Was impressed watching this guy TIG in Lowbrow's sportster hardtail video. Watching him get to these bungs, completely awkward position, and make 'em look that good is other-worldly. Not sure he's human.
Thanks Tyler, another great vid! I'm using a 2 1/2 gallon Triumph tank on my 66 TR6R Bobber so a bit easier. It's your rear fender vid that I'm waiting for! Thanks again from UK.
It's great to see Todd putting the boss to work . looks just like the frame on my 72 Bonnieville chopper .ever think about copeing the front bung to fit the frame . like the rear mount .
@@lowbrowcustoms haven't forgotten about y'all . still need a bunch of parts . only problem is wife has breast cancer .had to put the chopper on the back burner for awhile . one day though be giving you a call .
What filler rod are you using? ER70-S2? If so is that ok for tig welding the front bung into the casting that’s part of the steering head on that bike, or an Ironhead sporty?
Should there be something used to seal the edge of the paint to prevent chipping or paint corrosion? Wonder if a carpenters snap line would give a nice center mark.. or plumbob?
we carry two from Voodoo Vintage, they are made to order. www.lowbrowcustoms.com/voodoo-vintage-fabrication-yamaha-xs650-1971-1982-hardtail-frame.html and www.lowbrowcustoms.com/voodoo-vintage-fabrication-yamaha-xs650-1971-1982-mk25-hardtail-frame.html
Hello there.. very interesting video, as always! I am interested in the air pod filter which used on the bike, does lowbrow selling that also? Thanks in advance
im no expert but i know flux core wire does burn hotter then solid wire so if you do try to use flux core dont weld with the bolt threaded in because the heat expansion might cause the bolt to fuse to the threads..which would be bad.
This maybe a stupid question but...do you know of anyone who can fabricate a hardtail frame for a 650 royal enfield interceptor?.I would like the frame to resemble the triumph frame in this video. Thanks in advance. Take care on the road . Peace out ✌️
Most of our banana tanks are made for Triumph but there is one that is the frisco mount banana tank that can work well for Harleys. They are top mounted tabs so you would have to drill into your frame and drop top hat bungs in, weld them to install the tank. If your sportster is fuel injected you would have to install a fuel pump bracket and fuel pump as well. Where there is a will theres is a way for everything ya just have to have some fabrication skills. heres link to the tank - lowbrow-customs-llc.myshopify.com/admin/products/4851499434031

Que projeto incrível !!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🐴👊👍👈🏁
Does low brow make a weld on hardtail for the xs650? Or is that overkill and unnecessary? Looking to do a 650 build over the winter.

Yes we sell them. www.lowbrowcustoms.com/british-standard-pancake-air-filter-triumph-bsa-center-mount-1.html
Just an idea; Why not braze the mounts to the frame?
EDIT: Just realized that may fuck up the paint, if you're keeping the rest of the paint.
Hey Lowbrow, can I weld those bungs in with a Fluxcore Mig set up? Or do you recommend them to be TIG welded only?

Could you tig with silicon bronze?

no sorry not at this time. we will look into making them soon though.
Are these usually too long for a Sportster bobber?
