- Hey y’all and welcome back to the channel! We went out for some afternoon dumpster diving and ended up hitting it big on our last stop! The bags of clothes just kept coming - we’ve started going through them and all the clothing is in great condition with a variety of brands.
We’re excited to be able to wash and find new homes for everything instead of it being sent to the landfill. Hope you enjoyed this video!

WOW…I can’t believe how much clothes there are in the dumpsters it’s truly unbelievably wasteful - glad you’re all rescuing so much.❤❤
It’s great that you rescue the clothing. Textile/ fabric waste is a huge problem. It is equally as harmful as plastic to the environment. With “fast fashion” a big contributor we have more than we can deal with ( so we ship it to our poorer neighbours and they have to deal with it) I’m so glad you do this as I think most would not be bothered -especially as everything has to be washed. I’m a musician and I’ve had times in my life where I would happily use a case like that. Especially if it closes and the handle works. Always like opening up the little pocket inside and checking for ‘case candy’! Patch cord, whammy bar and strap….pretty good!!!
I think you could glue the outside of the case back in place.
Try that E6000 glue for the cover that would probably work well. Just after you apply it put something on top that will hold it down well as well as apply it evenly and press the covering down well. When u leave it to dry put like a big heavy book that will keep it held down well.
I’d use black gaffers tape to fix the outside and enjoy the beejeebers out of that case!

It boggles my mind.....when you know you're going to throw good clothes away (or anything else that still has some use).....donate them!!! Make a few calls, find out where the nearest thrift store/homeless shelter/church/soup kitchen/food bank/pantry is and drop off a box of clothes or two. At our local kitchen (they offer anyone a free lunch meal Monday, Wed, Fri) someone routinely drops off a box of clothes and everyone checks the box (or bag) and generally it's all taken by the end of the day!
Nursing homes and group homes are also places that could make good use of the clothing.
People are lazy, they dont want to take the time to go to a donation center to drop off their stuff.

Yes. It is easier for people to just toss and that’s why. Doing what’s easy without thinking what is best.
You’d be surprised how hard it can be to donate things. Two thrift store turned me away with clothing and household items before I found one who would take the donation. Very frustrating.

So sorry for your loss. My mom passed away in February. These videos have been a bright spot in my days since then as well.

Just a suggestion, with all the bins and totes that you guys find, why not carry a couple or few with you to put things in? That way stuff is more organized and then you can fill the truck with more goodies. Lol.
i have been thinking that all along, but there are ppl that are not open to suggestions,,,, i hope not to offend them, i love watching them....and that round pillow u found at the beginning, just need a bit of cleaning, and VOILA, u have what u been wanting
They got the re-usable bags for around vase from out of their vehicle i think. Its smart that they carry collapsable bags cause they hold found items but take up very little space til they need them. They usually find storage containers of some type or another on every haul it seems
She says a dumpster smells bad, and I hold my breath! LOL

I can tell you the dumpsters at the condo rentals are full of food, perfectly good unopened drinks and other items that house cleaners have to throw out in between renters. It's insane how much waste is in the dumpsters in Maui. It's actually really sad - if someone took the time to go through all the dumpsters in Maui and pull out everything usable it would probably equal several tons of usable goods.

The good items you do not need you can always sell at a yard sale! You can hot glue the guitar case back together.

My friend and I went to yard sales, rummage sales, and thrift shops today. I got some shirts and Halloween decor, she did her Christmas shopping. Trying to

Hi Kelly Alex & sweet Bones!! Great diving today!! That circular decor piece is so pretty!! Nice find on the purses & clothes!! Still can't wrap my head around people throwing away good clothing & other useful items!! Especially when everything is super expensive right now!! & they're really lazy!! Some of those dumpsters are so nasty looking in & around them where people just throw stuff anywhere 😢 so happy that y'all get all that you do!! 🖤✌️☺️
Why do people throw away perfectly good items that they could very easily donate? It makes me sad. But I am really happy that you guys take the time to rescue it
When there is too much laundry, you should take it to the laundry mat, you can do all the loads at the same time, fold and organize there on the big tables. Grab some coffee, a book, and snacks. Knock it all out at once. It's really not that bad spending 2hrs there, instead of 2 weeks doing one load at a time. Wish I could do it for ya, I love doing the laundry. 😅
The copper in the cords can be sold or used in crafting.
You emptied at least half of that dumpster just by taking those clothes! Wow!

The amount of plastic storage that you find drives me mad. They’re so expensive to buy. Honestly, if I was your neighbour I’d be giving you a list 😂😂😂
I used to live in a neighborhood in Portland where the neighbors were always putting out things and clothes they no longer used at the curb in their yards. Free of course.
Everything from furniture and clothes to food and plants.
I wish more neighborhoods would do the same.
I love the idea of you reusing T-shirts you've found on your dives for when and if you decided to have official Breafkast Channel tees. That's a great way to be kind to the Earth. I hope you really do it! I will buy one.

