Yeah can confirm this isn't true. Just got yelled at in my first game, but to be fair I did shoot my own teammate on accident. Still seems like it will be fun once I figure out what the hell to do.
5:20 this can’t be emphasized enough. I got bored one day and decided to play a match from the beginning. The match ended up going for about 7 hours. I hadn’t realized the sun had gone down until I got up from my desk. Conflict really keeps you emotionally invested in the bases you build up and the squads you form for the attack. Most matches boil down to a force of will of who’s willing to sweat it out for another hour before calling it quits.
Priority constructions are: 1 -Antenna 2-Light Vehicle Depot 3 - Fuel 4 - Heavy Vehicle Depot 5 - Armory I place the armory last because acquiring weapons and ammo quickly drains supplies from the main base, significantly slowing down the conquest-especially if you have 20 rookies equipping themselves with rifles, grenade launchers, machine guns, 36 magazines, C4, and more. Keep that in mind. In the early game, you won’t face the enemy team directly, so special weapons aren’t necessary. I hope this advice helps.

I have had to decommission armories to stop folks from wasting supplies we need for transports and spawning logis, I am actively trying to give my team supplies so they can play dress up, but we aren't gonna get anything done if everyone is spawning and dying with the most expensive load outs lol.
Fuel depots also mean vehicles spawn with 75% full tanks rather than 25%, huge benefit for a low cost when it’s an isolated base with no fuel depot near

Details I would point out, or add: -Server browser filters for the vanilla and modded servers. -Objectives (bases) you can capture are marked with a banner showing a cross. -Blue is for US forces, green for FIA (AI) forces and red for RU forces. -Yellow bases are not within radio range (red lines). -Base names in purple/pinkish color are main objectives ->depending on the map you need to hold a certain amount of main objectives for a certain amount of time in order to win the game. -Only bases with radio connection to the main operating base regenerate supplys. ->Build radio towers to establish a connection and facilitate spawning.

New ps5 player here, I've spent the last two evenings JUST trying to wrap my head around the tutorials and learn how to use everything... For any new ps5 players I'd strongly recommend turning off the motion sensor settings... screwed me up a hell of a lot to start with, that being said, my specialty in other games is helicopters, so am itching to get some flying hours in the Huey to get my fellow troops in and out of the LZ in one piece at lightning speed 😁

@@CrispyGaming92 100%, for console at least (I've never been a PC player unfortunately) I'm finding there are so many menus, sub menus and intricate controls to learn and string together to make you a functioning soldier, it really is a head scratcher for a good few hours. Any tips on finding stocked equipment bases (for ammo, grenades, backpacks etc?) on conflict when first joining a server? Yes sir give it time but I'll get you in & out before you know it 🫡
Awesome, yeah I don’t really have any tips for loadouts etc for the base game, I usually play on modded servers which unfortunately PlayStation doesn’t have that luxury for now. My advice is just see what you feel comfortable with it’ll make sense the more you play and you’ll find kits you like and don’t like. I might do some videos in the future for specific areas like navigating, medical system, loadouts etc if people would like to see it.

Can you talk without team speak? I tried playing arma 8 years ago and gave up after I couldn’t get team speak to work and the game was just too complicated. Hopefully his is some where in between squad and arma3.
@ yeah you can jump into discord voice channels to communicate as well. Personally I prefer the immersion by talking over radio as well as the reverb effect when in buildings
Agree mate, I haven’t played as much as yourself but once you learn it, it becomes much easier. I think it’s just making the commitment for a lot of people that’s intimidating when you first jump in!
I think, Bohemia Interactive is the most skilful studio out there next to the old original DICE team of BF2/BF3/BF4. They fully understand what they are doing, how they want to do it, and fully understand their own engine. They are capable of pushing limits. And yet, we as a player get a very nice and polished game. Of course there will be bugs, but as an '80 gamer and having experienced BSG's Tarkov bug fest for the last 3 years, seeing something like this is very nice. I played Operation Flashpoint, ARMA 2, ARMA 3 but skipped on Reforger as I wanted to wait for ARMA 4. But seeing all these recents videos about it, I may buy it.
Another OG OFP + Resistance player? Interested in joining up in the old VoD clan from in the back, tryna recruit players of that era mostly as weve got 20+ years experience and whole lotta mod + mission / game-master ideas to bring back and potentially record for TH-cam etc. DM me :)
@@BiscuitXLit seems pretty stable right now. I’m only playing official servers but everything is as good as can be expected from a console. I’m on the PS5 Pro and on performance mode it stays in the high 50s-60fps.
Anyone else think the first priority should be to build a heavy vehicle depot instead of an armory? A second logi truck to run supplies at the start is more useful than custom loadouts IMO

