    I may not ever have this plane. But, i watch all of these for the great detail in setups, that i can use on a plane i DO have. These videos are chocked full of amazing ideas!!! 👍

      Thanks Al - Glad you did, and glad you're finding value from these tid-bits. The F7F is excellent, but it's heavy, and NEEDS good gear...which is why it's so nice that the gear are AMAZING!!! ;)

    Another excellent real life, been there done that walk thru. I've watched you for years. It's safe to say you are the goto for modern rc. Hands down best team on the net. But I have to say theirs something special about this video! What's different? Really nothing. Oh i get it! Love & marriage. It's the banter. A Legit handsome (if thats your thing, lol) talented, smart nerd man, working his a$$ off to be a good provider while living the american dream paired with a smoking HOT camera crew that is absolutely brilliant at showcasing her dedication, thru her filming, and acceptance of "foam friggin everywhere" in all seriousness thank you guys for all you do

    The panel line and ridge detail on that thing is really done well.

      It is even better in person. Rare that a foam plane gets so dang detailed, and this one is one of our best looking planes! It's like Draco detailed, in my opinion!

    Ha!!! I just asked about this plane last week. Thought it was an older demo and wondered why I couldn't find it on the website. Turns out I was a week early. Awesome. Thanks, Team Phillips!

    Love the battery anti slip mod. Never thought to do it that way. Now is my new thing. Also that power supply to the receiver I've never thought of. And could have saved three from esc failures. Yes you are educational. This is also my second build video that the M4 was the first. Got hooked from that one. I'm seeing a whole new side of your channel. Whi h has always been there I know. I've been enjoying the builds same as the maidens. Loving it.

    That BEC discussion threw you for a loop! You did the right thing by checking the voltage, I'm curious what It looks like under the heat shrink, I suspect that red wire is just laying in there not connected to anything. Reminds me of the old 4.8v NiCd RX packs back in the glow days. Some manufacturers used the same 3 conductor servo wires for their batteries, the "signal" wire wasn't connected to anything, and other batteries just had the red and black and only 2 pins in the connector. The FMS Tigercat used to be available in silver, when they re-released it they only offered it in blue. The La Patrona graphics are for the silver version, it was popular at the Reno Air Races years ago.

      Thank you for your vote of confidence. Our dam adventures are going on RIGHT NOW!!! Just got some preliminary drawings back from the engineer tonight, and we're going to probably start breaking ground in a week or so, if permitting comes back successful. It's gonna be deep huge and wet - LOL ;)

    For water tranfer decal you should use microset and microsol. It soften and draws the decal and improve addesion over highly irregular surface detail like rivets and panel lines , it also protect them

    that green "paint" is zinc chromate. its used on aluminum because it forms a chemical bond. you see it a lot on inside areas of aluminum airframes.

  • @johnberrios4255

    Love this plane. I bought 2 of them. Yes its a little pricey but the detail and quality is just amazing. I fly off a grass field and its not as rough as yours but handles it with no problem. On youre decals go to Callie graphics. The wet decals are the worst i have ever tried to apply. On youre receiver i ripped out the reflex and just put a 8360T. The green is a anti corrosion that was applied back in the day. This plane is NOT new and its been around for a while but its almost always out of stock cause its so popular. I also just put a 6s 7000mah battery. Take off and land without flaps. Just bring her in on a nice flat approach and about 2 to 3 feet off the ground just cut motors and she will just glide right in and just touch so beautifully. Overall its a beautiful plane and always gets ALOT of attention at the field. BTW on the F4U Cosair just put a Hobbywing 120amp esc and set it to high and just wow its a whole new plane (8S).

    I just got into rc flying at age 82 and have been watching your videos. One comment while watching the set up on the F7F. What would be helpful would be for the camera to be closer to the
    tx when you do the set up.

    I have bought a used Tigercat got it all programed. My one problem is the left motor has the break on. I have read the directions and followed them. I can not get break turned off. Please help. I was able to program differential thrust even. With SAFE. you do the best video instructions ever.

    Excellent video, thanks. Add in a quick test of the Reflex 2. I know they are pretty solid, as are the Spektrum Rx when all set up... but I always check which way stabilization is moving. Cheers.

      If we didn't, my apologies, we usually do that...I think our camera was dying - maybe that was what was going on.

    Micro Sol and Micro Set for water slides. Decals that large will be problematic regardless. But those solutions will help conform to the rivets and panel lines, and promote adhesion.

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good idea, I just looked up how to do this, and seems it would have helped! Thanks for the tip!

    • @Cloverdale82
      @Cloverdale82 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can soften already applied decals this these solutions and attempt to smooth them out. Several TH-cams on the subject. Plastic model guys are geniuses with it.

    Do you have a plan in case of a battery fire ? ... i like all the work and efforts you make to show all beautiful model ... for my part i buy a arrows edge 540 because of tou . 😂. But take care ... and i suggest a more secure place for recharge your battery... 😉... scuse for my poor english... im a french canadian.

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, and sure, we have a few (3X) fire extinguishers hidden from all three directions toward the batteries, but to be honest, the best plan is to charge and discharge them carefully, but if there were ever a questionable pack, we would take them out back and deal with them...which we have done many times.

    Why can't you just go thru the basic setup as set forth from the factory. All this rambling is unnecessary. What I am watching is an advance video. This video should be talored to basic setup if you are addressing an individual thats going to twin for there first time

    you really need to slow down when you do the radio set up on all your air craft instead of rushing thru it.

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      There's a way to slow down the playback. Click on the GEAR ICON, then you can choose a slower playback speed to suit your needs. I understand we can sometimes go pretty quick, but if you want it slower, you gotta keep in mind, there's people who want it faster...we can only do one speed and try to strike a balance between too fast, and too slow.
