FTR 1200 Drive Chain Lubrication and Adjustment - Indian Motorcycle

Is there any recommendation how often you should preform this? Every ride, every tank, every 300 miles? I haven't found a good metric.

I think they recommend adjusting at the first break in oil change at 500 miles. I did mine at 1000. Needed it for the initial new chain stretch.
Now I clean, lubricate and check tension every 500 miles and haven’t had to readjust yet. I’m at 3000 miles.

Per the owner’s manual, after the first 500 miles (break-in), and then every 2,500.
