I tried this with my family during the Online Playtest last month, and honestly, it's the most fun we've had in games in forever! It might not have the same nostalgic charm as Wii Sports, but it's just as much fun, I swear 😇

It doesn't feel more fleshed out to me They could add more games, but it doesn't take place on a newly upscaled version of wuhu island which means a fly-over mode like in the wii + wii u originals would be boring Don't get me wrong, the game could sell well and I'll probably buy it to try it out, but it would be so cool to get to fly over an upscaled wuhu island on the switch

I’m excited but there’s a couple things missing from what I could see: 1. The Miis look a lot less customisable in the facial features. (Edit: 4:18, it just doesn’t look right) 2. I think they should 100% add the 100 pin bowling challenge as a side mode as well. Besides that, it looks great.

@@ligmadragonballs6998 I only grew up with Wii Sports (not Resorts nor Club), so the only games I used to play were Bowling, Tennis, Boxing and Golf. I didn't really explore all of the bonus content as a kid, but I had a blast with family and friends and made some of the fondest memories with the game. To me, this game offers the same experience as I remember, the awesome Wii Tennis experience, and then a bunch of extra games. And it only costs $40, which is fair to me bc I thought it would be priced at $60. Wii Sports isn't comparable since it was bundled with every Wii package. Wii Sports Resort cost $50 with MotionPlus included, and Wii Sports Club cost $50 for all the 5 sports games (you had to buy each one individually for $10).
I’m just glad we can still use our Miis. This game might just help rekindle the nostalgia I and many of us had the day the Wii launched, as well as when Wii Sports Resort released.

LETS GO! I still remember that moment booting up wii sports for the first time back on Christmas of 2008, 14 years ago when I was in Elementary School. That game hosted many memories for my family. Cant wait to bring this home to them this summer after I graduate College in May.

I heard the biggest problem from this game is just how different the miis look and I can agree with them. Why does the miis have to look so different? They looked just as fine originally. Edit: ok I saw the miis are in the game later in the trailer and they look similar to how they usually look so what are the human like characters? Sorry that I caused confusion.
OMG stop putting labels on everything. I'm slowly, very slowly, learning that everything is different and the labels are adjustable like an RGB scale. Not every game is the same, Not every finish it later game is the same. It might just be the mario sports games. I expect strikers to do well cause soccer is ruthless, apparently. Compared to tennis and golf., its more engaging overall. As for this game, it kinda seems like they put more effort in. We will have to wait and see, but a story mode will kill the game outright because thats how the other games got by because they were so short.

If I remember correctly from the original trailer, besides golf, there were two main sports areas that were not mentioned one of them clearly being baseball and the other might have been boxing so we might get to see boxing as free dlc down the line. I also hope that we get resort dlc and hopefully they add a lot more sports because the amount of sports(and mini games for those sports) in the base game is kinda underwhelming.
Wii Sports and Sports Resort are better. I don't think there'll be much nostalgia for this game unless they had about 3x as much content. As it stands everyone will forget about this within the month.
Man I wish they’d add cycling. That would actually make me buy the full switch instead of my current switch lite. That really got my heart pumping as a kid.
Looking at it again, the mii icons in the character select do look a bit off, however I think they’ve slightly improved the proportions for the mii specific characters!
Just looking at the graphics, they seem more finished and appealing now. The new characters are a lot better. It’s still not quite the same and it needs more content, but this is an improvement nonetheless.
I mean it's starting with the same amount of game modes as the original which i think is a good choice, if people keep playing and enjoying any new sports they'll probably add more
I am happy that they added more fluid customization to the game, everything from the way your badminton rack looks, to your hair and clothing, it makes me want to give the sportsmates a go just because there so polished (other than the fact they replaced the miis, but I am happy the miis are just in this game) also my name (audrey) was used in this video so thats nice, (not offense to the miis btw, I still have a soft spot in my heart for the miis, I’d just like to try these new “sportsmates” out)

Looking at it again, the mii icons in the character select do look a bit off, however I think they’ve slightly improved the proportions for the mii specific characters!

At first I thought this was gonna be trash but it's actually really fun, it has lots of customization and replayability.
How can you call this a sequel this is not even in wii sports league straight up that game legendary
Just looking at the graphics, they seem more finished and appealing now. The new characters are a lot better. It’s still not quite the same and it needs more content, but this is an improvement nonetheless.
Boi your wrong the new characters aren’t better at all and that’s what it flops this game.

the models look a tad more glossy and to me it looks much better because of that, but yes it is nearly the same
I mean it's starting with the same amount of game modes as the original which i think is a good choice, if people keep playing and enjoying any new sports they'll probably add more
I am happy that they added more fluid customization to the game, everything from the way your badminton rack looks, to your hair and clothing, it makes me want to give the sportsmates a go just because there so polished (other than the fact they replaced the miis, but I am happy the miis are just in this game) also my name (audrey) was used in this video so thats nice, (not offense to the miis btw, I still have a soft spot in my heart for the miis, I’d just like to try these new “sportsmates” out)
Wii Sports was literaly my childhood, and hearing that it's going to turn back makes me happy!! 🤧

LETS GOOOOOOOOOO!! Man I'm hype af for this. My only hope is that there's depth like Resort (many side-modes within the main sports) so it doesn't get old fast. Also I hope they add a LOT of games and stuff in these updates cause my boy looking a little lean at launch 👀👀

I'm so glad the Miis are still playable characters in the game, I was worried at first. ^_^

The wiis rose the fame of Nintendo , what's more cooler than actually playing as yourself but they're just on the back burner now and eventually on the future Nintendo consoles will be scrapped , I hope not the miis really add personality to the games.
This looks so great! I love that they are making the leg strap compatible with the actual soccer matches and not just the shootout mode.
