  • Complexity experts Beth Smith and Dave Snowden talk with Aava and Bonne about how we can take the massive complex challenges that confront us all and see them through the everyday stories of people at the local level. Why is this important? Who's stories are currently getting told? Whose aren't? Who is interpreting the 'data'? Where is there coherence in the stories and what can we learn from them? With this kind of approach to 'sensemaking', perhaps we might be able to see a richer picture of reality and not resort to either/or choices!

The ultimate problem with sensemaker is that it must work within the liberal worldview, which conditions its interpretation of "acceptable" outliers. It is open to unknowns, provided that they work within liberalism.

Beth and David are way ahead of the pack of social scientists and consultants.
The interviewers could reduce the number of times they say "like" XD
