For my money, I would choose both Oliver Cabell and GREATS before I put on Common Projects.

So which is it for you? GREATS Royale? or the Oliver Cabell Low 1?
I have both and love the Low 1 look but the back of the shoe is so low. My heal slips out unless I have them tied fairly tight. The Greats fit more like a traditional sneaker and my heal stays in the shoes even if I loosely tie them.
Quick question: Does the OC Low 1 fit a bit narrower then the GR? I have flat wide feet, so which one would you recommend for my case? I do love the OC look more but I feel like the GR might fit my feet better. Thanks!
The leather comparison in this video is quite poor, calf is not necessarily better or worse then a full grown cow, it’s just different. A non calf leather can be higher quality then calf based other factors like thickness, how it’s tanned, where it’s tanned, how it’s finished, etc. The comparison is better then nothing but lacks a detailed comparison of the shoe is constructed and how construction impacts user experience.

I have a pair of Oliver Cabell Low 1s and I absolutely love them and they stay on sale so you can get them at a much more reasonable price than others.
Yeah, I've had mine for just over a month now and I wear them all the time---so comfy and really classy looking for a sneaker.
I think greats could've kept the Margom sole. Oliver Cabell does a price breakdown of every shoe and Margom soles cost $3.30 per shoe or $6.60 per pair. Add that to their current price and it's still under $200.

I looked into both of these earlier this year but decided to buy from UK brands opting for the Grenson Sneaker 1 and Artisan Lab Essentials.
Both are comparable to the Olivers and Greats with quality leather and soles at a very good price👌

Man I was literally doing a sneaker battle for my next upcoming video ! This was a great comparison between two minimalistic sneakers though. Never heard of Oliver cabell tbh, only heard and know about Greats. Aside from quality, which do you think looks better with age? Great video 👍
Nice! Well I'm excited to check it out! Yeah, Oliver Cabell is a newer brand-- I haven't "aged" either of these yet, but my guess is that Oliver Cabell will age more gracefully, just because of the calfskin leather. Though my GREATS are about two months older in this video and they still look fantastic. Pretty comparable I think, but I'd say Oliver Cabell gets the slight edge for aging.
I just bought a pair of greats royale. Super cool looking shoes but after using about ten times the inner sole on both shoes peeled away. I felt the shoes were way too expensive for this to occur. Greats customer service disagreed with me. Buyers beware.
I ordered the Oliver Cabell in size 12 and the laces are way too short. I went back and forth with their useless helpdesk who kept repeating the same line... that I don't need to lace them all the way to the top. I wish! That's not even my issue. Even if I lace them only to the second eyelet, I still don't have enough lace to properly tie them and that creates a ton of tension on the lace and shoe whenever I try to lace them. These laces will not last a month if I wear them with these tiny laces. Helpdesk didn't understand nor cared to understand. What a waste of $250. If you are taller than average, buy your shoes elsewhere.
I ordered the Oliver cabell after this video last saturday. How long did it take for you to receive your order? Also for anyone looking for information, they’re really slow at responding with email. It took me a week for a response and I expect it to take another week.

Good review. It should be mentioned that Greats Royale definitely run larger and one should order a half to full size smaller. I bought Men's 7 /40 EUR and selling to replace with women's size 8.5 = 38.5-39 EUR. They're all 'blanco' so the appearance is gender neutral/unisex
I have greats in 9.5 but my right foot is wider so it doesn't fit. I wonder if the OC in size 10 will fit me

How does the size of Greats compare to that of Oliver Cabell? I wear a US size 9 for Greats and wonder if I should go up by 1 size for Oliver Cabell given it has a narrower toe box?
I’ve got a size 12 in both. The Oliver Cabell’s fit well other than my heal slipping out unless they are tightly tied. The Greats fit but I could probably have gone down to an 11.5.
