Truly nice! And I say this as a rider of an old, air-cooled GS. My brother rides a V 85 tt, which is nice, but lacking engine punch. I'll go for a test ride for sure!
I test rode this bike around the loop (even before Dylan did lol), and at 6'7", I can say that the ergos might be the best of any bike I've ever ridden. It's extremely comfortable, both in terms of seating and suspension. The engine is spectacular, as it is in the V100. Realistically, it's probably the Guzzi I *should* buy, but I just can't get the stunning red V100 out of my head. Good thing you can't go wrong with either choice.
Me ha encantado la prueba. La primera que puedo ver de este modelo en condiciones reales en carretera. Me he quedado con ganas de mas. Aun así, mi mas sincera felicitación. Saludos 🏍✌
Thank you very much for this quick preview, I bought V100 S but I miss something. I realized after riding many motorcycles, that I have the same preferences as you and I am as tall as you. So I plan to trade in V100 for Stelvio. Can you compare suspension comfort with V85? Because I had one and it was just perfect for my needs. is Stelvio same/similar in tis area?
I don’t want to appear dismissive but I don’t think this is an issue whatsoever. An engine is a metal container filled with repeated gasoline explosions, the main byproduct of that is heat. This is just part of the experience of riding motorcycles where you are positioned close to the explosion box. I think this idea of “I’m uncomfortable, therefore this is a problem with the design” is just an expression of inexperience.
@@throttlecompany of course there is heat its engine but there is difference between heat and excessive heat.. i got tuareg 660 heat is crazy in city traffic it cooking me i also have the new transalp 750 which is extremely comfortable heat vise ... so technology experience friction and compression of the engine brings different temp levels... for example guzzi 850 tt dont come near that of the heat that mandelo v100 produces and this can be a big issue in heavy traffic if you ride this bike dayli
The only heat problem on Mandello on hot day is right inside ankle, on a 25c + day, heat soak from CAT only when stationary, and then a proper riding boot, with correct socks, problem solved. There is no other heat dispersal otherwise.
Why they put a smaller fuel tank on their off road bike than their smaller off road bike, which gets better fuel mileage has a larger one, is beyond me. Hard pass for me until that gets addressed.
Im 6'2" with 35 inch inseam. The leg position is too cramped for my liking. I need a tiger 1200 size. However this is the best looking adventure bike right now.
Get the high seat, lowered foot pegs and a handlebar riser and it’ll fit great. I rode it today and at 6’4” I was a tiny bit cramped, but it can easily be fixed. Nice machine that will stand out, for sure.
You must not be familiar with the Moto Guzzi Quota which ran from 1992-2000. It was designed 100% in Mandello del Lario and before the merger with Aprilia. The new Stelvio shares a lot of its design “language” with the Quota, which is inarguably “Guzzi”.
This motorcycle should hit the spot from riders not living in the GS shadow.

How well would it fit someone 5'7" with a 30" inseam??LOL!!!
@@countryjoe3551 I'm sure just fine, but you might need to use your tippytoes lol
I am about the same size and its okay for the V100. Balls of my feet though, but its so well balanced it doesnt matter too much@@countryjoe3551
Moto Guzzis have a feel that no other bike has and they are nice.

The 2016 Stelvio came WITH the paniers. Ill guess that it no longer the case... ?
Thanks for the preview, cant wait for the update after break in to reveal kore "soul"
That is a sweet bike. I also like the MG red door replica of their home base. Nice touch.
Thanks 👍
ciao parli bene l'italiano,bellissima moto,la proverò anch'io,bravo!!
Nice first review! Does it come with quick shifter? Does it feel heavy? Does the screen create buffeting? How is wind protection?
More than $10K less than the new 1300GS makes it a STRONG consideration. I'm interested.
Is the knee angle less acute than on the V100?
Merci pour cet essai.
I can't wait for more videos of this bike!!! When you break in the engine especially!
You and me both!

Can we have a strada version with alloys and a black engine please?
This is the first I’ve heard this idea and it’s a good one! For now your best option is the V100 Mandello.
@@throttlecompany Yes but I ride in Romania an Bulgaria so prefer an adventure bike.
Great review of this wonderfull bike ! Just a question, is there any quick shifter installed or is it an option ?
It is an option.
im concerned for the heat as the mandelo mondelo i test rode got serious heat from the engine in summer city traffic

I think the majority of people care more about looks than fuel capacity. Clearly you are a discerning aficionado of adventure motorcycles.
what about the gearbox? Is it better than Mandello?
The same, so great!
@throttlecompany at eicma it was said, they may have done some refind on tge gearbox. Maybe it's only marketing 🤔
They have changed some parts in the gearbox, so now it's almost perfect. The same mods will be applied to the V100 following production.
A bike of that calibre should have heated grips as standard. End of.

I am 6’1 and have had a tiger and a gs which was a little high this may be a little lower? Would you say? 32 inseam
@@kebotrans Def lower and seat to peg distance is less on this.

The design language is not Guzzi. This will be a failure when it comes to sales. Mark my words.

Désolé l ami moi je viens de l essayée et elle est géniale je pense qu elle va mieux se vendre que la mandello 😊 certain
