- Hey friends and welcome back to our channel! We’ve been having some great luck diving at apartments lately, and today was no different. We found so many awesome art supplies including paints and canvases that we will be able to repurpose!
It’s so fun to be able to find and use items that were headed to the landfill. I hope our videos encourage others to donate instead of dumping, and maybe to even give dumpster diving a try! :)

The wire rack was designed for 45 records, it you can use as mail organizer or for cards at Christmas

It would have also been used as an old school file folder holder/desk top organizer for think file folders.
The wire thing is definitely a record holder! I totally remember them. I'm old! 😅😂
When it's Halloween🎃, I would love to see how you all decorate and how many items you use were found in the dumpster. Of course, Bones has to be part of the decorations.
I've seen their home at Halloween in past videos and it's awesome!! They could do tours! 👻💀🎃

I have seen people keep 45 singles in that rack and I have seen older people use it to hold their bills as they get them in the mail.
Some of the hardware on the wooden furniture pieces you leave behind is so gorgeous! And maybe Bones will want to wear the harness? 😊
I've often thought that too...some knobs and handles that i see on old furniture could be repurposed into works of art!😊

To clean out oil paint brushes, you can use lacquer thinner. My dad used to paint with oil paints, and that is what he used. Don't leave them sit or soak too long in it, tho it will dissolve the bristles on the brush.

Those yellow table legs can be recycled into great candle holders. I’d love to see you two upcyclle some of the small furniture finds. So much you can do with just paint. Love your videos and never miss them ♥️

You were right, the metal "thing" is definitely a MCM record holder. I had one when I was young. This one is for 45's, as a couple people commented. You can see many for sale online anywhere from $15.00 on up. Wish I'd kept mine. I still have a few 45's and a lot of LP's! Congrats on the great haul today! As always I saw things I'd have grabbed. Mostly the furniture pieces. I have a table and chairs on my back patio just waiting to be spruced up or repurposed. Love the art supplies and those awesome bamboo framed pictures! Always shocks me what people throw away!

I would have cleaned up the coloured candle jars and used them for flower vases or put a votive candle in them. Their colours reminded me of sea glass. I’m glad you noticed the polka dot dress, that would be a great colour for you to wear.

Metal piece was to put 45s( small records or bills.We have so many cicadas we often can hear each other when sitting in our yard.

That is huge! You just got an invitation to Picker Culture. The salvage business is about to boom. Not the same as reselling or gathering metals. It is more about rescuing items from landfill and repurposing, refurbishing, and upcycling. You can make a decent living collecting obtanium for crafters and refurbiishers.

Why the heck would they throw away marijuana? In states such as mine, we have to buy it from street dealers.

The gold springy basket thing holds letters/bills, etc and is meant for an entryway or desk.

The metal thing is for records. It was used to store 45s, they came in paper sleeves so the wire wouldn't scratch them. They were also handy for the music at parties. Everyone would bring their 45s and they'd put them in the holder for the "DJ" to have them handy and sorted so they could change the records quick.
Great art gallery haul lol plus so much more. I remember the rack from about the 80’s for eps known as 45’s / single records so Alex was right just fo4 the single version of Albums. Nice one 👏👏👍🏻😍

The nerf gun is actually for launching a tennis ball for dogs to play with. Its really fun and shelters use them for enrichment when the dogs are in the play yard

The metal thing you thought was for records is a desktop mail or file sorter. But you could also use it to hold the little records. Looks vintage. 👍
When I was a teenager we used those to hold our 45rpm records. So yes it is a record holder. It is vintage as I am 76 years old. So at least 60 years old.

The rack is a record holder, for 45s. It can be used for letters - incoming or outgoing.
That rack held 45's ( the small records not albums) back in the day! LOL You could use it on a desk for bills and mail or notes, etc.

Awesome haul of treasures! Way to go! Fun Dumpster Dives! The long metal item I feel is to hold letters, cards. About the cat tree you found. Just some advice... Please, buy sweet Bones a new Cat Tree! Finding a used Cat Tree would not be good. Because; it would have smells of other cats, who knows if the previous cat that used the old Cat Tree might of used it as a bath room, not sanitary. Absolutely the best would be that your beautiful- handsome Bones had his own Cat Tree. Bones own smells. The table you found was amazing! So appreciate your effort in saving items from landfill! Its a record rack for vinyl 45s
I hope you find gesso. That will save your paint use. Gesso’s then let it dry. It may need 2 coats. .After it drys smooth out the application with a fine grit sandpaper.

21:00 My mom says she bought one of those metal things brand new in the 1960's and they were sold for holding your mail. To organize your bills so you don't misplace them and forget to pay them.
My mom also said that she had a similar holder for records. But the slots were about an inch wide and the dividers were much taller.
❤ I started watching your videos and I got hooked I love your vibrant personality you're always laughing cheerful and so is Alex I've seen the garage sales but I wasn't able to chat cuz they were from a long time ago but a big hello from Lincoln Texas had I known this when I was younger I would have been dumpster diving but at my age now I'm lucky to get up in the morning hahaha you keep you kids keep doing what you're doing lots of love
