Lesotho Highlands Water Tunnel closure

The Department of Water and Sanitation Director-General Doctor Sean Phillips is briefing the media on plans for sustainable water provision during six months of Lesotho Highlands Water Tunnel closure. From October to March 2025, the tunnel will undergo periodic inspection and maintenance jointly by the Lesotho Highlands Development Agency and the Trans-Caledon Tunnel Authority to ensure water supply for Gauteng and surrounding areas.