Today is International Black Cat Day!
Glue it down, put pieces of fabric on it and then apply decoupage. A lovely case.
The cords were cut, but the wires inside are worth money, especially copper for scrap or crafting. Or just take the box and put on your curb and a scrapper will pick them up!

Why do I get the feeling it's more about the videos than "the new home"?.
I had some bedding get wet, moldy, and mildewed from a leaky roof . My GM told me to put them in the direct sun outside for as long as possible and it would kill all the mold and bacteria, pull the odors out, and the more I did it, the lighter the mildew stains would get. It worked. I still had some faint stains in the bedspread seams, but not noticeable. That poof was so cool, it might have worked, depending on how deep the moisture went...and of course certain smells that won't leave. I loved that thing, but they're so expensive, even second hand. Good job guys! ✌

You two are awesome. Love watching you two dive together. I thought for a minute there you were going to fall over into that last dumpster. I love seeing your kitty bones. I use to have a solid black female named Raven. We rescued her of the side of the road as a kitten. She was dumped out in the middle of no where with no houses around. She passed away in 2018 and I really miss her. I have 3 other kitties. Two of them was Raven's kittens and the other was a rescue. They are getting to be older. I have 2 that are 10 years old and one is 11 years old.
Be nice to see clothes you find after wash and what happens to them would be ace to see what people throw away ❤

The blank tee shirt is an excellent idea, but I think that many tee shirts with words might look sick with something printed on top! Excellent video as always!

We try to get out there as early as possible for that reason! It's too hot to dive in the afternoons right now.
I’m in the same town as they are in, yesterday it was just in the 90’s for a good part of the day and I was freezing! I didn’t go out and before the day was over I was pretty warm. I really feel for people whose jobs/work require that they are outdoors in this horrific hot
weather without A/C, and the elderly, as well as footballers who have to practice outside. Sadly, I think this is going to be our norm going forward.
So all of that wire you found, you could save that in a barrel or something then when it’s full go sell it at a scrap yard. You’d be surprised at how much money you’d be able to make. Ninety pounds of copper wire is worth $170.

I adore you both and your appreciation for things that others view as "nothing". I like your resourceful take on so many of the things you pick up (I'm the same way about items- can usually always find value in one way or another to reuse them). I wish I dared to dive alone and I also need to figure out what our laws are- if any. Your comradere/teamwork is awesome and fun to watch. I enjoy "going on your dives with you" to see what you find.
Something I appreciate that you've mentioned in at least one other video is how you can use towels, blankets, certain pillows, etc for shelter animals. Fabulous ideas! ❤
It did make me wonder why you decided against grabbing and washing a floral blanket and what appeared to be a bag or box full of dog toys. 😔 Of course, you're free to take what you think is best, but I saw it as a missed opportunity.
In all fairness, maybe you saw or were aware of something I wasn't or it just wasn't on your mind at the time. Either way, thanks for helping the shelter/pets. ❤

Hey all, just wanted to say if you live close to a university definitely start going to those dumpsters because it's move-out month where everyone who stayed during the summer is now getting rid of tons of stuff before their lease ends. I’ve found bags of clothes, costumes, kitchen items, food, spices. Have set them out in a free stuff area and all are gone within 24 hours. These next 2 weekends - crazy - usually the biggest weekends of the year for dumpster diving at universities, especially with graduate student housing.
Hi Kelly and Alex! May I suggest taking the “better” clothes to consignment. I have been having lots of luck unloading clothing that way. The places I use donate the unsold clothes to charity so I feel pretty good about it. The pocket change I earn from it is nice as well. I make much more $ than I would garage saling the clothes.

You should start taking the copper wire and strip it, and then save all the copper. It might take you a while, but copper is worth a lot of money.

You two should get those clothes separated and go wash them at a laundromat. Stain treat them at the house. Bring your own soap and softener. A couple of hours and you're done.

Copper wire is worth $ at metal recycling centers. Those bees are probably honey bees attracted to sugars in trash (unfortunately yellow jackets are also attracted to trash). Great idea about the tee shirts for your channel merch!

Great haul!! Could you sort the clothes and stuff and take them to the laundromat?? If you use the big washers and dryers, you'll get everything done and be able to just fold or hang them up at home. One that we go to has a large washer just for pet bedding. The large washers are great for blankets and rugs. Maybe the bees like you because you opened bags and freed them when they were trapped? Take care ❤😊
Bee season, please protect them, if you can place water for them at home, a container with rocks so they do not drawn, :>)
That black octagon shaped bowl was from the same set that was my first set of dishes when I moved out in 1993. Everything was black and hunter green. :)

The nice thing is definitely that with your weight loss etc you can find clothes without having to buy them! Same with Alex! Plus of course shoes hopefully you can find some that fit! Clothes and shoes are expensive!
You can scrap copper wire even without the plugs they are worth money. If you find an appliance and it doesn't work, cut off the cord & collect them. You don't have to take the plastic off the wire. You can still scrap them.

If the fans don’t work spray some WD 40 oil on the Motor part turn the blade stem and work the oil in and plug it in and keep turning the stem to get it going and it works they stop turning cause they dry up i tossed out so many fans before I figured this out lol 😮
