I went from a 992 C2S to a GTS (not 4) and haven't looked back. But, I was lucky to switch when the market was high.
Best way to look at it is the GTS will be the model everyone will want in 2-3 years time.
I just always wanted a GTS and the C2S was my "journey" getting on the list early.

Nice to see your take on the GTS and it exactly mirrors mine. I love my Ice Grey GTS, the colour looks so good. Flat grey in low light then a sparkling pearl colour in full sun light which works so well with the gloss black. Also to contradict all the nay sayers out there the sports exhaust on the GTS has a fantastic sound through the rev range. Enjoyed your review and subscribed. Cheers

I went from a 992 C2S to a 992 C2GTS - made no financial sense but my S was 2.5 years old and I did / do not want a hybrid 911 (992.2). No option really. My only recommendarion is to consider the leather rather than GTS interior - avoids the carbon pack and will wear better.

The best person to give an opinion of how the 4GTS feels different.
Youll be more familiar with the S so can notice the GTS differences - good vid again mate

Love the 992 GTS but agree that the premium over a 991.2, definitely gives pause. We love our 992 GTS ❤

Always enjoy and like your videos. This one was on point for me. I have a 2021 BMW M4 Competition. It is fast--dynos at 550+, not the 503 BMW always sandbags, and is luxurious inside and aggressive looking outside. I have thought about getting a '25 Comp Xdrive. It would be faster off the line, have 20 more hp--probably more, considering BMW's showing wheel hp as crank, and look about the same inside and out. But, I would be looking at $30k or so. I don't generally drag race, but love the power when you floor it at 45-80 mph. So, the X-drive being faster 0-60/1/4 mile is more or less immaterial. The question which you asks is correct. Is the improvement in performance worth a considerable cost increase? Or, between the two is the C8 Corvette--not as fast or as luxurious inside, but under $80K as opposed to $93-95. Anyway, thanks for the video. Nice to hear your opinion.

Have you any thoughts about trying a manual 992 Carrera T? Perhaps less capable, but more fun?

Yeah absolutely - getting my hands on one not quite so easy 😛

Just had a GTS for two weeks but the rwd version. I felt it needed the 4wd the whole time I had it as it rained loads. I personally think the carrera 4s is the sweet spot, although haven’t driven the carrera s to compare !

Depends on your preference I guess chap - any 4 variant comes with a bucket load more capability for sure!

But wouldn’t the GTS hold its value better ? So long term your be better off, well slightly happier at least

Yes it will based on previous gen residuals - point I make in the video I believe 👍

Just out of interest have you tried the new Lotus Emira v6 or i4? Or not something you would be interested in?

I haven’t - and would love too. Always happy to experience different things.

I tried the Emira and had one on order until I drove the GTS. The Emira is a fun little car and a lot cheaper but the GTS is so much more car in every way which is a little bit unfair on the Emira as they are in a different price bracket. Probably the biggest thing for me was the relative comfort in the GTS. You could, although I don't, drive the GTS as a daily and you can and I occasionally do go on along road trip and arrive relaxed in the GTS. The Emira by comparison was a bit raw which isn't for me but may be for some.

That’s very interesting, I have an i4 landing potentially by the end of the month and test drove a demo last week. I was impressed but not blown away. Although the Gts is not a direct competitor, that is what I am contemplating instead and have a test drive booked in next week. I’d have ideally wanted a back to back comparison but it wasn’t possible to book in a Gts demo at the time I tried the Emira. Am hoping the drive in the Gts will help make my mind up either way. I must admit I do enjoy quite a raw experience though so I may prefer the Emira in that respect. But feel the performance of the Gts could be the decisive factor.
