- A Starfield guide going over the Starfield Sabotage Mission and walking through how to do the Starfield Sabotage Mission stealth. This Starfield Sabotage Guide goes over a 100% stealth undectable way to do the Sabotage Mission in Infinity LTD Headquartes without being seen (as Ryujin requested). TIPS I MISSED:
- The end alarm can also be turned off with a passcode found at the computer in the room
- The vent jump is hard, step forward one step from where you feel aligned then jump or better yet boost up
- Guards can hear you as well as see you so take off spacesuit, helmet and backpack to sneak better.

I have an extra guard for some reason in the bathroom area. So that guard for some reason falls through the roof, and is standing in the cubicles 😂 great game
After you get into the bathroom from the hatch up top, just friggin fight them till next vent in lobby. Stay on those ceiling things to vent on top of elevator, enter this vent. Fight a little. The end becomes easy.
Where is the passcode for the end alarm. I cannot find it.
This mission is the bane of my existence. Never would have made it thru without this.
I watched another short video by some British/English guy (forget the channel name). He had a non stealth way of beating this mission. You go in for the interview through the front elevator. You then follow the secretary to the person and talk to that person acting like you had an appointment. She'll send you over to another guy to talk to, and that's the PC you install the first piece of software on, claiming it's your resume or something like that. After that, the stealth to get to a certain area, where you mind control a science tech to open a locker. You jump down there, put on the lab tech outfit and take the keycard. Then walk right in and do your thing stealing the item, and walk right out the front door, they are non the wiser (change your cloths before you leave). I know I'm with you, the pure stealth stuff is difficult mainly due to how Bethesda programmed their stealth algorithms. Even maxed out, even able to turn invisible when crouched, you still get detected way more than you should. Hopefully this advice helps.

Talk your way in to the first two areas. For R&D only worry about being seen until you get to the room with the prototype. Then just grab it and hop back in the vents, slip past the one guard, and run back to the elevator. Then take the elevator to the ground floor and you're out, likely without a single shot being fired. Don't sabotage the ventilation system; it only makes things harder because then guards will shoot on sight no matter which floor you're on.
Yeah stealth in this game seems largely useless beyond the stealth meter. If you had stealth maxed out in Skyrim or Fallout you could do burpees in the middle of a meeting of all the BBEGs in the game and they'd be like 'must be the AC.'

@@CerealOverdrive the manipulation is stupid. The turret will target guards instant. I did all the way up to the one guard with turret, with no invincibility, but idk i had to use invis power there. Every time i used manipulation on guard, he run down to the turret and died. I could not get to pc in time. Guard got insta killed. The invis power is a joke. Tried not use it but in the end i had no choice :(
Game auto saved the moment I got caught, then I accidentally quick saved, and I no longer had a save where it wasn’t ruined lol
4:17 If you can’t jump back in the vent, take Amp. It gives you 2x jump height.

After 1.5 hr.the game crashed as I entered the elevator on my way out.
When I just RAN through the whole mission the game would give me "you are trespassing, etc, etc" warnings even when I was off planet. I had to end up reloading an old save. This game has so many bugs..

How did everyone finish the mission? I couldn’t turn the stuff into the SSNN guy. It never showed me where to take it and I couldn’t find him on my own.
@@mikeblackmer338he's in the SSNN entry, you just talk to him and give him the slate. When you take the elevator back to the entrance, go outside to the right to the next building over and he'll be standing there. At least he was for me.
So, here's a tip: if you have any speech skills AT ALL it's better to talk your way in and NOT sabotage the ventilation system. You will be able to walk around freely on all but the R&D level, and only have to sneak to actually do the tasks. For the R&D level, the guards and scientists will alert on sight. However, you can use the vents to get to the room with the prototype, disable the alarm, then grab it. They'll see you, but if you jump back into the vents quickly you can get out of there without a single shot being fired. Then wait for the one guard to turn around, dash across the pipes and back to the elevator. Ground floor and you're out. If you sabotage the ventilation system, there will be a LOT more guards and they'll all be on high alert, forcing you to sneak EVERYWHERE.

you don't need to sneak on the R&D level, you just need to steal a keykard/disguise from a locker in a cubicle on the floor above R&D. The locker requires a key so you have to manipulate someone to open it. You still have to sneak on the floor with the cubicle, but its conveniently beneath those lights you crawl across.
Pro tip: Reconstim will be your best friend in this mission. It will grant you -30% movement noise for 10m.

