    This man is an absolute professional. Uses stuff/materials & tools that I never knew were used and does stuff that is so clever. Never seen anything like this before. Any company should be honored if he's using their products. Should have stickers with his name next to his installs because they're all customized masterpieces. I'm sure he has accolades and people must be blown away by his work, I know I am.

I am close to 50 yrs old and have loved car audio since the late 80's. I really like what you do for the community and respect your knowledge. I have learned a lot in the past 9 yrs between you, Doug, Steve M, Five Star Car Stereo. It is a passion, wife calls it an addiction! So be it! Anyway first shout out to you and the channel. Any video that helps get wire where it needs to go, I’m for! Liked the way you ran the wire in the car, cleaned places not easily accessed and showed routing for wire with those industrial ferrels for the pass through to the engine bay. Those guys keep wet out of boxes in the factory. First time I’ve seen them used on a car. Good vid Mark! Lots of helpful stuff!👍🏻

    • @ixionn563
      @ixionn563 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I ended up using grommets and bypassing the factory door grommet, the way they designed it with connectors at each end makes it impossible to run 14 gauge speaker wire through. Apparently it's easier if you disconnect the grommets first but I couldn't get the damn things off. I have an '05 Dodge Ram 1500 (Chrysler makes Jeep, Dodge, etc) and it's the same deal. Be nice if someone sold door grommets so I could put a second set in instead of having the wire visible.

    YES, WE NEED A VIDEO ON DOOR PIN WIRING. I’ve been looking everywhere for over a year trying to find a tutorial on how exactly to run through doors on newer vehicles, especially those that don’t have empty pin locations that could be drilled through. I have a 2016 and I’m using factory wiring because I’d rather not remove my doors to run wire, granted I’m running less than 75W per door.

    Concerning your comment about running power wires close to speaker wire, the same thought applies to the factory wiring, especially on newer cars(like this one) that have CAN lines running through the harness. Will it interfere? meh, maybe. but it isn't hard to avoid just to be sure.

    Hello Mark, your built are incredible and your videos are very inspiring. The soundproofing process scares me a little but I think it's going to be essential. I have 2 questions for you... Why didn't you include the DM-810 in the system you installed in your father's car. And second question: Using an ultra-capacitor in parallel with the main car battery in this system would have been overkill for the alternator. Just a thought. If you had a small enough amp for the door speakers, couldn't you splice into the factory wires behind the stereo and mount the amp back there too and then just run the sub amp to the back? and how would all that work if you have the factory deck and need to have an aftermarket preamp output through the factory speaker wires still? Can that be done if you have the aftermarket door speakers amped?

    is it better to crimp your ferrules before putting them into the amp or should you leave it nice and round for more even contact in the amp?

    Quick question. How do you fine the efficiency rating on an amplifier?

    Got a question I've been wondering about for awhile with subs, a lot of people say running your subs at 2 ohm VS 4 ohm per say would make the sound quality decrease. Is this true? I really don't notice necessarily worse sound quality going from my old 4 ohm (single 12) to two 12s at 2ohm. Thanks.

    On the A pillars, is there a chance of the a pillar flying if the airbags inflate? That is my biggest concern on my Chevy sonic.

    Just a quick question, I have an underseat active pioneer sub installed and am wanting to add a separate bigger 12 inch active subwoofer, I plan to use a new wiring kit for the new sub , split the rcas at the amp end ,but the main question is can I run 2 amps with 1 remote wire, from the head unit splitting into 2 , I hope to install 2 switches up the head unit end using the remote wire split into 2 , then in theory I will run 2 remote wires to the back ,one to each amplifier, that way I can turn each amp on and off for different situations easily, does this sound like it would work OK? Or would I burn the remote wire out powering 2 amps and adding switches?

    What about the grommets used to take 1/0 power wire through the firewall? What size works best?

    Question: How do you run your remote turn on to two amps? I have heard some people say just splice the wire however I have also heard others say in some cases the current isn't always strong enough to supply both amps with the correct voltage to signal it to turn on. Any advice here?

      I have same inquiry. In fact in the video it seemed that the remote wire was divided. Some people use also a Relay connected directly to battery. Great channel by the way.

    Love the video! One of my favorite parts? 12:34...I love that the length of the video was a linear progression...I’m weird like that lol
