a must. And, it can't get wet like a GoPro can with a case. I've had mine get too hot when recording in 4K in the hot sun. But a GoPro does the same thing. I don't get a big shake video anymore though, and I don't have to go edit out all the shaky parts of the video also. But I still get audio issues sometimes. Maybe I am not always plugging in the mic all the way.
Girls from Cuenca are a little reserved in the beginning. It's the culture of the place. After we know that a foreigner guy has not serious bad intentions.... you're on, babe. I'm from Cuenca, naturalized in the States tho.
There's a lot of adventurous exploring to do outside the city. Other than that there are great restaurants and good shopping. Not sure what else there is to do in Cuenca but I'm sure there's more going on.
+DeTaquitoNomas Cuenca is a religious city by default, as you noticed. Of course there are other activities, but you will find religious motives and celebrations around every corner and throughout the year.
There are lots of non-religious things to do. Cuenca has a great music scene with some awesome musicians. There are a lot of museums too and most are free. Cajas National Park is a short distance west of here and there are lots of other sights to see in every direction. Shopping and food are good too. A lot of the restaurants would do well in NYC or LA. They’re that good. 👍
No, I found Ecuador to feel quite safe, but of course there are risks everywhere so always good to keep that in mind especially when traveling in foreign countries.
lastima esas bellas construcciones esten manchadas por el supuesto arte del garffiti que daña el bien publico!!........ y digo supuesto porque ni siquiera estan elaborados solo son puros bandalos que buscan llamar la atencion de manera mediocre!!!
Mathieu Tallard HAHA, yeah, right. It s just one of the most important colonial town of all south america. Dont talk about something you don t know. I just got back from cuenca, and it s, in my opinion, the best city of Ecuador by far. Especially at the time of Las Fiestas De Cuenca
Different people, different taste. I see myself there waking up in the morning , wanting to go for a swim and no, nothing, just looking to get out of it. Colonial shit in mountains don' t give me any fun......
Do you actually watch your videos? They look like a five year old recorded them. Would suggest too first, find an educational facility that offers classes in cinematography. And take a course in basic cinematography. Then save up and buy a decent video camera that has a stabilization feature. And for christ sake "do not" speed up the recording!
@@GabrielTravelerVideos Much improvement. Sorry for being such an asshole. Not to make excuses but do to health problems and advancing age I am no longer able to undertake adventures. Perhaps a bit envious on my part? Had been an adventurer all my life. Starting from my combat experience in the Vietnam war to traveling and experiencing more than 45 nations over the last 40 years. I have been in love with Ecuador since first traveling there in 1981. Lived in Caleta Cruz on the coast from 2008 to 2011. Then in (In search of a cooler climate) Cuenca 2011 to 2013. Until all the gringos started moving in. Heartbreaking to think it will, in all likelihood, end up being yet another paradise lost to the unrelenting trampling feet of the Caucasian's greed and selfishness. Take care and safe travels.

^^ Agreed. Many americans have anger issues.
Thank you for showing the city instead of just your talking head, as so many TH-cam travelers and expats seem to love to do.
TOTALLY agree with this!
Also agree. So tired of talking head vloggers. Gabriel's great.

Thanks for sharing, I visited Cuenca and I liked it, was nice to see the same places I walked by too :)
Hi, I will be visiting ecuador this January how did go about protecting your valuables like cash and passport?
I was there last week and saw the busker at 5:40. Lovely colonial city, like a more relaxed Quito.
Really? Wow, that's amazing, because this video is from 3 1/2 years ago.

Cuenca is one of the best places in the world... right up there with Rome, Barcelona, NYC, Sydney and York, UK.
Yeah great city. And a lot mellower than the major cities.
Totally agree! We love it here! 💚
Ecuador looks tight bruh
Thanks for that.
thank you gabriel, i watched your channel everyday... keep posting..
btw, may i know what model of your digital and action cam?
