i love your guides for the game. some of the tips gave me some inspiration to really mess around and combine summon skills. definitely helped for me to get into the top 100 gobal for the first stage in arcade mode
Clive must Die mode is called Ultimania in the game & boy that mode is insane...much much harder than Final Fantasy mode. It's not New Game + but as apart of arcade mode. If you really want a challenge this mode is for you.
They should've really given legendary weapons like a passive ability with it instead of the typical higher attack and will damage. Would have made it something to look forward to. But the game is great and the story was a blast.
With the way the game works, it would have probably made the game a little busted without reworking some of the mechanics. That being said, having specific weapons that work with Eikon abilities may help to make some of them more useful like having a sword that increases the number spheres summoned by Impulse by 1 or something like that.
Just the blacksmith missions. You need ragnarok and some ultima items that are picked up through the story. I havnt got that far yet but think you can only get it deep into the game
Honestly, landing the full magic burst combo with the Torgal extension is satisfying AF on its own. Weaving in abilities, counters precision dodges etc is plenty engaging
I’m just gave Hugo a hand in NG+, still grinding for the Ultima Weapon, more of a challenge but still a bit easy. Looking forward to Ultimaniac to bring the pain lol
I am thinking to skip all side quest from now on and i am past the half of the main story up to that piont i did all side quest but i still want content to explore in my second playthrough. I did about 5 hunts now. Should i just plow through the mian quest and go finish all sides, hunts en trails in ng+ ff mode. Because i feel like i need more challenge too
@@Kurt634 something to keep in mind though. to get the better version of the accessories you get from side quests in ng+ you need to get it in both playthroughs (getting the better version works by combining the 2 you get in each play through into 1)
@@Kurt634 To that end, not all sidequests reward accessories so you can look up the accessories themselves(and where they come from) to make sure you have what you need before you start NG+ Some Accessories can only be found in treasure chests(and each hidden trial Arete stone has an accessory for the Eikon it's associated with)

Honestly a missed opportunity to make the harder modes accessible from the beginning of the game. The game is very fun and I'd have enjoyed it even more if the game was more punishing. If FF mode isn't hard enough I may replay the game with no armor
I think no armor is a good call. I will take that idea and use it myself thx. I havent finished the mode yet but the damage the bosses do so far (35% story in) have hardly done any damage despite mobs being 2 or 3 levels above
What about buying all the swords and gear I started new game plus and noticed to upgrade the accessories takes having double of each can you double up in the first playtrough or can you buy them later on in new game plus Incase there’s some u missed like a original cooldown accessory you didn’t buy in the first playtrough my or have only one of ??

Man i started Final Fantasy mode after beating Rebirth an completely forget how to play .. I keep hitting O to dodge an what not... Not showing what button to hit in QTE is wild ..
Just started FF Mode and oh boy, i caught with my pants down when a f**king CHIMEREA strolls into a trash mob fight!!! luckily they have the same attacks as they do in FF14 so it wasnt TOO bad for me personally.
@@tiltingart9276 Same here. It is undoubtedly a great game, but performance is blurry (720p) and even resolution mode dips to 1080 at times. Truly frustrating. And don't even get me started on motion blur. That said, this is my GOTY so far. The combat is the best I have ever played in an RPG.
A bit confused, Say I start a final fantasy mode using my save file I beat the game with, then I realize there’s still something for me to get in the original save file. Can I go back to that save file, get what I need, and then restart another new game+ ? I’m wondering if starting a new game+ makes that old save file inaccessible, and if i need to get something I can just go get it and restart the newgameplus with my updated original save file.
After i’ve started my new game plus, can I still go back to the old save file and mess around? obviously not keeping progress but am i able to go back and forth between the two
@@tehCostHD idk, felt like the long charge time makes the ultimate ability not worth it? Just using the fire, wind, and electricity since I feel like those three gives you the most damage per second roughly.
I mainly use Gigaflare for its immense physical damage (even more when combined with lightning rod). I don’t mind Bahamut, I just don’t use it much as Wings of Light is a very defensive tool and I often prefer a very aggressive approach to combat

I’m new to action games. Been cruising through FF mode until I got to the liquid flame boss at second mother Crystal. I’m stuck here and trying to find some recommended builds from here on out. My previous build carried me just fine until this point Edit: No timely accessories please I refuse to use them, that said I only have the xp and ap bonus accessories equipped
Oooh! I love that fight, I actually beat it without receiving damage. My build was: Phoenix - Pile Drive / Judgment Bolt Shiva - Lightning Rod / Dancing Steel Odin - Rift Slip / Gigaflare All I did was having Shiva out and parrying his very telegraphed attacks with it to freeze him in place (you can easily parry the SECOND kick and the punch after he does a combo and teleports away). Then I would use Rift Slip, Lightning Rod and dancing steel to charge Zansetsuken and you even have time to drop on him everything else (Judgment Bolt, Gigaflare and Pile Drive for the stun damage) before he starts moving again. Just use accesories that allow you to reduce the cooldowns of these abilities and the Zansetsuken one that allows you to charge it faster so you dont rely as much on also having lightning rod available. I recorded the fight and could send it to you if you want. P.S: you can change Pile Driver for whatever you want. I would have used Diamond Dust but didnt have enough points to upgrade it all the way and add it to a different Eikon. But any option that does good stun dmg is good
I think that'd be pointless since there's nothing more to unlock. So when you reach the last mission in NG+ b4 final boss you can indefinitely do what you're saying.
I don't want to watch this video because I'm trying to avoid spoilers as much as I can but if someone could tell me if this game actually has good combat coming from a long time devil may cry fan. My expectations are pretty low but seeing devil never cry make videos on it makes me think i might be wrong about it.