Also if you don’t wear a helmet with your suit, bring ailments aids since I got burns and lung damage from the gas.

5:34 For anyone wondering, there’s a door at the top of the stairs that the computer to deactivate the turret is in. As soon as you reach the top of the stairs it’s immediately to the left and appears inaccessible until you read the emergency text saying to cut it. You can use your cutter to destroy the pins and drop in to get around the bugged red ID door.

I just tried this, but as soon as i started the cutter, everyone was going apeshit. is there a silent way to remove the pins ? because i don't have any ID card. seems like i have to go thorough this hatch :/
I found the backside of this door inside the vent above the computer thinking that this was the designed egress route after taking the prototype... I spent WAYYYY too long trying to figure out how to open it before giving up and writing it off as part of some other mission lol thanks for removing that mind splinter!
I ended up just making that noise, they came after me but i did manage to hide behind the open hatch until they calmed down again. didn't seem to affect the mission success ''''\('-')/'''''

Since the implant is really not intuitive to use and the stealth mechanics are quite choppy with no knock out options, this guide was a heaven send!

I came really close to just shooting my way through, but this guide made it possible for me to do the mission right. I also utilized the Void Form star power to turn invisible and get past the guards. They often heard me, but soon settled down. Thanks for the walkthrough!

Like so many others…this mission had me cursing. So sensitive even with maxed stealth and chameleon helmet with operative suit. Thanks for the video.
Make sure you take off your space suit before you attempt any stealth missions. They are super loud if you don't have max stealth. I was able to do it pretty easily with just Rank 2 stealth + operator suit.

Thanks for your guide! Did some experimentation with the mission when I did it and discovered two things:
1) Novablaster is very useful. Full charge stun and wait in a corner for the heat to die down. Good for the annoying minions and won't count towards kills.
2) You can destroy the turrets with a silenced weapon. Sometimes they'll trigger a search, others times not. Turret kills do not count towards kills.
@4:50 I CANNOT make it past that turret without it seeing me and triggering the alarm. I have a silenced weapon but it’s low damage. Any suggestions?

that turret at the end can also be hacked with robotics skill, making it much easier since you dont need to try multiple times if using a skip pack, also the guard near the turret controls will eventually start to investigate the lab so i recommend using that manipulation ability to send her off until you get the item, hide and once she goes back in just use the ID to lock the doors again
To make this way easier, take off ALL of your gear except the stealth suite you get before the mission starts. The less armor you have equipped, the quieter you are.

That can mess with you if you turn on the heating, the corosive gas can give you lung damage and make the guards hear you, especially around 1:56.

If you have the 'Sense Star Stuff' Power it can be really helpful by letting you see people through walls for a time instead of trying to peak at them.
And here when i first got it I thought it would be useless. 😅
I used it a lot the whole time but I think it kept glitching out the ability to dominate the guards

Thanks for this, I was stumped in a couple of places! Though of note, you can't get back into the shower vents without boost, I didn't realize this and spent half an hour jumping around trying to grab the ledge.. Luckily I had a skill point
Exactly. Don’t try this if you don’t have fizzy lifting juice. This is NOT a normal jump and you will have wasted your time
You can just equip a pack, use the boost and then unequip.
@@Diegofromthesun I don't believe so, no.. You need the talent "boost pack training" that gives you "You can now utilize boost packs". Of course I had one on, I just couldn't boost jump without spending a skill point

Also if u can’t make the jump in the shower, where u can deactivate the turret on the pc if u keep walking along the back of that area their are two crates that are stacked that will lead you up and back where u first entered the ending area, I almost got fed up and went loud but luckily with some dedication I still finished it with major stealth
or use your boost pack for the jump then take it off to stealth some more

