Thx. I wasn’t aware of these potential problems. The radiator covers are great since I was concerned that the factory grills allow a bird get sucked up in there. Yea like a jet intake killing a bunch of birds. That’s all we need some aviary conservation starting to complain about our C8s. The shock tower situation is a actually pretty serious. If not for the first owner definitely for future owners and repair shops.Yipes! Once again thank you 😊

I did make templates of all the grills just in case and I may make one for the drivers side that’s a little more pliable. The strut tower covers I did that mod back in December. I saw where you had some water in yours in a previous video and meant to tell you about the covers but it slipped me.

Chief Corvette engineer said not to use the grill covers, as they reduce cooling, and if the DCT has issues as a result, GM might not cover it under warranty.
@@RWDC8Z Now having said that, GM does offer them now in the Accessories catalogue, but they are not recommended for track use, etc... I did talk to my local dealer's Corvette tech this week, and he said to go ahead and install them if I am not tracking it... He said the front ones that are prone to damage, and protecting them with a mesh screen that isn't too small, would be fine.

The grilles look great. My concern would be -- how much does it disrupt the airflow. I have some pre-fab front mounted grilles. Having an aviatiion background when I first held them and looked at them I could tell there was some engineering that went into them. At high speeds I can't help but feel the ones you've mounted are going to create a fair amount of turbulence.

I had a great experience with the product. I think it’s just legal stuff they have to do. At the end of the day it’s nothing mechanical. It’s just an ABS plastic screen. So not much to warranty to be honest. Thanks for watching!
I see a lot of TH-camrs filming like this now. Constant moving and jumpy segments. There must be some analytic that says this works or is beneficial. Especially for those with ADHD or what ever.

According to GM the radiator grill is not necessary. I just checked for water in the towers and they where dry as a bone. Bing bang boom done.
Hockey puck with an eye bolt is a cheaper option for jacking pucks. Even cheaper when the puck is a promo puck from a fireworks store. :)
