Just gonna put this down here, something that irks me is that Walter here uses "They" for every single leader. I mean, "They" is either used as a chosen pronoun, indefinite, or to refer to multiple people. It just doesn't make any sense.
I don't like it either, but I thought I'd leave that out, because I do that in my daily speech as well. In writing I'd take the time to use the actually correct pronouns.
I believe it can be used to refer to royalty too but I’m not sure. Royals customarily used “we” in English instead of “I” or “our” instead of “my”. I *think* it went both ways, but I don’t know for sure. But yeah kinda silly to say they for leaders who pretty clearly were male or female. I’d imagine quite a few of them might take offence to that if they were still around. Can’t imagine Genghis Khan being too thrilled being referred to by neutral pronouns rather than masculine ones lol

Thanks a million. I wanted to say "for Ruhr", building Ruhr Valley is a big part of the meta when playing Babylon, and I made an unforced error by not having a spot for it next to my two main IZs.

Never thought someone would make a video about this (horrible) tier list. I stumbled upon it last year, and to this date, it is the only tier list I bothered directly contacting the author to voice my opinion on how utterly trash the tier list is. This guy not only makes a technically bad tier list, but he obviously has no clue about the game on the highest difficulty. Basil and Peter at the top is ok, but the rest is ranging from questionable to outright laughable (Lincoln, Alexander for instance). In other tier list I tend to often disagree (I don't believe Jayavarman belongs at the top for instance), but at least I can see where the author is coming from from believing that the civ should be on the top. This guy is just trash bad.

I think it's fine to make a tier list as a Prince player, as long as you say that in your intro, just like we tend to preface ours by saying we play on Deity, and sometimes we'll say something could work better or worse on lower difficulties. And like you say, no two persons will ever write the same exact tier list, but as long as the explanations are there, you can accept and even learn from other people's assessments.
So. . . when's your tier list coming out? You obviously know better than Walter just from the points you made and elaborated on regarding the kits of Saladin (Vizier), Abraham, Hojo, Genghis, etc.

I'm aiming for June. I'm thinking about doing a Unique Unit Tier List first, that will be useful to build off of. 🤓
