Glad to see you starting to figure out our boys. You were right on the money when you mentioned all the different ways their music can be interpreted. It resonates differently depending on the listener. Also some really upbeat songs have deeper, darker messages and this is especially so with their Korean songs. Some people just listen and enjoy, which is absolutely fine, but when you take the time to pay attention to the lyrics , well they are just next level. And I think the lyricism is what helps to chip away at us "non rap lovers", opening us up to an appreciation of genres that we would usually avoid. They have definitely turned me around and I can see you teetering on the edge of the rabbit hole, maybe with just a toe or two, but it's very interesting watching your journey. Glad you are giving it a chance! 💜
Fun fact: when Tiny Desk Korea was created this year they started using “a not so tiny concert” in their promotions of the Korean show version hahahaha
RM is the blueprint
When you do Spring Day explained you should watch the “Italian Army Explains…” one because it includes a LOT more of the actual Spring
Day mv references that were put into the video. Thank you for your reactions! I’ve been watching since the beginning of your BTS journey.😊❤
I appreciate you watching!!
Really enjoying watching you discover what BTS has to offer. I feel down the rabbit hole about 9 months ago, and it is definitely their story as much as the music that got me hooked. I’ll admit, when I found your channel a few weeks ago, I wasn’t sure you’d continue (or that I wanted you to continue) past those initial pop songs that you were so critical of. But your honesty and critique is refreshing - not everyone is going to like everything! As long as you’re critiquing in a respectful way, I’ll enjoy it.
Really looking forward to the Spring Day reaction. I love that you’re conscious of finding the right way for you to approach it. It’s a very important song to ARMY 💜
I always jump in feet first rather harshly lol, and then I soften up the more I start to notice things I like 😂
the lyrics for spring day don't directly correlate to the sewol ferry tragedy that happened it's mostly the music video that has the direct references but the song itself is really sentimental and deep as well
That’s fair, I just felt like, because it’s a big sentimental fan favourite, I kinda wanna give it its own video where I do it justice. If I do it badly I’m sure the comments would let me know, I’m tryna avoid that 😂
@@markabusireactions oh it's definitely a fan favorite and we call it the queen, I was just giving you a heads up about the lyrics so you could understand them better, they are still very deep and emotional on their own, and believe me ARMY would still want you to do the full dive into the meaning behind the music video
@@markabusireactions😂😂😂😂 te entiendo markabusi y tienes razon 😅
I never liked rap until BTS, and I love all the rapline albums. Check out Agust D Snooze and Polar night.
Up 💜
snooze was so god, I love that song💜
Me too. I grew up when Sugar Hill Gang and Run DMC were popular but I never got into it. And now in my late-50’s I can appreciate the artistry of hip hop music, at least the ones by BTS.
I'm really liking your journey into BTS, I don't agree with some fans who demand everyone follows a certain route and listen to this or that, everyone is different and we all have different tastes. Take your time and enjoy BTS, one thing they don't lack is diversity and they are so talented that I'm sure you'll hear and recognize this (you already have, I think) and find some really good songs that can appeal to your taste. I would recommend more of the vocal line songs like House of Cards and The Truth Untold, true masterpieces in my opinion
I wanna check those out, but I’m also wanting to dive into them as just a bunch of lads, so it’s taking a little time to cover everything lol
Id be really interested to have you listen to save me, followed by their song "im fine". Both the lyrics and the music are sort of parallel opposites. I dont remember what the musical term is for what they did but its super cool and unique. I wish i could explain this better ... maybe other ARMYs who are more knowledgeable about the technical side of music can help me out here lol. But i would like to hear your thoughts on these 2 songs 😅. Also thx for being uber respectful about spring day, thats nice to see! 💜
BTS Jin confirmed that Spring Day is about sewol ferry tragedy in weverse interview. Spring day music video is a tribute, while the lyrics and musically the song was written abt missing friends or loved ones.
Looking forward to your response to Spring Day.
Also I have a feeling you would love their ballads: The Truth Untold (live), House of Cards; and Blue and Grey (in their pandemic album). Best to watch the Live versions (with subtitles provided by Enjoy BTS More YT channel).
Someone should sign these guys! They'd be a Big Hit~
I'll see myself out.
Great reaction, the more I see the more I love BTS~
They're big hits is the name of their agencies since 2013Which is part of hybe now. Company that BTS help build
‘Why the fuck does he like that one’ was my exact question 😂 let’s crack out the English trilogy for you, you might love them! 😄
If you have time the shooting sketch for Save Me is really cool - it's a one shot and that cameraman is a bad@ss ninja! 💜
When RM talked about writing Spring Day he said loss and grief. They've never made a statement about the video but there are just too many things that point to Sewol so everyone agrees that's what the video is about. I think doing the explanation first is a great idea. I hope you're doing Italian army's, it's the best for the length but if you get curious and have time, Rotten Mango is excellent.
For Italian don't turn your subs on, she integrates them and they're hard to keep up with! 💜
Jin ❤
BTS ❤️
I enjoyed this reaction, thanks!
And yes V has a wonderful voice, my fav from the group.
He has that something something that cannot be taught, just born with
Looking at that array of cheekbones, I want to return mine and get my money back.
These dudes are gorgeous, and that's even before we get to the singing (which is top-notch, by the way...)
Isn’t it? It’s just how clean they sound, considering how little mixing there is from the desk
I have to admit that I was a little hesitant to press play because in previous videos I didn’t feel like you understood BTS. But now I know that it was just going to take a little longer and hearing the right music to really start to appreciate them. I might encourage you to find a video of RM’s speech at the UN general assembly. That will give a little more perspective on who RM is because even if that was quite awhile ago, the message is still the same. Even if you don’t become Army, having some sort of appreciation of BTS and their influence is a good thing.
