Not going to lie. His acting is over the top but it works for what this movie is. Though, some of his less over the top scenes and lines still have fine delivery. It is very cheesy but I still love it. I definitely love even more that they evolved this character into something even more terrifying. It really is a blessing that Cobra Kai was able to bring back basically every actor aside from Dutch’s actor and Patt Morrita.

I love that we saw more of Terry’s and John’s backstory in Cobra Kai we saw how Terry obviously feels guilty cuz his radio went off giving away their position resulting in Ponytail’s death then being a POW and watching his squad being forced to fight to the death for the amusement of the Viet Cong after that whole ordeal it made perfect sense why Terry developed a cocaine addiction to cover up for his severe PTSD it’s like Terry said “My father wants me to put Karate and Vietnam behind me but idk if I could ever go back to a normal life”
To be honest when I heard cobra Kai season was going on I thought it was too old to bring it back but when I heard Terry Silver was coming back I became interested too watch because his character in karate kid 3 was so powerful one of the best villain role I'd ever seen the man knows how too steal the show every time as he still had that old Quick Silver type of attitude I thought he was the best actor out of all no doubt he rocks.

Man, did Cobra Kai ever do Silver the justice he was so desperately needing. Turning what was a very cliche yuppie douchebag villain (who in all fairness did make Karate Kid III at least semi-entertaining with his schtick) into a fully formed, well rounded antagonist. As great as everyone else was, Silver (and to a great extent Chozen as well ) MADE Season 5 as great as it was. I think without those two guys, the season may have actually notched a fair bit below the par established by the previous seasons. As it is, it stands out among one of the best seasons of the show.
On the contrary, if you view from a different vantage point - Terry was a good guy and the others were the antagonists. all Terry wanted to do was start a global karate franchise like Tiger Schulmanns but greedy and arrogant Daniel LaRusso kept attacking him and his business. What is wrong with introducing good karate to the world, with form, discipline, elegance, and technique from the best instructors all over the world - Tyron woodley, Stephen Thompson, the Korean champions. Sign me up! What is not to like lol
Looking back now as an adult who live thrillers and suspense. I think it would have been badass if they just had the introduction of silver without you ever knowing that he was part of Cobra Kai. And then after the reveal at the car dojo that kreese isn't dead you see all scenes seeing it into motion

Out of everyone's return to cobra kai Terry Silver was the one that got me the most excited/hyped he was easily my favourite villain and bloody hell did they deliver on his return. He's even more menacing than ever the only thing that was dissapointing and a let down was that we never got to hear his classic laugh that's the only thing that was missing. But other than that it was so good seeing him back again I just remember getting crazy excited when they teased him at the end of season 3.
It's like Thomas Ian Griffin went from being Jim Carrey in KK3 to Master Thespian in Cobra Kai...every time I see Griffin (in interviews, etc.) he scares the hell out of me now...I can't separate him and the character he played in Cobra Kai...

I also found Palpatine a unique villain that keeps his true motives to himself to exploits his victims weaknesses. He would find chinks in their armors to mold them to be like him. Silver is just probably similar to that extent it’s just some villains don’t really share that trait.