If you have a smart logi, you can survive the first couple base caps with one truck. Still, armory is the last thing I build at a base, even after a living quarters so you get the 50% off spawns first. Regardless, the biggest issue comes with 3/4 of the team going to one objective while the stragglers kind of spread out from there. Even though teamwork is essential, squad assignments are useless. I’ve been playing since 2022 with 600+ hours and can only count on one hand the amount of times where I played with guys from my selected squad. There should be incentives like bonuses for sticking with your guys instead of some random people.
Once you get the basics down you should check out the Rogue Extract server. It’s kinda like Dayz with looting. There’s different levels of AI around towns and bases plus other players to watch out for. The goal is to loot up then exfil, like escape from Tarkov. Super fun and tense.

Dear ps5 players- a 4-6 hour conflict is ok and can be really fun!!! just go with the flowe and listen to teammates needs and add your own flavor to the tasks, getting them done to cap points hold points, supply points and WIN!
I'm just glad I finally figured out how to use voice chat. I wish they'd make the current version a hardcore version. Then make a less complicated game mode with atleast a marker or a way point to by pass land nav.
Once mod support comes to PS you’ll be able to play in modded servers and some of them have map markers to make it easier for players that want a more simplified version, the devs have confirmed mods are on the way! So hang in there mate
I've always wanted to play an Arma game and this looks super fun but complicated as hell. I'm trying to decide on this or Hell Let Loose. I also own Insurgency Sandstorm, a game that I love as well.
It’s definitely a lot more complicated and a much steeper learning curve than HLL for example but if you’re willing to put in the time to learn it, it’s definitely worth it. Having said that, HLL is still a good game, very different so they’re not really comparable in my opinion. If you want faster paced then Hell Let Loose will be the go to.

9:56 I tend to use GM just to train. I typically familiarize myself with Hueys and Humvees, and due to the fact I don’t have any friends who play this, I have grown very good in PvE
6:45 Old player here since arma reforger game preview. Please dont build a arsenal at main operation base.(mob) for short. The priority should be relay and small vehicle depot. You can build a arsenal at one of the purple points. For example military base levie. Otherwise you will force everyone to walk . The arsenal uses a ton of supplies due to players having packrat loadouts. EDIT: one more thing i want to add dont build the base by placing stuff randomly or place multiple of the same thing such as two small vehicle depots or two relays.
Yep so many people building arsenals and vehuicke depots and no radio antennas. I see alot of main points where people juddt build helipads eithout bothering to put an antenna down.
two relays isn’t a bad idea if the base has a lot of supplies, it gives an extra spawn point so you aren’t getting spawn killed it enemies are camping the main tent/other relay

Show up with a headset. If you’re not communicating, you’re not coordinating. It’s a team game. Also, too many new players spawn in, load up like a pack rat, and then focus on kill count. Veteran players should help out new players.
Has the crashing stopped? In its early stages my God!!! It crashed more than a ZX Spectrum. When it does work, it is fantastic, I had over an hour long battle one time, proper flanking, proper sniping with spotter, it was one of the most immersive games I'd ever experienced
For the love of God do NOT leave base on foot😂 I made this mistake a handful of times and got so lost I just killled myself to respawn. The hardest thing in this game to me is navigating!
Played off and on for since 2023. In my experience the mods are iffy and have decently long download times per modded server. (I’m Etherneted in with good WiFi ). But all in all it’s a good game. Insterested to see how it progresses
Nobody is saying it but here it goes... the reason arma reforger is so popular is because its what we wanted all along. A big ass PVPVE Antistasi experience but a bit more simplified and accessible

