It’s crazy how this is my most-anticipated game right now. I always wanted a more fleshed out version of Wii Sports and this looks to be it. Hopefully we get some of the resort sports added later on..
My favourite mode in resort was swordplay showdown so I hope they add some sort of showdown in chambara

They could add more games, but it doesn't take place on a newly upscaled version of wuhu island which means a fly-over mode like in the wii + wii u originals would be boring
Don't get me wrong, the game could sell well and I'll probably buy it to try it out, but it would be so cool to get to fly over an upscaled wuhu island on the switch
@@GottaBGlitches this is them testing out the game to see if there is interest for more there. The response so far has been overwhelmingly positive. They know that people want more. If the game goes well with sales and reviews then believe me Nitnendo will most assuredly giving us more
This is crazy because I literally today just bought a Nintendo Wii mainly for Wii sports, light gun games, Mario, resident evil. Crazy I think the universe is telling me something. I love wii sports and finally got it back, now I’ll have to get switch sports. I love the tennis and boxing, bowling, baseball it was so much fun back in the day …

Man I wish they’d add cycling. That would actually make me buy the full switch instead of my current switch lite. That really got my heart pumping as a kid.

This is very nostalgic. I remember as it was yesterday playing wii sports with my family for the first time. We never thought we would have so much fun. I think the same is going to happen with this game.

I tried this with my family during the Online Playtest last month, and honestly, it's the most fun we've had in games in forever! It might not have the same nostalgic charm as Wii Sports, but it's just as much fun, I swear 😇

I mostly want this due to the customization. I would love to see some Nintendo themed outfits in the game, maybe as prizes for online events. It would be cool to wear Splatoon outfits, or dress up as Mario characters for example.

I'm hyped! But I seriously hope more sports come with more updates if we're going this deep into customization. I'd love to see basketball, archery, boxing, baseball, and maybe even an island flyover to be added as this game's cycle continues!

Wii Sports and Sports Resort are better. I don't think there'll be much nostalgia for this game unless they had about 3x as much content. As it stands everyone will forget about this within the month.

LETS GO! I still remember that moment booting up wii sports for the first time back on Christmas of 2008, 14 years ago when I was in Elementary School. That game hosted many memories for my family. Cant wait to bring this home to them this summer after I graduate College in May.

When it comes to in game customization, I go crazy for it! So far, from what I’ve seen if that in this game, I’m super hyped!!
If we got baseball, basketball, boxing and ping pong I would have no complaint. But more is always welcome lol since there was the legendary wii sports resort
I’m excited but there’s a couple things missing from what I could see:
1. The Miis look a lot less customisable in the facial features. (Edit: 4:18, it just doesn’t look right)
2. I think they should 100% add the 100 pin bowling challenge as a side mode as well.
Besides that, it looks great.
yea, besides a couple more games from wii sports resort like basketball that i think would fit this game perfectly, bringing back some of the special gamemodes like that from wii sports and resort make it more complete imo.

I found myself liking it during the play test a lot more than I thought I would. Hope I’ll be able to pick it up.
I pre-ordered before realizing that I could get a Nintendo Switch Sports water bottle if I pre-ordering a physical copy from Nintendo or Walmart or something. Also Target will give you a bag with the physical version (while supplies last) for $50. Now I'm sad that I don't even have the leg strap, but at least it was cheaper.

This game looks fantastic! It originally seemed like a barebones sequel to the wii games, but it's shaping up to be a really fun experience. Character customization, tons of modes, great music and visuals, online, and free updates? I'm happy.
Hopefully more sports will be added beyond golf. I'd love to see baseball and boxing make a return.

I’m just glad we can still use our Miis. This game might just help rekindle the nostalgia I and many of us had the day the Wii launched, as well as when Wii Sports Resort released.
Yeah, when Nintendo first announced it, I was disappointed when there weren’t any Miis, but I might actually buy this now.

@@ligmadragonballs6998 I only grew up with Wii Sports (not Resorts nor Club), so the only games I used to play were Bowling, Tennis, Boxing and Golf. I didn't really explore all of the bonus content as a kid, but I had a blast with family and friends and made some of the fondest memories with the game.
To me, this game offers the same experience as I remember, the awesome Wii Tennis experience, and then a bunch of extra games. And it only costs $40, which is fair to me bc I thought it would be priced at $60. Wii Sports isn't comparable since it was bundled with every Wii package. Wii Sports Resort cost $50 with MotionPlus included, and Wii Sports Club cost $50 for all the 5 sports games (you had to buy each one individually for $10).
so many good memories of playing wii sports & wii sports resort in my living room as a kid 💗 excited to relive those memories!!

