This just makes me want a bloody palace mode for this game and hell they already have a tower it can take place in. The DLC was great and it shows that the devs are listing to some of the criticisms from the main game like the difficulty being to easy and not having interesting accessories to equip.
from what I know, they are making one but isn't implemented yet
Finished it on FF mode, whole dungeon was a blast. The Omega fight left a good impression and I was indeed feeling the heat 😂. Hope the rest drops soon
I loved FFXVI so I'm definitely going to jump into this and the 2nd dlc next year.
The Omega fight was actually incredible. The music, visuals and how challenging it was (in FF mode).
the dlc kinda makes me wish for several of these scattered around the main game
they could honestly make 4 more of these and 1 more like leviathan and have them all scattered around the game to give you something else to do
it would be pretty cool if you had that option
As someone who is a fan of FFXIV this dlc was great. The attack patterns and bosses felt like they came straight from 14. Also Omega’s boss track is the remix of the track “eScape” there is also “A Long Fall.” This version was incredibly fast paced and they threw in a little Azys La to boot a small reference to another “fallen” civilization. If this was an idea of what we can expect then I imagine the next dlc will be pretty special.
I always love seeing the Omega weapon take in each final fantasy. And this did not disappoint

I no-damaged Omega on Final Fantasy mode to get its medal of valor, and I don't think I've ever been so clenched during a boss fight in all my years of gaming. Both from hype of the scale and banging OST and terror of getting hit and having to reset. Really looking forward to the second expansion and finally learning more about Leviathan.
How many times did you reset the fight?
@@crossroads8370 prob only 4-5. It took me a while to get used to all the visual spam in phase 2 to understand where to dodge.
Really good video devil love your videos a lot I definitely see you are a huge fan of both Devil May Cry and Final Fantasy Witcher 2 of my favourites franchises of all time deathly love the see someone loves ff16 this is much as I do and deathly cannot wait until rebirth comes out next year and the second ff16 DLC hope leviathan's gonna be pretty awesome but I guess we'll just wait and see till the time comes keep up the good work doing your videos are awesome and congratulations on getting the platinum in every Devil May Cry you are awesome player❤

@devilnevercry since you have access to someone at square enix. Please give them this feedback.
Let us equip all Eikons at once, please, the game play would be incredible!!! They can lock this behind FF mode and as optional if you want, but please please let us do this!!
4 or 5 eikons at once would be great. They put an accessory in from the dlc that gives you 6 air steps. They can add an accessory to allow you to use 4 eikons in the next dlc.

If the devs are worried about balance, I think it would make sense in a complete overhaul of Ultimaniac, where it is a full play through difficulty not just stand alone segments, and thus locked to this mode.
It would give many players an incentive to play to unlock it past FF mode, and then keep it balanced with the amount of damage those enemies do.
Challenging dlc. Very good game overall. I don’t understand why some hate on 16. I agree its so different than the final fantasys of the past but its still part of the series and im a massive fan. Better rpgs but its prety good game and this DLC is fine
The new Rising Tide DLC has apparently improved the other Eikon abilities, which means you may want to make an updated video.
Now that my star is available in the orchestrion I can be sad at all times in the hideaway. Thanks ff16 😂
I was just happy we get to play more 16. Aside from a few nitpicks, I love the game. Its short and sweet; I died once to the final boss. I wouldnt mind a sequel.

Based on what Yoshi P said in in a recent interview regarding the DLC's, it is likely that these two are the only once.

@@xkey_blade9558 Not as far as I know. But he probably gave multiple interviews, so maybe he did say something among those lines. But I have not read it myself.

If in any case there will be more, they can't say anything right now aside from they have no plans (which means like when its base game released, a lot of feedback for more will make them a new one for this game, dlc or sequel/prequel)
I started my New Plus Game playthrough, and I got quite awhile before I reach Origin again. Only way I can play the DLC, is by going back to an old save on normal mode 😭. I really love the Omega Weapon design, but Guess I'll have to be patient…😢
This was precisely my situation, and I did exactly that, used an old saved game to play the new DLC.
Doing it on FF Mode was the right thing to do.
It was short and little dry about the lore (huge exposition dumps that make context when you start connecting the dots), despite giving lots of lore.
Still - battle rooms were always fun and challenging.
Omega kicked my ass twice but it was fair fight. Shame it was so short :/
Will be playing both of the DLCs once the rising tide drops. I really enjoyed the original FF16 playthrough. People say it was too easy but not for me lol.

I liked this. I think it coulda been a bit longer. It was only a couple hours, and it costs $10. A little pricey, but the boss fights, specially the last one, were incredible. Also, the prerequisites were pretty goofy if you ask me. Had a great time with this though, I hope the Leviathan DLC is longer and juicier.
Ur in luck mate. In the interview for ff16 with either ps blog or square enix they said the leviathan dlc will clock in around 10 hours

i have to say im a little bit tworn on ff16, i beat it last month and I'm still going to do my new game + play through but I'm probably going to hold off and wait for the second DLC.
i have mixed feeling about this game, i heard so many people compare it to devil may cry and honestly i feel like the proper way of putting its more like watered down version of devil may cry. Ive put well over a 1000 hours towards dmc 5 and ff16 combat tbh sometimes i got board, idk if I'm spoiled from playing so much ff7r or ff15 or maybe even dmc5 but there is something missing for me. Maybe the options of switching characters? because all the powers and moves are pretty cool but they kinda just remind more of ultimates and special abilities. Or more like tools like neros devil breaker system because each icon power only really 2/3 powers you can use then you swap between the other ones you have.
i listened to your control and guide videos and love them but i missing something? because the way you describe and play seems to feel more interesting?

