It's not the same finished product as the pro's would receive. Pro's have their own custom mold and the general public will have what ever mold CCM has on hand that best resembles your scanned foot dimensions. I thought I was getting a pro fitment when I had my foot scanned for the FT1's. CCM management told me what I have described above.

I had a luck to catch a new pair on ebay (Brad Richard's equipment, CCM U+ pro) and have been using them for five years.
FIVE FRIGGING YEARS. Not seasons. Four to five days a week average, 2-3 hours skating time every practice.
The sharpening guys at the shop just couldn't believe skates may handle that.
They really do use different materials for pro stock skates, no doubt.

@@BeezusCripes Since the boot is all glued up it would be difficult, if not impossible, to open the skate without at least partially destroying it.

I’ve got a pair of total-custom CCM Jetspeed FT2s. It’s awesome to see how they’re actually made! Gives me a whole new appreciation for my skates.

I found a brand new pair of CCM “Bobby Hull” vintage skates in a local antique store recently. You can tell they’ve never been worn. Just like they came out of the box. I paid $35 for them, Lol.

do you happen to know what muscles SHOULD feel sore after skating w/proper technique? I’m always afraid of not activating the right muscles and right now I’ve noticed my adductors are real rough. I’ve been told by PT I may be quad dominant instead of glute in my stride..
I think that’s pretty common especially at the start of a new season. I suspect it’s because your muscles aren’t used to lifting the additional weight of the skates, shin guards etc. Should go away as you rip the muscles and recover and get stronger.

Lucky. NY wont let rinks open until Phase 4, which is supposed to start July 1st. I cannot wait until I can get back onto the ice and back into the scorebox

Just switching subjects here quick CCM has got to design Connor McDavid a shin pad with carbon fiber technology for his notorious sprint drives to the net....something like 2 carbon fiber one piece squares 1 inch apart, and 1 each inch apart at the round angle of shin wrap(4 total)....these would be great to buy as customer, I'm wearing the CCM as1 shin pad

For the 2012-2013 season, Crosby skates were Reebok, hollow = 7/16 and profile = 30/60.
You can check reddit, there is plenty of charts with all skate details for NHL players.

how long do you bake them? it says 2 minutes max at 220F but the guy at the shop says he does it longer, will that ruin the skates? I have ccm ribcor 78k.

CCM does fit my feet better than Bauer and they aren’t custom made either!
Same. I think it is the stock ankle width of non-customs. Bauers are narrower than the CCMs and that makes all the difference for my feet