Can you choose what weapons you use? Like if you want to run an LMG or sniper, do you get to pick those? Or are you stuck with whatever the game gives you?
I have awful screen tear on PS5 Pro on both Quality and Performance? Also the performance in both modes is pretty bad, considering it doesn’t meet 60fps on its lowest mode, do you see the same?
@@RykerFive5 hey mate I’ve heard the graphics are pretty shocking on console to be fair. Hopefully the devs fix this, I’m on pc so haven’t really noticed it. Try adjusting rendering distances etc?
I am playing on normal PS5, no screen tearing. However graphics is PS3 or early PS4 era. Quality mode is locked for max 30fps and performance is locked for max 60fps. FPS games - 60 fps is a must so you have to go to performance mode which lower graphics vs quality mode. Sadly.
What if some jerk from your team kills you and pulls you out of the supply truck full of supplies and unloads it themselves. Do i get my Experience points or does that team killing person get the points? If the latter, it needs to be changed asap.
I believe you still get points for delivering the supplies, but not 100% sure. As for the dickhead that killed you, they would get more negative points for killing you and likely get demoted than they would receive positive points for unloading your supplies

@ that might be your issue. See if you can play on a monitor and if that makes a difference. I’ve been seeing this a lot and it seems to be players on TV’s despite the resolution that have this issue
You can leave for a short time and rejoin, if you leave for several hours though you’ll likely lose progress. Sorry I should have explained this a little clearer!

The interface when going through inventory and the arsenal is the biggest pain control wise because I always accidentally backing out of menus that I was in the process of using simply because it wasn’t functioning properly. But I’m slowly getting used to it.
i have never played arma before i’m on ps5 so i just downloaded it 4 days ago and already have 25 hours 😅. but i feel like im already more experienced than all the other playstation players just because of my time playing day z they are very similar being they are form the same company
I don’t believe so. As frustrating as it may be at first, persevere with it mate, I guarantee you after investing a few hours into the game you’ll start holding your own. Even a LOT of pc players don’t move well or communicate in squads well, sure there are experienced squads out there who have hours of game time, but there’s a lot who just run and gun and hope for the best!
Navigation takes a lot of practice mate, I will try to put together a tutorial for my next vid of you like? The use of landmarks help looking for identifiable locations etc. when mods come to PS some servers implement an icon on the map to atleast show you where you are

I’ve never played DayZ but you’ll probably adapt quicker than someone who hasn’t played something similar, it is a complicated game but if you’re willing to learn it’s worth it
Yeah that’s right unfortunately. There is a scenario ops section which you play as rebels in you can do this co-op with mates as well but that’s the closest they have to a campaign. Arma 3 campaign was so good!
Why i am lagging on my xbox series X? It says am running 60fps but its shuttering like 10fps + foliage is like paper no texture whatsoever... graphics settings on xbox series x just change fps from 30 for resolution and 60fps for performance... but wheres 120hz support for smooth gameplay
Sometimes it depends on the server, it’s a huge game and if there’s lot going on it can affect performance. Even on high end PC’s it’s not uncommon to be sitting around 60fps and be getting frame drops
Nice mate! Yeah the AI are hard! Sometimes they’re dumb but they’ll flank you if you stay still for too long. The game runs smooth for me on pc I can’t speak from a console perspective. There are times it doesn’t but tends to be server performance more than the game.

Awesome mate! Yeah it’s similar in some respects but it’s different class to HLL in my opinion. It takes a while to get your head around and it can be unforgiving and frustrating at times but once you understand the basics it’s amazing

Is there weapon/gear progression? can I unlock or collect new attachments or weapons to use in future games? Arma reforger just dropped for ps5 and I know nothing about it other than that it’s a tactical shooter. Is it like hell let loose where there’s no weapon progression?
Truck menus and supplies have always been jank. Expect a lag to any action and refresh menus by moving away and re-opening them. Easiest way to load supplies is to put yourself between the supply and truck and use inventory to drag if you're lucky you can do this from within the cab
@@swankfox9112 can you explain that a little more? I was trying to run supplies, parked the huge truck at the supplies area but the option to load it into the truck was greyed out. Think it was showing it had 0 supplies but on the map it said there was 6000. Can you only load supplies from specific bases?

