I always love to see these kind on rebuilds, but I think it would be nice to include the final cost of such a bike. Even if you probably get a lot of parts for free, I think it could still be helpul for people the watching.
A large issue I have with these builds is they always do trick stuff like have someone build the triple clamps around the 2011 450 forks. Most dudes don't have the resources to do so.
For the triple clamps all you have to do is call applied and they will make you whatever you need made it costs around $600 for the top and bottom clamps
oh my god I'm very impressed with the toughness of this two stroke Yamaha YZ 250 motorbike, but unfortunately I can only watch your explanation because for me it's impossible to have it if there is good luck from a loving servant of God please give me a YZ 250 motorbike I'm from Lombok Indonesia your fans bro
I have an 05 yz 250 and I need some advice. The suspension sucks, I notice that the stock suspension sags before I sit on it. Should I spend the money on revalving or buy sss suspension?
I'm rebuilding an 05 and i'm searching for new plastics too. If you buy the polisport kit you don't have to change anything, but I don't find the blue polisport kit. I don't know if you can adapt 2019/2020/2021 original blue plastics to your 05, i'm trying to understand it...
Everything from the Polisport kit worked great except the fork covers and number plate. I used the 05 restyle kit. For the fork covers I ended up with Circa. I tried 2 different polisports and neither of them mounted correctly. And at the moment i do not have a front number plate. I’m unsure if the modern kit will fit.
@@RelentlessCo what country are you in? Keep in mind that it would take a hell of a lot of work to get an old bike into his condition again. It's still a great idea to get a new one and you know linkages, bearings, engine, cases, gears, piston, carburetor is all brand new and un touched so still worth it!
RipJaws I’m on the US , you can get new 2020s for about 8k out the door after fees and taxes etc , seriously considering it . I understand much hasn’t changed since 06 but I like the piece of mind knowing I have a brand new bike
Ain’t hot rod cranks shite. I bought one for a cr250 gave it to shop to fit and they told me they wouldn’t fit cos there shit and got me a wossner crank instead
Why use all of that aftermarket junk for the brakes and bearings when the oem Yamaha parts are still available costs a little more but lasts much longer
Very well done except for using a Cast piston. I will never run a cast piston ever again in any bike. Ever! No benefit to it now that the alloys used in forging have such low thermal epansion rates. Especially in a aluminum nikasil bore, which expands a fuck ton more than any piston does anyway. Forged pistons last several times longer than cast pistons.
So this was one big advertisement for every brand of bolt on part you could stick somewhere! Very disappointing. In the future, at least do some before and after pics and a price list. There's really no sense doing a 2005 rebuild when you can just go out and buy a new one for a bunch less.
We took a 2019 YZ 250 put new graphics on it and made the whole story up about it being a 2005 👍🏼
One of the greatest sounds ever. I miss 2 strokes. Don’t get me wrong, I love 4 Strokes but wish the 2 strokes were still around like they used to be.

Well done fellas. Motivated me to get the 'ol 2003 YZ 250 runnin' again.
Take 'before shots' of the bikes guys!... pretty please :-)
lol
Seriously... Because I'm kinda thinking it might be my old bike lol
Decisions, decisions... A brand new yz250 or an old new one for the same price? ;)
Wide000 how the same price ?
If it’s restyled and it has the aluminum frame it basically is new
Yamaha 💎

This motivates me to get my 13 fixed. Blew up 3rd gear which chewed up most of the other gears. It’s like $1k just in transmission parts alone :’(
lots of woods/desert guys swap the WR gears into their yz's. there should be some stock yz gears available on ebay for relatively inexpensive.
Gorgeous bike ❤
Dang, Dennis is a big dude
Beautiful 😍. Love the sound of that fmf exaust!
Why not include some before and during rebuild photos?

Where the triple clamps completely custom? Or how can I get my hands on some from Applied for my yz250 2005
I want one again !
Cool!
Very very beautifullllllll....i hope i have this motor...
Its pretty beautifull
My birthday just past in 5 days ago
Can i have i can repair it
Nice
What was the handle bar bend ?
If I were going to do this peoject I woulda started with an 06 because of the better suspension. I bet this thing rides awesome though
I’m rebuilding an 05 at the moment. I was literally just looking at the same plastics kit. Do you have to change the seat for everything to fit right?

Where can find a sticker kit like that?
Will the rear shock off the same said 450f work on the 250? Or forks only?
So this is the bike on Craigslist?
Be exactly the same as a 2020 yz250 dunno why you would think this would be any less of a bike
RipJaws lol I’m contemplating getting a brand new 2020 yz250x

where all these exact same parts available in 2005? 2019 YZ250
Dean Wilson #15, gonna release a new video? I know you're going to check this video out...
#VlogMuch 🤔
Is it good deal for 2500 on offerup I saw today looking at reviews
She’s lovely 💙
So after all that you could have just bought a newer YZ or just bought a brand new one.

What people don't know all that aftermarket junk is made in China. Nothing even comes close to OEM YAMAHA! Go blu cru
Most of the Yamaha OEM parts are cheaper than aftermarket people don't look at cost first whenever they do a bike build
Ribble dean you don't know what the fuck your talking about. Yamaha parts are Japanese not junk Chinese. You are a fucking idiot
Moto X haha sorry mr nine year old, get back on your yz65
Because those are the sponsors " aka advertising . We just watched a dirt bike commercial .
Beautigully
So paid around 2k then put $2-5k into it?
Spudly1234567 and still cheaper than new hahaha
Spudly1234567 same. Especially with the work they did and the 450 forks.
I'd say 5k into it at minimum. not including bike cost
Easy 5k in parts
I’m 6’1 220lbs. Am I too heavy for a 250 2 stroke? Or should I get a 450?
Chandler Chambers I’m 6’3” 200 and I smoke 450s on a 125... your fine

😀😀💪💪
Another yz build....shocking
Everyone knows yz front brake is shite, gen honda cr/crf master cylinder will sort that problem

Shut it
Using Pro Circut specs on FMF is blasphemous... smh just buy the better product
