Um guys when John and Big James’ mom told them to ask to sit at the right hand, I honestly felt triggered because I knew something would happen but I was like QUESTIONING if she was asking the right thing like I was asking “Do you even believe in Jesus? Are you even THINKING of what you want your sons to say? I don’t think you understand what you’re saying. I think you’re jealous cause Simon got a new position and now you want your sons to get one too like you want them to REPLACE Simon?” To this point, I kinda…..hate her for making her boys ask Jesus the question like I’m so sorry guys I shouldn’t. I just want John's mom to freaking face Jesus and tell Him everything. Even the part of WHY she made him and Big James to ask the question.
Is it any different now? The secular world respects only rich, powerful & ambitious people so asking for positions of power was not an uncommon request. Whereas Jesus *literally* says you must be like little children to enter the kingdom of God , i e, humble , vulnerable, weak. I believe Salome finally understood this lesson when she watched the tragedy of the crucifixion unfold😢

Interestingly, while John understood what he did wrong and got over it, Judas could not. Maybe that was what made him frustrated.
