I have hair line cracks showing through lining paper on solid wall. What are the brands of filler you use for this please? Can I just widen the crack up with the knife first before filling?

Pollycel interior pollyfilla easy sand.. if no movement yes you can widen crack and fill... if movement back fill using expanding foam topped with powder filler.. keeping to the surrounding texture otherwise they will stand out.. thanks

When to scrape out the whole crack and when to put holes?

Usually if it's not a solid wall then holes are enough.

You went the xtra mile on this one! Phone cables are so annoying! I'm in a property with loads at the moment - all over the skirtings and architraves - most of them are redundant now.. folks just need one router and that's it. You've got me foaming every crack!!

Thanks for the effort, but for me, some explanation and narration would be necessary.
Having watched the video, I have no better idea of what to do after viewing than before.

We do have loads of videos that explain all steps this one shows all steps... some videos we do are just to music due to other factors.

Personally I would use cualk for first fill it moves with expansion then any branded.filler

Did a victorian townhouse HSL last week had a guy with me I normally prefere to work alone but had a time constraint on this job. All he did was bitch, he couldn't see the point in using a 3in for cutting in he used a 2in brush for everything. I was using a 9in fossa medium roller on the walls (light artex) and he bitched that my sleave was shit and he uses a 7in Purdy mohair on everything. If there was anything he could bitch about he would lol. Nice repair on that wall matey.
