So sad! Whenever I see an abandoned old house I think of memories it holds from those who lived there over the years.
Kara LN ... I feel the same way... Sometimes you get a glimpse of their lives with the stuff they left behind... One of the reason I do this... Preserve at least a few memories...
Reminds me of a house I visited in Lawrence this past year that was like a time capsule from the 40s and 50s. Had a pipe on a bed still from when the resident passed away. Old dentist equipment from the 40s. Peanuts memorabilia.
It really is amazing what is left behind…
Was this part of the property that huge Mosque was built on not long ago. Maybe a couple years?… the amount of land that place takes up is quite impressive.. Especially since there has never really been much of any land or homes for sale on Chestnut St. ..
I haven’t been down there since the upload but I do remember parking at some power lines and walking a short distance to this house…

Chestnut is out of the way. She's closer to Brockton than she is to anything in Abington. Real farm country near Ames nowell.
This house wasn't abandoned. After the death of Mrs. T., the 'executrix' refused to let a family member live there to keep up the farm to keep it in the family. The sad part is Mr. T. was killed at the end of the driveway, being rear ended by a drunk driver while waiting to turn. Mrs. T. had a massive brain hemorrhage in her chair and passed away. It was once called Twin Pine Farm. It was bought when Mr. T. got out of the Navy and made it a gentleman's farm. Being a carpenter, he built the addition onto the existing house to make room for the 8 children they had. He never got to finish the inside due to the accident. Supposedly there are Indian burial grounds. What was once a thriving self sufficient farm with cows, sheep, horses, cats and dogs has turned into a very sad state....

I heard it was already starting to be cleared. That should have stopped once the objection was put in.

I'm 100% sure now. That's the abandoned house I used to play in. Th busy street with the guard rails at the end of the driveway is Chestnut St. in Abington. Right on the Brockton line. If you leave the driveway and go right onto Chestnut St. there's an apartment complex on the right side at the intersection when you get to the stop sign. Wow! That's weird that this video was recommended to me on TH-cam. Strange.

@@TheGallivantingGinger Obviously all of the classic type stories surrounded the house when I was little. The reason a couple of friends and I went in the first place was because people would always say it was haunted. I also heard even after it was abandoned people would hold crazy, weird rituals in there. Satanic stuff. It's been there for a long time now. I just turned 43 in December so it's been a long time.

Amazing video! It’s being torn down very soon they have started work out there and it will be gone soon. The lady who lived there had a book on alchemy so she could’ve been a witch.

OMG! It’s in Abington and I believe it was Chestnut St... Set way in the back off the main road next to the power lines... Wow... Can you tell me more? How long ago? Was it truly Gradma’s house? Last I heard there was a riff between two sisters and that’s why it decayed so much... I can only imagine how weird it is seeing this...

Where is this near in Abington?....I grew up there and was always out and about in the town exploring everywhere ( well...at least I thought I did!🤣)

You know I'm all for exploring abandoned homes and stuff but I cannot fucking stand how people disrespect it My tagging up a whole bunch of shit and just breaking stuff and tossing stuff all over the place These places should be left as time capsules kind of like you wouldn't go kick over a tombstone
Completely agree!!… Snot nosed teenager don’t give a rats ass about preservation… I have to admit, though, that sneaking up on them and scaring the shit outta them is quite fun!! That’s only happened once… I hope I get to do it again 😂
Why the music to ruin a beautiful place. I just get so tired of finding what i think is a great video only to hear someone felt that the beautiful outdoors needed music.