Gotta agree on a lot of this. The basic combat is very limited without eikon powers. Would've helped to have more sword/magic combinations.

ff15 is horrible. Its character action made by people who are inexperienced with character action. FF7R is not character action. You press one button to get to your turn based system.

that is because of accessibility. They did not add a fourth eikon ability for example to switch to because they believe its too overwhelming for casuals. And as proven by what most people did to progress with the game by not engaging with the deeper mechanics *eg. parry in ff16 (because you do not need to), they were right in not adding a 4th eikon to swap to. But when we took a look at how the combos opened up in the training room, its deep. Difference is that you do not need to engage in that aspect.
How are you spoiled from ff15? In that game you literally hold one button and the game plays itself,i love 15 but combat is one of the worst aspects on that game
@@MavisE7 in ff15 you have the option to literally switch to the party members. Not just the quick time switch’s , you could choose and play the party members . And each party member had there own play style. And depending on how customized them a unique set of skills that are powerful and at certain points more effective than noctis .
My wondering of sort of being “spoiled “ is by the other party members.
The teleportation system of 15 compared to 16 is also different . Because 15 also had the perch points to where you could regain hp and mp within a fight .
Noctis’s limit break after gaining all the 13 royal weapons also changes to have more play able options.
I understand fully that ff15s combat is terrible . But the game still provides different options and ways to play .
I’m not saying that I hate 16 or that 15 is better but these mechanics and choices within the game of having the party members and a fully unlock able limit break made the game more interesting .
@@KenTheEagle2001 in base ff15 you couldn't switch to other party members ,it was a feature added with the royal edition
Even if we consider that a feature of the base game , clive moveset and eikon's abilities are way more complex ant diverse compared to smashing a single button on 15
Any words on the improvements to the Arcade Mode? Does it finally feel not cancer anymore?
A technical bonus meter has been added to Arcade Mode. Taking advantage of it makes the S rank experience more inviting.
Attacking with air combos, Torgal, Counters, and magic burst really bumps the meter.
Now melee combos and moves that would do a lot for the multiplier, but not that many points, can coexist with the big collateral moves and other big points moves.
Also completing the level within a time gives you up to 1.5x multiplier to all points!
Apparently it's alot better but I haven't had a chance to play yet. From what I've heard, you can now play the game normally and get an S rank if you're good enough (basically no farming required).
Are there better weapons than the ultima weapon in this DLC??
There is the Omega Weapon. It’s not better, it’s the same. Better armour though

Expansion Pass has 2 DLCs for $24.99…. You won’t be able to play the 2nd DLC which will be Release Next Year if you only Buy this Echoes of the Fallen for $9.99.
You can buy them separately I believe

@@inzone88make sure to save in a separate file when you do the DLC, I saved over my finished game and can’t replay it now
@@dementedteletuby126 yeah i can replay it with my saved data prior to doing the quest, but devilnevercry had footage of doing the quest equipped with the omega weapon….
@@inzone88stage replay and arcade mode both get the new dlc level so you can replay it on either with the omega weapon after you get it
Overall I didn't enjoy this DLC. It would have been interesting if Holograms were used and we learn more as to the why they build the tower, the overgrowth issue and other information, the only redeeming thing was the last battle was a lot of fun.
So the Fallen are the Blight? or maybe something else? 🤔.
I guess the only way for me to really enjoy ff16 is if they revamped the whole gameplay, so never, it’s a shame is not even close to be good specially compared to good action games like dmc games or sekiro
I've downloaded the dlc, and have tried several save file points...go talk to Charon...and nothing....someone please help me out
Do you have both Joshua and Jill in your party?
Finish "Cut from the cloth", "phoenix heal thyself", "where there's a will", and "priceless". After those side quests are done you will unlock the DLC
@@xDevilNeverCry I had to download the update in order to play the dlc. Don't know if I got early version of hardcopy or what, but after the update got it to work no problem. Thankyou for your help!!
Hated the prerequisites just let me play the damn thing had to do 4 side quests and pretty much the whole game just to finally get the damn thing to say you can play me now
My only complaint is that they werent transparent about dlc, and this is clearly cut from the base game

Fuck omega on FF mode was a pain, but also fun. Sad its so easy that i was able to almost platinum the dlc is just a couple of hours, all I'm missing is one Fallen bit

Eh, story was mid, boss fights were mid, no new eikonik abilities, no new eikonik fight. Not sure what they were thinking with this….
the game cost me 100 bucks to buy and now they want me to buy a pass at 33 bucks a month and dlc pack at 15 so the game then cost 115 plus the 33 buck a month screw that it is not worth it not in the slightest for a game that was not fun to begin with and more fo a god of war game