The hard mode is designed for NG+ it wouldn't make sense to be able to pick it from start. Almost everything would kill you in one hit while you barely do any damage.

Final fantasy mode is not just hard mode, it is ng+ mode. A real hard mode didn’t exist. Final fantasy mode extends level cap to 100 so you could not do this in first play through as the first enemies you encounter would kill you if you hadn’t the levels you grinded in first play through.
i would like it if they improve the gearing system tbh, its my only gripe with the game, if the weapons/armor had passivess or substats it would be perfect
I would love if they add nioh or stranger of paradise dlc where the difficulty is increased massively and it’s basically a hardcore player only dlc, for those that are level 100. With insane bosses and such.
Is there a hard mode? I was on Final Fantasy mode starting to fight King Behemoth. My 9 year old kid wanted to play. I taught the buttons and he defeated King Behemoth in less than 5 minutes. So where's the hard mode?
Hard mode, it’s not even hard, my problem with bosses in this game is that almost all of their attacks are evadable. It’s really just disappointing, like Stone’s throw for example, it’s literally a Giant Boulder, but then I find out you can just phase through the boulder by dodging. What’s the point of introducing a new Mechanic (Brimstone) if you can just do dodge, It’s really just disappointing.
Can anyone think of a possible reason why a hard mode wasn’t available from the start of the game? I’m enjoying this game a lot but I’d like it a lot better if it was more difficult. Coming from Elden Ring and GoW Ragnarok on the hardest difficulty, I’m kind of missing that itch of difficulty.

Best decision I made since the demo. Clive voice acting in English is really cool, and rather misleading, he sounds like a villain imo. Japanesse is always my go to in any game.

Just beat Final Fantasy Mode with NO ITEMS and it was STILL way too easy. I like FF16 as a whole but I was hoping to have a real challenge like I did with FF7R Hard Mode.
@@Temperance_XVII when I got the platinum I was running phoenix odin and Garuda, with rebirth, diamond dust, gigaflare, dancing swords, judgement bolt and the Titan ultimate. Titan was the least useful against bosses but that move absolutely destroys regular mobs. I played for fun and to be a true mythos, using the power of all the eikons, but this game is really cool in how every skill has some kind of use. Optimized or no, final fantasy mode really isn’t that terribly hard, but it definitely was a fun platinum.
@@lazyvoid7107 almost, but it wasn’t that engaging the first go around. Final May Cry (or Devil Fantasy), was mostly hack and slash, held little strategy, and was WAY too easy. Give me the option to play hard from the beginning 😒 (In short, game play was “meh”… just enough to board’ly play till completion 🤷♂️, but the music 🤤, did they know the music out the park!, story was good enough ((they could have gone darker)), over all a boring 6.5 out of 10 🤷♂️.) Wish i would have waited and played the DLC the 1st go, but im not going back, it’s a boring (strategy less) game.
Ultima weapon is in ff6?! Just it was a hp based weapon. And Lion heart is just Lion heart is it’s own weapon. It was in ff8 and ff13. They did it that way to not confuse the weapon with the boss. I think 12 and 13 is the only game that never had a Ultima weapon except maybe some of the earlier titles and 6 was the only one that had both the weapon and boss. Good explanation though
Have anyone completed NG+? If so, is it possible to play again using NG+ save data? Would really love to take the longest time soaking in every single detail in the game if possible despite no more trophies to be achieved.
Found out today on action mode you can just stand there and Clive will just dodge and block everything. I REALLY hope this changes because it's literally impossible to die half the time
We need a bloody palace mode eventually. A Leviathan Eikon DLC akin to Dmc Virgil DLC would also be awesome.

I was going to do this too. Speed through the story then just restart in hard mode and then do all the quests/hunts there

Hey DnC, how do you time the precision dodge for the dragoon's double jump attack? Is there some sort of tell?
A somewhat quick count to to three on the first jump followed by a count to two on the second jump... try it out in the Arete Stone at The Hideaway

There is not button prompts for cinematic clashes, but screen flashes

How hard is it to grind to 100 in Final Fantasy mode? Is it a lot longer than getting to 50 was in the first playthrough?
I reckon the exact same only increased by the amount of time you take on tougher enemies and crafting the best gear.
If you finish new game+ on FF mode and start another NG+ on action/story mode will your level be set to 50?