Great Guide! Thank you! If you just don't want to bother with this, you can set the difficulty to very easy and then just run this whole mission. I made several quick saves and used about 20 med packs, but I knocked the whole thing out in 2-3 mins. I tried several times, even with this great guide.. I kept getting detected when no one is around me. I was in the elevator shaft and was detected.. guess I found a bug lol that's when I gave up.
Same boat, unfortunately, but also, don't have any skill points put into stealth or nor do I have the stealth aid buff smh made just a little past the elevator shaft and I'm caught up right before the turret part. I can't sneak past the turret no matter what I do
I got all the way to 4:16 and then didn't have an amp to jump back up to the vent. Ran the rest of it and destroyed a turret, seemingly no difference in outcome afterwards than if I'd stayed in stealth.
if you still have your space suit, helmet, and weapon equipped... you make noise in stealth... Unequip all but your gear, you'll be so much quieter. I did this quest, but was seen several times... Run fast and hide.... After a while you'll hear them start to doute that they ever saw you... Then you can continue on.

Thanks CO, great walkthrough, for those who can't reach the shaft to jump back, I hope you have some "AMP"s on your hands. It's a drug that you could find in the AID section, that increases you jump height. (It helped me cause I don't have the jumppack/jetpack skill yet)
Had this exact same problem, but it’s just bugged, if you keep jumping and boosting eventually you’ll hit a sweet spot and grab the edge of the vent without needing AMP
A lot of the time people need to go forward a bit. I thought I was lined up but the game disagreed

Just a note. The guards are hearing the armour clinking. unequip your armourand just use the stealth gear provided.

@@Anedime Don't get me wrong I got detected loads of times. But specifically look at how loud your movements are with armour and and how loud you are without it. Assuming the meter is actually functioning as it is expected (I know not a safe bet with a BGS game) but still in theory you are more silent without the armour.

Well, you did almost the same routing I did. I had to back-track on saves a few times. I was hoping to see a 'better, easier, quicker' method, but no. Regardless, I am glad to see the route I found was worthy and I am sure that those who have not finished this mission once will love to see a smooth method.
I used a different method to get into Faye's room. From the elevator shaft (where there was a guard in it and a guard outside the vent for me - very hard level), I jumped across to the far piping, worked all the way around to the back, dropped down, crept along the wall, up the small flight of stairs into her office, grabbed the key. Looting the safe found nothing 'cool', unless you like a Legendary Frenzied Modified Drum Beat. It was a disappointment. As for stealth, remove your spacesuit, pack, and helmet, toggle walk mode, presto, you are much quieter.

When walking over the guards, CAPS LOCK will make you walk slow, and make stealth even more effective.

Holy crap this mission was hard. I literally did everything you did. But every gaurd is just there watching me or right by where I am. Took me 50 re-loads easily.
not sure if its me but i been trying this for hours and at certain point the guards will do diffrent paths when i reload like i got to the bathroom and when i opened the door i see two guards and one will not turn away from the door

@@rnoxxyo use the novablast disruptor it's basically a tazer and no you don't fail stealth using it I had the same as you I just completed the mission I don't wanna admit how long it took me

I'm impressed. I ended up frustrated and killing a bunch of guards. What's-her-name was disappointed but no difference in the outcome.
This helped me a lot. There are a couple points that were different for me maybe because of guard rotations. The biggest one being a guard inside the room with the neuroamp so I had to use the emergency door to drop in from above.

You probably know this by now but stealth is based on the weight of everything you have “equipped “. Easy helper is to take your space suit off and only wear the operative suit. Thanks for showing which way to go. I shouldn’t have a problem now.

This was great. The only thing I did different was turned off the alarm first, before grabbing the prototype. Also, you have to time the turret/computer sequence correctly. You have to peek the laser and make sure it isn't looking towards the computer when you deactivate it, otherwise it sees you. I ended up making the mistake of saving all the way back at the second vent (by the exit elevator) and then realized that the guard you manipulate REALLY wants in the lab. She detected me and I had to do it all again, twice. You MUST shut the door behind you. I used the Space Stuff power (Detect Life for you Elder Scrolls fans) and no joke, once the door opens that guard runs straight for the lab. But really, thank you for the video. I spent 3 hours on this mission before I finally broke and checked the walkthrough and you explained it all pretty well.
P.S. The talking isn't bothersome. In walk-throughs it's necessary, it's usually only annoying if you're watching a full play.

