    Blues taste better imo. Especially in the winter time. I eat all of them though. Awesome content brother. Where are you out of?

      Yeah I definitely like fresh water fish in the winter more than I do in the warmer months. Appreciate it. I’m out of NC.

    What trolling motor and Garmin are you running? I have an XI3, wanting to set it up on my Nucanoe. Gonna have to give those shortys a shot also!

      I’m using the xi3 also. It works great on the nucanoe and is an easy install with the plate. My garmin is the striker 5. Thanks for watching the video!

    I have a garmin striker 4 . Just wondering how you tell what location the fish are according to your boat or kayaks ?

    • @nccatfishing
      @nccatfishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I switch the frequency to narrow down how close I am to the fish. This will also give you better bottom detail. I believe it’s the right hand side of your screen that will tell you how wide the sonar beam is.

    • @nccatfishing

      Yes to chicken. Caught a few nice fish with it. There should be some videos on here with me using it. I use it more often in the winter.

    Don't know if you are willing to say what lake you were fishing? I have watched a bunch of your videos love the content new to catfishing only cats i have caught are a few small channels from a pond, been fishing places around burgaw nc cape fear white stocking and can't seem to catch anything but bowfin have had a few good shots and a few to the surface but lost all of them before we even got a look and as of December this year I haven't even had a hit any tips would be greatly appreciated thank you .

    • @nccatfishing
      @nccatfishing  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey Ralph thanks for watching my videos. This video was shot on lake tillery. The winter in the river can be tough at times. The fish will bite but they aren’t usually as spread out as they are in the warmer months. Look for holes for starters but the biggest thing is find some bait. If you find bait fish then you’ll usually find predator fish. That goes for anytime of the year. Oh and another thing is bait. I find that perch, shad, and even chicken work really well in the rivers in the colder months.