Im glad that you care about respecting their music, but i hope you dont feel pressured to watch a bunch of stuff. Watch what you want to watch and just enjoy. Bts is an amazing group, and they definitely are more than worth it getting into. It might sound dramatic, but they have saved lives for real :)
I’m pretty embedded in BANGTAN , and there are songs that aren’t my fav. I appreciate your honesty, and you willingness to try again (I saw your first BTS reactions 🫣) and see the backstory and the person behind every member. Save Me/I’m Fine are two of my faves; I have them tattooed as an ambigram just below Whalien 52(my profile pic) 💜
Jimin's unique and heavenly voice ✨️🌙😊
In the waistcoat is V (Taehyung); he has some cracking jazz solo music that you also might like ☺️ he was also the person that opened the song in Blue and Grey!
The thing about when dynamite came out the boys were considering going to the military service back then but the covid happened and it was everything was put on hold then they got the song dynamite During covid And became a instant hit it was just a good field song to bring happiness to army and people around the world the lyrics don't really mix sense and other typical BTS lyrics But it was a fun song
Butter. Hey there a new 18 minute guide by bori city you might like
J-hopeeeeeeeee ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great reaction! I personally love the rapping, and mostly only like rap in KPOP. I think because the lyrics of their Rap lines are so much deeper than what we see in Rap here. There are a few Rappers that put deeper meaning behind their words here, but mostly its insults and garbage.
RM is so impressive. Hes such a leader for this band and does it with total class.
Hi Mark...this is a lovely tiny desk. Your reaction is quite nice to watch as always. As you are reacting to a tiny desk I suggest you to try the npr tiny desk os Catriel and paco amoroso...is a banger.
Dynamite was the 1st American all American song and it was up for their 1st Grammy awards They have 5 nominations for Grammys
Yeah I know the feelings I was in state of brothers are grocery store here in California and they were playing dynamite and I was singing along boppin around with my cart All the 3 English songs my favorite Buttercup and then permission to dance
You are absolutely right, if you want to see the meaning of the song expressed (Spring Day), you should watch the official video of the song. Greetings.
В моей стране нет доступа к Патриону, увы, поэтому смотрю только то, что есть на Ютюбе. Спасибо за реакцию!
Re Spring Day: This is just a suggestion. More explanation at the end.
I think you should watch the Spring Day Explained by the channel Bulletproof Vibes. Then watch the official video for Spring Day. Then watch the Spring Day explained video for Italian Army.
Why? The first explained video is pretty good. But it's more like an overview and explains the meanings behind scenes in the official MV. The video by Italian Army has a lot of detail and includes live news clips and political consequences of the disaster. Also, it's very emotional and gut-wrenching and will bring you a deeper understanding of what this means for the Korean people. The song itself is about missing loved ones.
Único JIMIN 💛🔥
Jungkook❤❤❤❤👑💜💜💜💜💜🐇🐇💜💜💜
Jimin voice 😍
Check out the "Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso Tiny Desk", you won't regret it (They are from Argentina)
Someone has done you a disservice to think you have to give Spring Day special consideration. It is a song written by the rappers about missing or losing their old friends. That is what the song is about, it has a very sad feel about it. After it was released it was adopted by the Korean public as a song to remember the drowned school kids from the Sewol Ferry disaster, the MV made to go with the song refers to that, but the song itself has nothing to do with the disaster just that it has a very sad feel.
I don't think any of us can say definitively what the song is - not - about.
We know what some members have said publicly about what the song means to them.
We know that Suga wrote his own rap verses, while RM wrote his rap verses as well as most of the rest of the lyrics.
We know that RM & Suga is capable of writing sustained metaphors & double entendres. RM, in particular out of the three rappers, tends to write multi-layered lyrics.
We know the context of South Korea; politics, sociocultural expectations for public figures, traditional customs around authority & hierarchy, etc., including the timeline of the Sewol disaster + subsequent events.
We know that there was a secret presidential black list which included several of the country's most prominent artists.
Again, none of us outside of the group can say for certain, but it's not unreasonable to believe that RM's lyrics for Spring Day carry multiple meanings.
Uhm they confirmed the mv is about sewol ferry tragedy. Jin confirmed it in a weverse interview. Though the song was written lyrically abt missing friends the music video is a tribute to the ferry incident
Yes, people always are misinformed about the meaning of the song. They wrote it about their own personal experiences with grief, and i find it so inconsiderate for people to not acknowledge that. Its about their pain, not about the sewol tragedy. Yes, it has comforted the families of the victims and their country as a whole, but it was not created for that reason.
please please please do sabrina's tiny desk ! :]
What happened to the 3rd and final song?

What supermarket do you work in I've never heard music in any Supermarket in the UK because they refuse to buy the license to put out music to the public so the artist can get payed when they air the artist track.
I’ve been in one 17 years, I was there before this whole licence debacle.
When you watch a live performance of Save Me find one where it transitions into I’m Fine. Both the graphics for the titles and the music are reversed. I’m Fine is a very touching song and choreo. I’m pleased that you’re going to go into the Sewol Ferry Disaster because it was such a devastating event for Korea but as someone has already pointed out it’s not what the song is about but the mv definitely revers to it in the symbolism used. I’m going to have a grumble now. Just like eating during a reaction, vaping is also bad manners. It gives a poor impression so please leave it until you’re off camera.
