Sometimes I feel like we the humans are really small piece of this eternity and deserves the same amount of it, don't take me wrong it's just the way it is...no greed, no fear, no emotions !
Any alien listening to this would assume we are threatening them. Being the genuises human beings are, this "time capsule" also contains the exact location of our solar system and earth's location within it, as well as detailed information about the human genome.
Why would they assume that? It contains many sounds some of which one would presume are familiar to a life form which evolved in analogous environment to us - lightening or rain for example would be recognisable sounds.
I wouldn't think they would assume that... I mean carl made sure not to put any sound nor image of war or religion.. Its supposed to show them what human begins are what the world we live on is like... Plus I don't think the aliens would be as right minded as you are in thinking that this metal thing that was flying through space that has a disk with noise and pictures on it would immediately go to war... Plus i dont think you would have picked a better set of sounds or images to put on it... Other than that bomb ass mix tape
Now I ask would it not be awesome for some farmers to be wandering through their fields and find one of these records? Once examined and found to be authentic, would that not send chills down your spine? Just something to think about!
The only things they might recognise would be heartbeats and the kiss, maybe crying too. They are probably SO different from us that there would be basically zero chance of them having language even remotely similar to us. There is no guarantee they would even have a sense of hearing.
War? I heard an aeroplane and then marching which to me seems to symbolise the forward march of time... Maybe it was a threat though. Don't fuck with us

WHY DON’T YOU PUT THE TIMESTAMPS!?!?!?!
Yeah this is probably the biggest thing keeping the dark forest theory alive
8:02 -Ehmm nope. Nope. Turn around! TURN AROUND!
Sometimes I feel like we the humans are really small piece of this eternity and deserves the same amount of it,
don't take me wrong it's just the way it is...no greed, no fear, no emotions !
Beautiful
@@agelessgoose2217 hopefully there not human like so they dont come hear just to steal resources.
beautiful tbh
Kayla m lmao your profile pic
Lol it's like one of those "spooky Halloween sounds" CDs we used to play in haunted funhouses...
The way it begins sounds like the first track of an art rock/prog rock album.
Laurie Spiegel, who made that, did make electronic music, after all. So I definitely get those vibes.
I love how it starts with atom bomb blast
I think natural sounds are more beautiful than music
5:15 oh shit , that scared me af
Expect we could get this type of records from other world
For whatever reason I find this incredibly spooky and sad. Like the Earth is already gone.
A noble effort.. wonder what will happen..
癒されるなぁ
from the Japanese
Now I ask would it not be awesome for some farmers to be wandering through their fields and find one of these records? Once examined and found to be authentic, would that not send chills down your spine? Just something to think about!
this earth mixtape is straight fire
The aliens would probably hear all of these weird noises and consider it an act of war.
The only things they might recognise would be heartbeats and the kiss, maybe crying too. They are probably SO different from us that there would be basically zero chance of them having language even remotely similar to us. There is no guarantee they would even have a sense of hearing.
6:17 Carl Sagan Laugh *no lie*
Are we trying to tell them something by ending it with sounds of war???
LuBu4u
Very interesting
War? I heard an aeroplane and then marching which to me seems to symbolise the forward march of time... Maybe it was a threat though. Don't fuck with us
That was an ultrasound of the heart beat of a baby at the end of the record if anyone is still wondering
Why do I find this sounding good?
4:50 bro this jumpscared me and the aliens like: 😵
I can not believe that those who made this «soundtrack of Life on Earth» did not think to include the most beautiful thing created by humanity: MUSIC!
Bravo NASA!
There was music. Chuck Berry was even on there. I can't upload the music content without getting in to trouble...
@@KeithPhillips , Oh!
Thanks for your quick answer! I have suddenly regained some confidence in humanity. ;-)
So, there is music on that disc. That's what I was told a looong time ago. I've been told there's also some Beatles. Do you know something about that, do you have the list of the music? Thank you!
@ NASA lists the music contents here:
voyager.jpl.nasa.gov/golden-record/whats-on-the-record/music/
(I think Bach gets the most)
AkashicRecord , absolutely amazing!
That's a long playlist, isn't it? The record must not turn at 45 rpm!
Think it goes at 16 2/3 rpm
Imagine the aliens found this disk, decipher the instructions and contruct a record player, carefully lower the needle, and then....
sit around in confusion because they evolved no sense of hearing
Voyager has a record player on it
This would be the first 10/10 by Scaruffi
The could have just sent the Beatles "Revolution 9" record. Kidding. It's sad to think that by the time an alien finds the album a lot of those nature sounds could be gone.
My question is, what if other intelligent life forms don't have any means of playing it?
The way to make a device to play it, the instructions are on the top of disc... If they are intelligent enough they could make it work ...
There are instructions on the disk itself explaining how to play it.
What if they can't hear it?
+Ignoscis then here's to hoping they send it back out
Taylor Stanford if they're able to retrieve Voyageur in the first place they may be able to figure out how to play it
I'm a human, and I hardly even know what I'm listening to.
This sounds like an awesome starting to a Pink Floyd song
We should of did sci-fi sounds to make them scared and to think that we’re way more advanced
THE ANTHEM OF PLANET EARTH, HONOR¡
Remember that this disc was used for mother fucking BEAST WARS
