Lev does suck, and that's why he was failing so miserably to spike, but it was also Kenma's fault. Lev is really huge for a japanese standard, plus his arms are super large. It was only after seeing Lev doing his max jump to reach the cat on the tree, and extending his arms to the fullest (when the cat was falling) that Kenma really understood how big Lev is, and how high he must set Lev to maximize his spikes. That's how Lev ended up hitting the spike at the end of the episode.
The funniest thing about the Karasuno Monster Hunter bit is that it ended up being the same as their final point against Aoba Johsai. It’s dropping behind Hinata, everyone is looking in shock, and nobody can reach it.
Fan fact: Name Lev means lion in Russian and lion is actually considered as a breed of cats in wild life. On top of that, character design of Lev resembles Blue Russian breed of cats, which only have green eyes (just like Lev) and blue-grayish color of fur. Talk about character design 😌
Glad you guys are reacting to ovas. But editor-san please make sure they watch that end credit scene from season 2 recap movie that wasn't included in the show. That scene is really beautiful and wholesome and i don't wanna miss their reaction to it.
Micky's shirt is so cuuteee 🥺 I feel like when Kenma is annoyed tend to miss things, that's why he didn't notice the beast's tail lighting up, he seems like a chill dude but he really doesn't like to lost 😅
As they previously mentioned, they added Haiba Lev because Nekoma's current team was still not enough to go to Nationals. Even their best players at that time did not win against other Tokyo teams. If they don't change anything in their lineup, they will just lose again for the Spring tournament. Coach Nekomata (Nekoma's coach) has mentioned in S1 that you need to sometimes evolve drastically to win. Hehehe Also, they were not trying to copy Karasuno's Kageyama-Hinata combo. :) Coach Nekomata does not need to give further instructions to Kenma as a setter because setters usually need to familiarize themselves with each spiker's height, arm length, jumping ability and timing by just practicing together for a long time. Kenma knows this already but the problem with Lev is (because he is a beginner in volleyball), his jump height, spiking style and timing is not consistent. So, Kenma was having a more difficult time synching up with him. The incident with cat on the tree made him realize his max arm reach/length, thus he was able to give proper tosses (higher than usual) to match Lev's jumps and spike.
Hearing coach Ukai's voice...I miss it...I miss him, in season 3 the voice will change...may he rest in peace T^T It's not a spoiler, talking about the VA here, so the IRL man is gone but not the anime man.
I actually had the "cat stuck on a tree" situation once but was this massive pine tree that none of my neighbors could reach and we weren't getting nowhere waiting for proper rescue. That's when some dudes from a cable company that were in the area to install stuff helped take the kitty out and the poor thing was terrified out of its mind. No idea how the cat got that high tho.
yeah my boy Lev kinda sucks because he's new to volleyball but he also has long limbs and that's why Kenma couldn't match his sets with him at first. I honestly love him so much, so much confidence and spirit, it's so fun watching Lev!
3 years late but the game they’re playing is Monster Hunter. In the West most people know the series through Monster Hunter World, but in Japan the series was one of the most successful in the industry, selling as many copies as Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest, making it one of the “big three” (barring Pokemon ofc, that series is something else entirely.) In fact, Monster Hunter was so massive in Japan that they played some of the series’ tracks during the Tokyo Olympics. And this was before World released and made the series big worldwide. Also, a bonus fun fact, the entry that made the series popular worldwide, World, didn’t actually sell amazingly in Japan. The older entries were much more popular. Edit: Also, Monster Hunter came out before Dark Souls or Demon Souls. So if anything, Souls like combat is like Monster Hunter’s, not the other way around.
I just realized that they used the same expressions when they lost the match against Aoba Johsai LMAO like if you go back to that moment they have the same faces
Lev probably would make a bad libero, or at least it won't be easy for him. As for libero, they cannot touch the ball above the net line(even if they are on the back row), and seeing how tall and inexperienced Lev is, he ll probably touch a lot of them above the net.
Chill that’s not even that negative. It’s just because the few liberos he’s seen on the show have been fairly short so he probably has the assumption that it’s a position for a smaller player.

What's the point lol. It's not like they're gonna try to understand Oikawa. They'll just blindly keep hating on him coz he is not from Karasuno.
@@mauryagrover7589 omg you all need to let go, who cares
they need to be starting posting 3 videoes of this a week i cant wait..:(
Damn it. I gotta admit I was looking forward to episode 1 of season 2. It’s pretty hype. Oh well it’s a good OVA and reaction.

Can confirm that the secret bosses in Kingdom Hearts are ten times harder than anything else in the game.

Can you guys react to "Alice in Borderland?" Its on Netflix and its only 8 episodes. Season 2 is confirmed but no release date yet. :)