Motion blur is worse in fidelity mode, I think. But it's way more stable
Facts. I simply can't stand fidelity mode for even 5 mins. My eyes literally get hurt. Not sure how it's a prefered mode for some.
I'm playing this on a big a** 4k TV on performance mode and it's fine. Looks great still. A game like this, less input delay matters.

The first ability and the ultimate are great. The feat can be good too if you are willing to sit there charging it

I want to say no. Just more enemies, they hit harder, and some fights have 2 mini bosses that you have to fight at the same time.

Can you play another NG+ after your (first) NG+ ? Well... Can you play NG+ 's indefinitely with your maxed out character ?
I think that'd be pointless since there's nothing more to unlock. So when you reach the last mission in NG+ b4 final boss you can indefinitely do what you're saying.

Late comment here but the combat is awesome and pulling off combos is amazing. Highly recommend

You get to keep your resources, I’d say you can get away with selling common resources but keep the rare stuff as you might need them

i would like it if they improve the gearing system tbh, its my only gripe with the game, if the weapons/armor had passivess or substats it would be perfect
I would love if they add nioh or stranger of paradise dlc where the difficulty is increased massively and it’s basically a hardcore player only dlc, for those that are level 100. With insane bosses and such.
Is there a hard mode? I was on Final Fantasy mode starting to fight King Behemoth. My 9 year old kid wanted to play. I taught the buttons and he defeated King Behemoth in less than 5 minutes. So where's the hard mode?

Hard mode, it’s not even hard, my problem with bosses in this game is that almost all of their attacks are evadable. It’s really just disappointing, like Stone’s throw for example, it’s literally a Giant Boulder, but then I find out you can just phase through the boulder by dodging. What’s the point of introducing a new Mechanic (Brimstone) if you can just do dodge, It’s really just disappointing.

Can anyone think of a possible reason why a hard mode wasn’t available from the start of the game? I’m enjoying this game a lot but I’d like it a lot better if it was more difficult. Coming from Elden Ring and GoW Ragnarok on the hardest difficulty, I’m kind of missing that itch of difficulty.
The devs literally said that they want players to experience the game first and foremost before challenging the hard mode

@@AvengeBasketball I feel you but that will just make me take more damage, that won’t change the attack patterns of enemies. In my opinion the regular enemies who aren’t bosses are way too easy. They don’t attack enough

You can, but if you do ng+ final fantasy mode then start a ng+ from that finished save. You can only select final fantasy mode difficulty.

Best decision I made since the demo. Clive voice acting in English is really cool, and rather misleading, he sounds like a villain imo. Japanesse is always my go to in any game.

Just beat Final Fantasy Mode with NO ITEMS and it was STILL way too easy. I like FF16 as a whole but I was hoping to have a real challenge like I did with FF7R Hard Mode.
My tip is all ultimates all the time. Who cares about stagger when you can nuke!
Yeah same I’ve mastered all the ultimates and use every one on every ability slot apart from Titan’s cause his sucks ass
@@Temperance_XVII when I got the platinum I was running phoenix odin and Garuda, with rebirth, diamond dust, gigaflare, dancing swords, judgement bolt and the Titan ultimate. Titan was the least useful against bosses but that move absolutely destroys regular mobs.
I played for fun and to be a true mythos, using the power of all the eikons, but this game is really cool in how every skill has some kind of use. Optimized or no, final fantasy mode really isn’t that terribly hard, but it definitely was a fun platinum.

@@lazyvoid7107 almost, but it wasn’t that engaging the first go around. Final May Cry (or Devil Fantasy), was mostly hack and slash, held little strategy, and was WAY too easy. Give me the option to play hard from the beginning 😒
(In short, game play was “meh”… just enough to board’ly play till completion 🤷♂️, but the music 🤤, did they know the music out the park!, story was good enough ((they could have gone darker)), over all a boring 6.5 out of 10 🤷♂️.)
Wish i would have waited and played the DLC the 1st go, but im not going back, it’s a boring (strategy less) game.

Ultima weapon is in ff6?! Just it was a hp based weapon. And Lion heart is just Lion heart is it’s own weapon. It was in ff8 and ff13. They did it that way to not confuse the weapon with the boss. I think 12 and 13 is the only game that never had a Ultima weapon except maybe some of the earlier titles and 6 was the only one that had both the weapon and boss. Good explanation though
It's also in 7 and 9. also there is ultima weapon as an enemy in 7.
Ultima weapon is in every game I believe. Same as genii gloves and many other things.
Have anyone completed NG+? If so, is it possible to play again using NG+ save data? Would really love to take the longest time soaking in every single detail in the game if possible despite no more trophies to be achieved.

Found out today on action mode you can just stand there and Clive will just dodge and block everything. I REALLY hope this changes because it's literally impossible to die half the time
