Playing with such passion, watching and listening to Katy is truly one of life's great pleasures. She touches you to the depths of your soul. Love this woman.
Larissa Stevenson the comment.... the idea that this music stirs Celtic blood within those who enjoy it. Even though anyone could feel that kind of connection without having a Celtic bloodline. The comment isn’t wrong but just annoys me as it implies that anyone listening is Celtic
@@ilovesesshomarusama716 I would agree somewhat, but I think that what she meant was that it stirs up all of our Celtic blood, because everyone has a bit inside of us that is even 1 percent Celtic...
My parents are big fiddle lovers, so they basically made me play violin. But I love it! I was okay with some fiddle music that they liked, but seeing your videos makes me really want to learn! This one is my favorite now, and I really enjoy listening to it!
She is so good I also love Irish fiddle music I have been laying my whole life!! I hope to become famous and travel all around the world and play for people.
Only thing better than Irish music is a lovely Irish lass playing and/or dancing to Irish music. I’ve never seen an Irish lass who plays well who doesn’t also possess the most fetching smile in the process.
I have followed your playing since 2016 when I got a banjo, listening to your songs, really helped me play better, you are really great to listen to Keep the good work up and thanks for sharing
I love this version. I´ve said the same in other oppinion about you: I really love your fiddle playing. I love irish music and I learn too much with your videos. It´s absolutely important that people like you show your skills. Thanks for teaching.
I clearly don't know what it is, but you sure got it! Found this channel when searching for Drunken Sailor on youtube. I love the way you play that instrument. Thanks for sharing.
Dear Katy: Thank you for this very moving rendition, and supplying the music to go with it! I've been practicing this on the hammered dulcimer for about 6 months now, and have finally gotten to a point where it sounds pretty good (however nowhere near your speed!). Thanks again, I just LOVE your version of this classic!
by far apart from the rest...my opinion that u play the best morrison jig ive ever heard......wanna play long island ny..? carneys irish pub in Amityville we would love to have you
It looks like Lindsey STIRLING, but with a celtic touch. Strong work behind. Please just don't force yourself to smile, let it come naturally. Promising channel. I wish you visit our celtic regions, Ireland, Scotland, Brittany and the charming Auvergne where I come from.
I learnt this song thanks to you! I have been looking for fiddle tunes forever but never seemed to be able to find any that are traditional irish tunes but now thanks to you I can practice and learn them! :)
Where are you all my life, my lady, i can't stop listening all your fiddles, they sound epic every time i listen to them. You're so epic, love your smile ^^
+José Antonio Salas Thank you! I'm glad that you like these tunes! The videos take quite a lot of time to put together, so I'm glad that you are enjoying them ^_^
joeh4232 Transporters are quite amazing these days - they even work in the mountains! : D lol just kidding...the audio was all prerecorded.. : P Yay for video editing power! ^_^ Thank you for watching and commenting! =) ..But they do need to invent transporters like in Star Trek...that would be so cool!
As absolutely appalling as my dancing is, I adored it none the less! You've inspired me to try and get into the fiddle myself, keep up the amazing work! :)
+NinjaWinja I can't dance either...but I still have fun dancing around in the living room! : D No one has to know...hahaha! xD But thank you! It's a lot of fun playing these tunes! (= I hope you have fun playing them, too! : D
Another gread vid and music ! this is just wonderfull , like swallowtail jig, i love this kind of music, and you do it perfectly ! you deserve all the view and positive stuff !
I was thinking that too when I was making the backing track. I wanted a lot of bass and drums in the backing track. Thank you for your nice comment and for listening! ^_^
Awesome playing! I play this video loud on a speaker and attempt to play guitar chord accompaniment to it. Still haven’t mastered it but some day I hope to.
Riverdance is the name of a show featuring Irish Step Dancing, and yep, Irish Step is danced to jigs like this one, among other music types :) It's really fun!
+Cocapants Kfs I'm sure you will be able to!! : D It takes a lot of practice, but it is definitely worth it! =) I've met viola players who can rock out with Irish fiddle tunes. They are really cool people -- the viola is awesome! I hope you have fun practicing! ^_^
WOW! I play fiddle too, and this is EXACTLY what fiddle is supposed to sound like. Not as good as you, but know what IS good. Very accomplished. I "collected" several tunes from you!
+John Atherton Wow, thank you John! I'm glad that you liked the tune! =) I'm still learning how to record my violin to make it sound more like how I think it should sound.. To me, it sounds really differently recorded than in real life, but it might just be how the violin sounds right under my ear. I have recently just learned a few more things about microphones, and I'm super excited to record some more to see if it sounds a little better! Thank you for listening! : D
What other songs do u play that show irish love going hard like this drunken sailor and swallowtail. So amazing how the violin/fiidle can sound. I love the music I find of yours...I wanna hear more like the please💚

Sounds simultaneously like a battle song from a medieval videogame OST and a peacful sun-and-rainbows type song. Whatever it is, its perfect.
Very nice song. The scenery is beautiful, and beautiful lady. Thank you that was great and made my day!
Thank you for sharing God's gift of your tremendous talent. Your music is beautiful.
