OK...LOVE This!!! I was raised in the Southern Baptist Church...went every Sunday and Wednesday to services. But I was intrigued by the Catholic Church (have to admit it was due to seeing the Jennifer Jones film when I was 14 yrs old; "The Song Of Bernadette") and it seemed like such a beautiful story. At the time I 1st saw that film I had no idea it was based on a true story until a yr later. For my 15th b'day I asked my grandmother for Rosary beads (and she gave me some for Christmas) and a Catholic neighbor taught me how to say the Rosary. During that time I still attended the Baptist Church...but I said the Rosary in my room at night. When I started to College I left the Baptist Church and started going to the Catholic Church. I always felt (in my spirit) that when we said the Rosary we were ASKING Mother Mary to PRAY FOR US to her beloved son (like an intercessor). My Baptist family felt it was wrong...that the Catholic Church PRAYED TO MARY. I said..."NO...we ask MOTHER MARY TO PRAY FOR US! When I watched the scene where Mary asks her son, Jesus, to help the family with the issue of the wine...and she says to him (close up view....) "Please". ..and I see the look on Jesus face. In my heart...I felt that this one scene defines how Catholics view the prayer of the Rosary. You are asking Mother Mary to intercede for you (just like the groom's family at the wedding). And Jesus will never deny his Mother anything. That is my opinion...and sticking with it. And THE CHOSEN hit the ball out of the park with that scene!!!!
Exactly! praying & meditating on the 4 rosary mysteries helps us to *walk* through the life of Jesus & Mary together. As St Maximilian Kolbe said, " Never be afraid of loving the Blessed Mother too much. You can never love her more than Jesus did."
@@CarolynBoudreaux-je3gf Yes, but one thing that struck me when I was taking lessons at Catholic Church...when the 12 apostles started their mission to make "disciples of all nations" their ONE BIG TAKE in their testimony of Christ is HIS RESURRECTION! That was the SELLING point. It was something that stuck with everyone who heard the message from these 1st Christians...is that when you become a believer...death is NOT eternal. You have a place beside Christ and His mother in Heaven. I was told in the early church when family members lost a loved one (from being executed for their belief) they were NOT dead, but with Christ in heaven. Think of Saint Stephen....1st martyr of the church. He had been witnessing to a mob when suddenly raised up and cried out; "Look, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!" in the book of ACTS, and he was stoned to death. So all Christians believed that these fellow Christians are not dead...but stand in heaven with Jesus...just like Mary.
❤❤❤❤❤❤I love the scene between Jesus and his Eema when she was washing his hair and he was venting about the things that worried him. It was the most down to earth scene that I've seen between the king of the world and his mother. Even Jesus needed his own mommy.

I have Just seen the most beautiful scenes I've ever seen which revealed the special Jesus' relatioship with his Mother. Scenes like theese made the Chosen a work of art. God bless Mr. Jenkins and all the characters!

When His resurrection, He appears to Mary M. next tp His Eema.
