Alex simply isn’t interested in performing with him and Sammy wants fans to know he tried as not to disappoint us. It’s Eddie that Sammy would not likely have ever performed with again and took his death to regret he felt that way. He’s ambivalent toward Alex and tried not to hold a grudge and give him opportunity to be the performer he really is and Alex kept quiet instead of a public no. Instead he did his own thing and eventually did explain he doesn’t feel like performing since his brother died. Reasonable enough.

I've never heard him say a single word about Van Halen without being asked by someone about it, shrug.