Looking at it again, the mii icons in the character select do look a bit off, however I think they’ve slightly improved the proportions for the mii specific characters!
This looks so fun, can’t believe they added a battle Royale mode to bowling lmao. Hope they add 100 pin bowling in the future as well as Boxing and Baseball from the original
Same speaking of bowling I played the game on online play test the bowling battle royale was really fun but I lost 3 times didn't make it to the finals Lmbo can't wait to play it again.

Would be cool if you could view any online match (if allowed/toggled by the host) as a spectator in the background. The atmosphere in these games looks so cool and relaxing. Would be nice to be able to move around and watch matches anywhere within each location in game and maybe be able to chat/use expressions with people while you all spectate.

Remember Wii Sports Resort? Had 12 games right out of the box. All felt diverse from each other. Some even had different modes within them.
Yeah, and unlike switch sports, it doesn't have variations of the same sport.

i’m really hyped for this game. so much so that this is one of the few games i actually preordered, purely due to nostalgia. my main hope is that we get “resort” dlc that adds more sports from previous games like boxing and island flyover.

How much is it?
If I remember correctly from the original trailer, besides golf, there were two main sports areas that were not mentioned one of them clearly being baseball and the other might have been boxing so we might get to see boxing as free dlc down the line. I also hope that we get resort dlc and hopefully they add a lot more sports because the amount of sports(and mini games for those sports) in the base game is kinda underwhelming.
Free flyover is a must.
My grandma loved wii sports and she’s over the moon that switch sports is being released! I can’t wait for the whole family to enjoy playing!

The games do look pretty nice. I'm especially excited for Chambara tho. Those twin swords look dope and I regret not playing with them in the demo. I just hope Nintendo gives us some sort of classic mode option where we can play against Miis such as Ryan, Elisa, and the legendary Matt all in their original Mii forms.

Just looking at the graphics, they seem more finished and appealing now. The new characters are a lot better. It’s still not quite the same and it needs more content, but this is an improvement nonetheless.

I mean it's starting with the same amount of game modes as the original which i think is a good choice, if people keep playing and enjoying any new sports they'll probably add more
I am happy that they added more fluid customization to the game, everything from the way your badminton rack looks, to your hair and clothing, it makes me want to give the sportsmates a go just because there so polished (other than the fact they replaced the miis, but I am happy the miis are just in this game) also my name (audrey) was used in this video so thats nice, (not offense to the miis btw, I still have a soft spot in my heart for the miis, I’d just like to try these new “sportsmates” out)
I really hope that they will allow us to wander around Spocco Square. It looks phenomenal!

I wish they would do an update to the bowling game where you actually RELEASE the trigger to let go of the ball. It is so counterintuitive to have to hold the trigger down throughout the whole motion.
Love the look and feel of this. really excited, but also really hoping there will be future updates with more sports. I would probably take em as dlc as well, but only if it was a really big pack of em.

Looks great I just wish bowling had a one on one option or limited spots. The survival bowling is harder because you're technically facing 15 other players in a bowling battle royale playoff essentially. I played the beta test thing few weeks back definitely fun but not easy in regards to the multi-player element. But I look forward to this game non the less.

@@amirulakh473 Well, my family isn't local. My sister lives two hours away one direction and my parents/brothers live three hours away in another direction. And I don't like the elimination feature. My little brother shouldn't have to sit in the sidelines while the rest of us play. So hopefully survival mode isn't all they have.

If the guys at Nintendo are gonna have "Chambara" as their version of Swordplay, they might as well make an update that includes something resembling Swordplay Showdown.
The play test was alot of fun. The online also adds a whole new level to the game. In 100% getting this game
I gotta be honest, when I saw the announcement at the direct, I was pretty disappointed. But after seeing the ranking system, the online matchmaking, the bowling challenges, how fun soccer actually looks, etc., I'm actually hyped for this to come out. I still think the original Wii Sports is better, but I'm still excited to get this when it comes out.

What made the original so great is that it came with every wii console. Nearly every home I entered had wii sports. Really wish this would have been free, or included in the new online membership.
Mine came with New Super Mario Bros. Wii, not Wii Sports.
I'm sure there was a Wii + Wii Sports bundle at some point in time, but not *every* Wii came with Wii Sports.
Wii sports came with the wii cause it was 5 sports, if they sold that seperately it really wouldve been a flop because of no online and lackluster content.