As a daily player since 2022, 1,000 + hours, it's actually very simple once you figure it out in the first few days

Regardless, the biggest issue comes with 3/4 of the team going to one objective while the stragglers kind of spread out from there. Even though teamwork is essential, squad assignments are useless. I’ve been playing since 2022 with 600+ hours and can only count on one hand the amount of times where I played with guys from my selected squad. There should be incentives like bonuses for sticking with your guys instead of some random people.

Once you get the basics down you should check out the Rogue Extract server. It’s kinda like Dayz with looting. There’s different levels of AI around towns and bases plus other players to watch out for. The goal is to loot up then exfil, like escape from Tarkov. Super fun and tense.

Conflict battles do not last “days” leaving for any amount of time usually will always amount to joining to a reset server

Dear ps5 players- a 4-6 hour conflict is ok and can be really fun!!! just go with the flowe and listen to teammates needs and add your own flavor to the tasks, getting them done to cap points hold points, supply points and WIN!

I'm just glad I finally figured out how to use voice chat. I wish they'd make the current version a hardcore version. Then make a less complicated game mode with atleast a marker or a way point to by pass land nav.
Once mod support comes to PS you’ll be able to play in modded servers and some of them have map markers to make it easier for players that want a more simplified version, the devs have confirmed mods are on the way! So hang in there mate

I've always wanted to play an Arma game and this looks super fun but complicated as hell. I'm trying to decide on this or Hell Let Loose. I also own Insurgency Sandstorm, a game that I love as well.
It’s definitely a lot more complicated and a much steeper learning curve than HLL for example but if you’re willing to put in the time to learn it, it’s definitely worth it. Having said that, HLL is still a good game, very different so they’re not really comparable in my opinion. If you want faster paced then Hell Let Loose will be the go to.

9:56 I tend to use GM just to train. I typically familiarize myself with Hueys and Humvees, and due to the fact I don’t have any friends who play this, I have grown very good in PvE

Idk why I like spawning enemies to attack the airfield base I made. The special forces squad ai is cracked.

6:45 Old player here since arma reforger game preview. Please dont build a arsenal at main operation base.(mob) for short. The priority should be relay and small vehicle depot. You can build a arsenal at one of the purple points. For example military base levie. Otherwise you will force everyone to walk . The arsenal uses a ton of supplies due to players having packrat loadouts.
EDIT: one more thing i want to add dont build the base by placing stuff randomly or place multiple of the same thing such as two small vehicle depots or two relays.

Yep so many people building arsenals and vehuicke depots and no radio antennas. I see alot of main points where people juddt build helipads eithout bothering to put an antenna down.
two relays isn’t a bad idea if the base has a lot of supplies, it gives an extra spawn point so you aren’t getting spawn killed it enemies are camping the main tent/other relay
Wrong never build an arsenal first because people waste the supplies instead of building the essentials

The random antics you will get into. I need to play again.
Show up with a headset. If you’re not communicating, you’re not coordinating. It’s a team game. Also, too many new players spawn in, load up like a pack rat, and then focus on kill count. Veteran players should help out new players.
Its hard to help when people act like they know what theyre doing, trrying to command people while they are clueless themselves

Has the crashing stopped? In its early stages my God!!! It crashed more than a ZX Spectrum.
When it does work, it is fantastic, I had over an hour long battle one time, proper flanking, proper sniping with spotter, it was one of the most immersive games I'd ever experienced
For the love of God do NOT leave base on foot😂 I made this mistake a handful of times and got so lost I just killled myself to respawn. The hardest thing in this game to me is navigating!

