    I like this video. Explaining soembody who didn't service a fork before is a pretty good idea. Thank you from South Germany.

    Looking through I didn't see you use any Float Fluid in the air chamber, is that not really necessary during this kind of service?

    What is up teach!? I appreciate your video. I am wondering if you guys happened to have also serviced the air spring and or damper for this fork? I have a 2012 Fox Float 29 RL100mm which I was able to drop the lowers out of and do a good service. i struggled getting the fresh wipers in without the punch tool, I actually warped one which I was able to true and it is working well otherwise the lower leg service went well. Unfortunately I am still experiencing the stiction that led me down this road and time without bike/budget also have me wanting to self perform. I am wondering which seals i could use to service the air spring, I called fox and they don't make or sell them and I cannot find the repair/rebuild kit for the air spring. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    What are your thoughts on using a different brand oil but still 20 wt fork oil? Like Lucas oil or MAxima, or PJ1?

      Hi. It should be for the most part. The process does not change much. Double check oil volumes and oil wt.

    Hi. Which seal kit are you using? The old kit you removed is different from the new one, isn't it? Thanks!

      Hi, FX-944 or 843-00 Kit dust wiper for 32 low friction no flange. It is slightly different but it works. Fox often makes changes and makes it very confusing. The seals have been working great.

      Fox said the only wipers for *32mm* that works along with the 20w gold oil, is the 803-00-878. (As mentioned, they update... Now they have a 803-00-142 that's compatible too)
      You should never use older model wipers (803-00-613 or 803-00-079) when using 20w gold oil
      Hope this helps :)

    I reall don't know which oil to use. I have a FOX 32 Float Evolution CTD Air from 2014. On the fox website they say that wt20 is needed. But on other sites they say that wt10green is better. Do you know which oil I should use, or do you know where I can find that?

    • @BikeTeacher
      @BikeTeacher  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Try key words Fox fork oil volume chart. Either oil will work. Most of us won’t feel the difference in performance.

      @@BikeTeacher but I don't know if I have a open bath. Because then you might not use wt20. Is wt10 an option?

    What did you use to make the seal driver for the 34? Not trying to spend $40 on a tool ill use once.

      I used a Rock Shox seal installation tool. You should be able to use this for other 32's. Here is a link, selling for $20 www.jensonusa.com/Rockshox-Seal-Installation-Tool-35mm?pt_source=googleads&pt_medium=cpc&pt_campaign=shopping_us&pt_keyword=&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIzbSqheWQ5wIVS73ACh3KggbnEAQYAiABEgJzz_D_BwE

    Is it ok if I use the same steps on my 2012 Fox Float 32 RL FIT 150mm?

    • @BikeTeacher
      @BikeTeacher  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it should stay relatively the same. Just double check the oil volumes.

    Is the fork adjustable?

    • @BikeTeacher
      @BikeTeacher  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not easily, I found this: 2016 32mm FLOAT forks can be travel adjusted by replacing the air shaft assembly. ... Please contact FOX directly before extending travel on any fork to verify that the stock components of the fork can handle the new longer travel. 32mm forks may be built with two different upper tube bore diameters, 1.110" and 1.117".

      Nothings wrong with re-using the bolt as long as you put in a new seal oring and a new crush washer.
