I don't use a spray. I make a cake release. It is 1 cup of flour, 1 cup veg oil, and I cup shortening. Mix well and keep in refrigerator and brush it on your pans or cupcake pans with a silicone brush. It works perfect.

I had bought, on Aprils recommendation, the cinnamon cake at Costco. It is very popular. Well, this is exactly like it...only theirs has cinnamon and sugar on top. yum!!!!

When I make simple glazes I like to substitute whiskey, Irish cream or brandy for the milk it makes the glaze delicious
Hmmmmm..... never heard of that! Might just be good. There is a seafood place near us that makes a whiskey sauce for bread pudding. It is delicious!!! Thank you for watching!!!!

Happy Birthday friend, the plants are beautiful, they look nice and healthy. I bet that cake tastes really good warm, every time I soften butter I melt it also, you are not alone. You are right it does sound like a biscuit recipe. It is hard cooking for 2, especially when one of them does not have a big appetite, or can't/won't eat the stuff you want to make, you can only freeze so much. I am glad you are enjoying the vanilla, I spent Monday making a whole bunch of it for my friends daughter, she passed away (my taste tester and best friend) and we discovered she had almost a pound of beans and her daughter asked if I would make the extract as she did not have a clue, so I have been busy, just like you. Happy Birthday again, 39 right?

You could just freeze individual portions and then when you don’t want to cook, you’ve got a meal for yourself! I have the same problem. Its only myself and my husband. Dinner has been a challenge lately. I keep putting leftovers in the freezer and then after a while I just throw out the food. I hate being wasteful, but I understand what a struggle it can be.
It is so hard. My family was big eaters.....and when it was just me and Troy before he got sick...he'd eat like a horse! Not any more. So sad.

I can't remember whose channel I saw this tip on recently, but you can save the paper wrappers off your sticks of butter, storing them in a ziplock in the freezer. Each time you need to grease a pan, pull one out can use the residual butter on the wrapper instead of having to buy spray. What a great idea!

What a small world, because I just made this cake yesterday! 😊 I need gluten free, so I substituted gluten free flour and it turned out very delicious. I like the name of the cake you called it- my recipe said it was just a cinnamon roll cake. Blessings to you and thank you ❤

What does Troy eat?
Some times a can of veg soup. sometimes a beef wiener and cheese wrapped in a slice of bread. Heat the wiener in the micro. ugh.....when there is good food to eat!!

Do you cook or teach?
I am a substitute in the ISS class. It is an easy day....only 1 -5 kids most days. Not hard core bad kiddos....just excess tardies etc. I am enjoying it!!!
You're used to cooking for a large family and it's different when you get older and it's just one or two of you and appetites decrease. I think casseroles were invented to stretch ingredients and feed more people economically! Maybe you could think of recipes that can be halved or is freezable (either cooked or uncooked) so that you won't have so much of it at one time. I love having leftovers but it can be tiresome to eat the same thing over and over again!
I don’t mind a couple times of the same thing. But it goes way beyond that. I’ll figure something out. 😂