Played off and on for since 2023. In my experience the mods are iffy and have decently long download times per modded server. (I’m Etherneted in with good WiFi ). But all in all it’s a good game. Insterested to see how it progresses
Nobody is saying it but here it goes... the reason arma reforger is so popular is because its what we wanted all along. A big ass PVPVE Antistasi experience but a bit more simplified and accessible

Yep you absolutely can mate, you can create scenarios then take control of AI or even spawn in yourself to take part!
Can you choose what weapons you use? Like if you want to run an LMG or sniper, do you get to pick those? Or are you stuck with whatever the game gives you?
Nope you can fully customise your loadout, you can run with a sniper and LMG if you like, and some c4 if you’re feeling extra spicy
Need to be able to remove the carry handle sight it gets on my nerves it give to much blind spot around you target
I have awful screen tear on PS5 Pro on both Quality and Performance? Also the performance in both modes is pretty bad, considering it doesn’t meet 60fps on its lowest mode, do you see the same?

I am playing on normal PS5, no screen tearing. However graphics is PS3 or early PS4 era. Quality mode is locked for max 30fps and performance is locked for max 60fps.
FPS games - 60 fps is a must so you have to go to performance mode which lower graphics vs quality mode. Sadly.
Brother, you have to go into setting and change the gameplay from fidelity to performance. I’m getting 60 fps consistently.

What if some jerk from your team kills you and pulls you out of the supply truck full of supplies and unloads it themselves. Do i get my Experience points or does that team killing person get the points?
If the latter, it needs to be changed asap.
I believe you still get points for delivering the supplies, but not 100% sure.
As for the dickhead that killed you, they would get more negative points for killing you and likely get demoted than they would receive positive points for unloading your supplies

Only issue with this game is the huge health pool people have and the hit registration. Also everyone team killing each other.

You can leave for a short time and rejoin, if you leave for several hours though you’ll likely lose progress. Sorry I should have explained this a little clearer!

The interface when going through inventory and the arsenal is the biggest pain control wise because I always accidentally backing out of menus that I was in the process of using simply because it wasn’t functioning properly. But I’m slowly getting used to it.

I don’t believe so. As frustrating as it may be at first, persevere with it mate, I guarantee you after investing a few hours into the game you’ll start holding your own. Even a LOT of pc players don’t move well or communicate in squads well, sure there are experienced squads out there who have hours of game time, but there’s a lot who just run and gun and hope for the best!

Navigation takes a lot of practice mate, I will try to put together a tutorial for my next vid of you like? The use of landmarks help looking for identifiable locations etc. when mods come to PS some servers implement an icon on the map to atleast show you where you are

I’ve never played DayZ but you’ll probably adapt quicker than someone who hasn’t played something similar, it is a complicated game but if you’re willing to learn it’s worth it
You'll recognize a lot of similarities and the mindset you learn to survive DayZ will be handy here as well.
It’s slightly more complicated controls aren’t as fluid as dayz also in terms of swapping gear

Yeah that’s right unfortunately. There is a scenario ops section which you play as rebels in you can do this co-op with mates as well but that’s the closest they have to a campaign.

Why i am lagging on my xbox series X? It says am running 60fps but its shuttering like 10fps + foliage is like paper no texture whatsoever... graphics settings on xbox series x just change fps from 30 for resolution and 60fps for performance... but wheres 120hz support for smooth gameplay
Sometimes it depends on the server, it’s a huge game and if there’s lot going on it can affect performance. Even on high end PC’s it’s not uncommon to be sitting around 60fps and be getting frame drops

Nice mate! Yeah the AI are hard! Sometimes they’re dumb but they’ll flank you if you stay still for too long.
The game runs smooth for me on pc I can’t speak from a console perspective.
There are times it doesn’t but tends to be server performance more than the game.

Awesome mate! Yeah it’s similar in some respects but it’s different class to HLL in my opinion. It takes a while to get your head around and it can be unforgiving and frustrating at times but once you understand the basics it’s amazing

😂 it happens to the best of us! Make sure you’re within close proximity of a supply point, head to the back of the truck and select load supplies.
Truck menus and supplies have always been jank. Expect a lag to any action and refresh menus by moving away and re-opening them.
Easiest way to load supplies is to put yourself between the supply and truck and use inventory to drag if you're lucky you can do this from within the cab
@@swankfox9112 can you explain that a little more? I was trying to run supplies, parked the huge truck at the supplies area but the option to load it into the truck was greyed out. Think it was showing it had 0 supplies but on the map it said there was 6000. Can you only load supplies from specific bases?
