Yep, that night will be hard to beat. Four giants (can you imagine what the fish that broke your line looked like?) and steak for dinner.
Yes I agree, hard to beat! 5 Giants counting the Kayak Flathead! Yeah I think the one that broke me off was another giant Flathead. It's a shame too, I had my drag loose but the fish hammered it just a few feet offshore. Too much shockload for the line to handle I reckon. After this trip I upgraded to 80lb leader and haven't had that problem since. I appreciate you watching Brad!

When you catch a big cat you'd better retie. I know you want to get right back at it , bait up and back in the spot,,, but you always run the risk of a break offif you don't.

A dream trip! you two caught some sweet hogs. awesome to see that they survived being noodled and all of that. I totally love the Flatheads, just an awesome fish, have mouth, will swallow! If I am going to eat a catfish, it's gonna be a flattie
