Yea....Phil lowered the difficulty halfway through... On survival difficulty, explosions from being too close to a bomb or an exploding arrow, did MUCH MUCH more damage. He is barely taking any damage. The huge giveaway was the Laura fight though. She was literally standing next to him like 5 times and never attacked him once.
I don't mind Phil lowering the difficulty but don't be dishonest about it and try to convince your audience your playing on survival difficulty. That's dishonest and cowardly.

I like how he things that trial and error in a video game is something to look down on as if you're supposed to beat something you've never played before on the first try
It's usually criticized when there are no hints of the actual threat. Phil, however, uses it to excuse his own idiocy.

I'm at 56:10 I've never played this game. I have no idea how to save her. DSP keeps saying "I don't know what to do" That is his way of asking stream chat. Common sense tells anyone at least try breaking the glass to let the water out, or break the pipe that is filling her cage with water. Try axe, pistol, shotgun, then maybe explosives. I don't know if this will work, but it is better than saying "I don't know what to do" and waiting for chat to tell him, while running around doing nothing in the meantime. He doesn't even try, just waits for chat to tell him the answer.

I'm playing this game now, and for every chapter I complete, I come back to see how bad DSP did it. It's pretty satisfying look at DSP fail so bad to something I've dove easily
dsp.. and i dont mean this as praise, is truely the most unique person on youtube. If only he was smart enough to use that to his benefit rather than acting like a child and throwing away every opportunity he gets, he'd be a youtube sensation. Not in the way he wants to be, obviously, but hey.. fame is fame, and he could certainly benefit. No one on youtube is quite the same mix of idiocy, annoyance and ineptitude. You hate it, but you just cant turn away... no, more than that, you just want MORE.

I'm really surprised how many people get tunnel vision on the Laura sequences. The devs give you so many options to burn her, even more if you maxed out the Harpoon Bolts (best upgrade besides max matches IMO). Of course DSP takes to a whole nother level.
Also fucker should see what bomb disarming looks like on the highest difficulties.
Kojima should actually put a "DarkSydePhil" difficulty option below very easy on mgs 5 to troll him lol.
I'd like to see a game that's specifically designed to cater to DSP.

I literally just sat through this whole 3 hour and 47 minute video. Usually, I comment on these TIHYDP videos, but there's just too much to say about this one. I'll just leave it at a simple, Phil's an idiot.
As for the uploader, bravo on having the patience to wade through so much footage and put it all together. Watching Phil play is the ultimate test in patience, so I can't even imagine what it's like editing one of these together.
I know this is a two year old comment, but watching Phil's playthroughs are very boring. These TIHYDP videos are not an indicator of the average DSP playthroughs. Instead, it's mostly unedited gameplay, so there a lot of boring shit. Phil's playthroughs are 90% nothing/dull and 10% fuck ups.
That's why I could never actually watch Phil and instead, must watch these videos. LOL!

This is my favourite TIHYDP by far. Returned to it many times.
Just had to chip in and say that this was a pretty damn good TIHYDP you put together. Really made watching through this "play-through" of his much more manageable and entertaining. Also enjoyed the little bit at the end there for further exposing old Phil there.
I love how he pauses a cutscene to say, "WOOOOAH, HE'S MAKING A THROWBACK TO RESIDENT EVIL", before not understanding that you should shoot zombies in the head when you only have 6 bullets, and then being confused about what burning bodies does. If he really remembered RE1, then he should have remembered the mechanic about burning bodies and Red Heads, and he should keep in mind what he just said. "Oh he's making a throwback to RE! hmm, perhaps I should keep that in mind as zombies and body-burning mechanics come up..."
Also, how do you not recognize the contraption going *BEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEP* with a flashing red light as a bomb? Have you never played a video game or seen an action movie before?

I agree. Some TIHYDP are bad. People without talent are hopping on the bandwagon making them, and they just copy other TIHYDP. They reuse the same clips and memes like "Just in time for the fireworks" and "Ha ha ha Are you serious"
I absolutely love ones like this that take the time to do the slow motion replays after DSP say things like "4 headshots", "The bolt went right through his body", and "I died for no reason".

I honestly think DSP would be happier ditching that "girlfriend" of his, getting himself into shape, getting a decent job, and just streaming each big game as it comes out on Twitch. Certainly sounds more dignified than carrying on this so-called "job."

I have this dream in which DSP gets into a terrible car accident, his seatbelt has trapped him inside the twisted wreckage, the car slowly starts to burn. Another vehicle pulls up behind the crumpled, flaming heap that was Phil's car to offer assistance. The figure pries open the door and stops once he notices it's DipShit; Phil looks up and starts to scream as he sees Hideo Kojima pointing and laughing while watching him burn to death.

I know this video is old, but I have to say, bravo to the editor who made this TiHYDP video. The editing is great, it has a lot of comments pointing out Phil's hypocrisy and failures and the whole thing is just really fun to watch. This is how a great TiHYDP should be. I played through this game without upgrading anything. Maybe aiming on the PC version with a mouse is just that much easier? I can't really wrap my head around how poorly he manages his resources. I was almost always maxed out on matches and at least one type of ammo when I was playing, but I also went for a lot more head shots, and relied more on the pistol than the shotgun.
Not defending DSP at all but the aiming on console is awful. When you rotate the right thumbstick around, the aiming reticule forms a square instead of a circle.

To be fair that good idea and bad idea segment looked like he was on the easier difficulty but yeah that strategy is a much better approach then what DSP attempts to do..

Phil is his own worst enemy 29:15. Player character has limited stamina zombies have endless stamina. Rather than kill quickly puts his back to the wall and uses an explosive round the part where he burned himself was icing on the cake.

I like to think that this game was made specifically for DSP.
Something about DSP.
There are LPers who talk during cutscenes, but if they do they try not to overplay the action going on on screen or try to match the mood of the scene, even IF the make jokes.
DSP BLARES everything he says at full volume, drowning out all the action and sounds on screen, he never even tries to hit the mood... and he's a captain obvious beyond believe. Yes we can see the crane in the city escape scene was falling, it was friggin' FRAMED so we see it, you don't have to blare at full volume that it does so.

Dude, this is amazingly done, usually if an intelligent person makes a this i how you don't play it's always entertaining. You edited everything very smoothly, you picked out very good comments too. Personally I like watching Phill play horror games because I'm super scared to play them (just not my type) so he actually softens up the whole process for me by being himself. But yeah 9.5/10!

Really liked this game, I had some issues here and there but Phil is on another level.
Out of curiosity what is the actual point of burning bodies in this game? It seems like a linear game to me where you never really backtrack. Resident Evil remaster made sense to me because you have to backtrack through rooms where you may have killed zombies and if you don't burn the bodies they come back faster and stronger. I mean as long as you keep going forward and never go back is there even a point?
If you burn a body as soon as one or more enemies come near it, you will burn all of them. This means death for almost all enemies, but it's often very hard to time. Also bosses get massive damage from fire too.
Basically you can either waste like 12 bullets on a tough enemy, or one well-timed match will do the trick.
4grammaton Thanks for clearing that up I've just never played this game but it looks interesting. Especially the art style which dsp said is by the same guy who did resident evil and you can really see the similarities.
Some enemies play death if you enter the area , so you can burn them to avoid suprise attacks

Just wanted to add that I don't think he was playing on casual. When you play on survivor, the bombs have a much smaller "safety" zone when disarming them, and on casual outside of a couple, are much larger.
