@ yes! Unless the devs removed it at somepoint. You just need to have your etool in your hands as you look at say an hq tent and a prompt should appear to deconstruct it while etool is in your hands!
I'm an 11C (mortarman) in the US Army and love any usage of mortars in mil-sim games. Some notes about this DEV Report: The "smoke" round is actually Red Phosphorus. It's not as bad as WP, but I still wouldn't want to inhale it or be close to it. Including cheese charges and fuses is a great improvement over other games, curious if they will have HE fuses (impact, delayed, prox, etc). In real life, we use aiming poles and a Fire Direction Center (FDC) to use the poles as a reference to get mortars on target, but this is a decent way to simplify our aiming methods. It's akin to something we call "Direct Lay" where you aim the mortar directly at a target if you have a clear line of sight (which as a mortar is not what you generally want to do). I love the inclusion of a simplified charge book (the paper he is holding around 10:39), it's how we determine the time of flight (TOF), max ORD, range, etc. Finally, my brain is fried from years on the gun line, so including a TBI system is a great little touch.

Monti is gonna get leveled. Bohemia is definitely taking their time making this stuff and I really like it, especially if we get quality content like we have got and will get in 1.3 in future too. Things like loading each rocket from outside yourself might be a small thing but honestly its massive in terms of immersion and gameplay and I am all for it.

Only rucked with mortar on my back on fire missions, every other time the mortar was in its box and we had to carry that peace of shit kilometres because we had our ruck backpacks as well. Lithuania used to use 30mm so we had to somehow fit the 60mm mortar on the backpacks meant for the smaller mortars. Made operating with the mortar a pain in the ass.

@ we had a mortar team for each platoon in the company so whenever we worked with them everyone from those platoons who didn’t have an lmg or anti tank had to either carry parts of the mortar or the ammo
My one problem with the mortars is them requiring a construction truck to be placed outside of a base. it would awesome if multiple men can carry different parts, one to carry the tube, the other to carry the base, and the last to carry the ammo. That system could also work for something like the M2 or the DHSK, would be far more realistic and easier to have it set up this way.
This is only an early implementation, if enough people show their interest in a system like that, and suggest it in their discord, they’ll more than likely consider it
Personally, I don't mind the construction truck as I feel like it is underused. Having the mortars tied to it will encourage more logistic gameplay and more use of the truck to build field fortifications. Hopefully creating more static points to fight over instead of just bum rushing cap points with cars all the time
@@omgitzlayz2455 I play a DayZ, and Extract server but for conflict I just go vanilla. Currently most guns have the suppressor permanently fixed to the barrel so it's not quite as bad. Most people don't have those weapons but everyone is looking for them for sure
I only wish they would take a look at smoke as well. it looks great and the way it thickens is nice... but it doesnt dissipate it just... dissapears which led me to sometimes be stranded in the middle of the field with my pants down while crossing perfectly smoked area

I hadn’t played for about a week after really leaning into this game. Hopped on my favorite Fallujah server and: 1) the sound was new and amazing 2) the AI wasn’t dumb anymore, they were accurate and difficult 3) out of no where was a ROCKET ATTACK chock full o’ AIR RAID SIRENS This is exciting and I’ve already got a “Arma 4 PC” fund going lol.
6:38 is this hinting at minigun pods seen on Huey’s? Not a lot of people know about them but the pilot copilot could use the sight to aim these minigun pods that were attached to the bottom of the Huey
Mortars and more armour are needed for a milsim. Currently you are only worried about small arms fire and grenades so can be way more aggressive than you would in reality. Indirect fire is a massive cause of casualties and suppression in combat and good to see they are finally releasing them.

Great update and info. Wish they gave some of the SP some love. Grass rendering while giving a more immersive feel means nothing if the AI can see you through the grass but you can't see them.

Hopefully the house destruction will be more dynamic meaning that you can destroy sections of the building instead of the whole building being destroyed at once. I will be disappointed if thats not the case.
Im mainly excited for the ai improvements, but i cant lie destruction, heli rockets and mortars make it so much better I just hope we get ai piloting helicopters at some point, because I'd love creating absurd pve battles.

Hey sorry for the question, is an i5 9600k rtx 2060 16gb ram enough to run this game stable 60fps at 1080p you reckon? It should be around the reccomended specs on steam but i dont know how well optimosed this game is. Cheers
i know a lot of people playing it on worse systems than that and the I5 overclocks to like 5.0 ghz and xbox runs at 3.6ghz so yeah you'll be absoulutely fine
Thanks god, they have their own engine and can just tune up it for their specific problems. The rest of the games nowadays using shitty UE5 where UE devs just spit into face of various gamedevs and solves nothing beside their own fancy engine benchmarks for powerpoint presentations.

Yeah it will probably end up with a system like that same as Arma 3 you can carry parts of stationary weapons as backpack and deploy in places.
Yeah let them get the first versions and then improve on the way.