3:53 after you pick up the ID card just go through the orange door, u get to the same room but from a better angle and just skip everything. And then dont close the red door so u can keep track where the guard is and time the exit. This mission can be pretty easily done without doing any mindcontroll etc. (But mind controll helps since the AI is awful in Bethesda games)
Your guide helped me a ton! This is the only game I play right now, and with work and family, I don't get the 3, 4, 10 hours a day to play lol. So this helped so much. But, that being said, I don't understand the stealth problem. I just used an aid to give me 30 percent more stealth, and the suit they give you adds 25 more percent. I never had to manipulate another. they never heard me at all.

This mission gets far easier if you show up with both the "Void Form" & "Sense Star Stuff" powers. The first is a short duration cloak, and the other allows you to see where the guards are through walls. Both are obviously handy in this nightmare mission.
Yeah, with I knew that Void Form is bugged and actually stops working if you have full stealth because then moving makes you visible - even IF you have void form active.

Pro Hint: The walk/run toggle also works in stealth, so at 1:25 where you say "This part is hard" is actually very easy if you toggle walk/run (in stealth) and creep slowly. You never have to move the guards and there is no chance they will hear you.
If you don´t wear armour/armor it´s also much easier. I went by in normal stealth speed without an issue.

At 5:20, there is a cuttable wall directly on your left and in view in that moment. If you make the guard go have a picnic elsewhere and disable the turret, you can skip getting the keycard entirely.
Mind you, I used a sword to cut the hinges. I assume a silenced weapon can work.

@@NewvirtuesIt's not quiet per se, but the laser cutter does those super quick and it's not loud enough to set everyone off, provided you've dealt with/manipulated the guard

The stealth is not bugged. Most people don’t realize that if you’re wearing your space suit (even if it’s auto-hidden) it will tank your stealth. I did this mission without being detected at all just wearing the stealth suit and no space suit or helmet. I only equipped the pack 2 times where it was needed for me to get back up in the showers and up the elevator shaft. Even just wearing the pack and no suit/helmet tanks your silent movement. I wasn't wearing anything but the suit given for the mission, and a chameleon helmet.
Still kept getting heard and seen even when I was completely still crouched in a corner.

It's ridiculous that they even have alarms, since they ALL know exactly where you are when one of them detects you, and see you through anything always.
@@immune85 I hear you. I had chameleon on my pack and was getting detected through walls. Took that off and then the "hidden" bar was white the whole time. I'll bet anything your helmet was screwing you over. The debuff for space gear against sneak is ridiculous. Not only does it get worse as you wear heavier gear, but even the lightest helmet will kill your stealth ability.
EDIT: I can't verify, but with some light testing, indoors debuff seems worse than outdoors. I think the game knows when you're indoors and penalizes you for wearing your space gear when it isn't required.
@@_cul8r_ I tried without the helm first, that didn't work any better. Played on "normal" difficulty. I already stopped playing that shitty game, though. Not worth the rage.
The guards are hearing you because youre wearing your armor i imagine. Seriously, try it out. Sneak up on someone with ur gear on, and then do it again with each piece off. You will see a major difference, huge. Yes the corrosive gas can hurt you without ur armor but by this point you should have alot of the aid to rid you of the yellow(lungs) and purple(cough) statuses. Thank you so much for this guide. I was struggling with the very last part trying to sneak past 3 guards and a turret like a dummy lol

Excellent video. The main difference I did at the end was make a bit of noise so the guard came closer, then I manipulated him to attack the turret...the turret won. That changes the exit plan too, hop back up on the pipes and hug Angelina Jolie again 😅

Ty for the help ^-^ worn weight affects sound so if you remove your space suit, helmet, and pack you'll make less noise. Just put it back on for the gas part or you'll suffocate
