i remember reading comments about how this game is too p2w . . indeed some content, so far only this one seems to swing that way lol . but hell, i get to have fun with what they give out and i placed top 75 in my group ID as f2p . i bought the 2 dollar costume and still have the 320 red crystals that came with it . i don't really use the costume unless i want aerith as a full time healer . . so alas , i don't consider it as even a dolphin move. also, its sephiroth , he's meant to be a prick and i think a lot of us thought pre-crash sephi was way too easy / a joke . . we got what we wanted lmao
Yea I would def not consider you a dolphin if that's all you bought. Nice thats impressive to place that high on a f2p account for the mako event props. Yea I'm happy they made his crash mode a legit challenge, I know there are alot of whales with some really built out accounts that havnt been able to clear him solo yet. I think they designed it so he would be a tough fight for most attainable accounts. You really have to min max you build because most of the time you are going to be surviving his hits with pretty low health even with full buffs up. Think the hardest part was manipulating the AI on semi mode, switching to defense stance to block certain attacks and so the AI wouldn't burn their ATB on attacks and use there heals/buffs instead. It's a heavy micromanagement fight and think that's what makes it the most challenging.
@gavin8216 yeah totally, it's the first event where I feel we need specific class to win. Like there's no way to beat him without a dedicated healer since there is no damage vamp or invincibility. And then there's the issue of time.. if you don't take him out fast enough he will start spamming octaslash that will just one shot even with the buffs. It may seem dirty to some but hey man, we shouldn't expect less from the legend himself.. I wish I could use semi mode but so many times it will waste my atb gauge on a move I don't want. Manual seems much more useful because the ai will usually wait for a bit before it decides what to do on the side characters. So if sephi is charging up his heartless move, they won't waste the atb , then I can switch stance and bot of them will cure.. semi will just waste it from what I could tell
Yea I feel like the enrage def gatekeeps the fight because damage is going to be one of the hardest things to get higher without having more banner pulls. You can use materia with good pdef/mdef to mitigate damage quite a bit especially since all the event weapons they gave out are defensive ones. When i was trying different comps out on the crash fight I tried equipping Matt with all defensive stated materia and had his pdef and mdef at about 150 on each and he was taking under 3.5k for shadow flare and a bit more for octoslash. But it's seph he's supposed to be an intimidating ass presence so I do like that he feels OP, keeps the lore alive lol. Yea manual is def super useful for certain parts, especially the end where my cloud decided not to heal and kept attacking, while we are barely surviving. But godamn does manual get me disoriented when I have to switch the camera and watch ATB and try and block sephs attacks, not sure how it is on computer feels weird on the phone lol.
At the point of my initial clear I spent around 260 in total with sephs mainhand at OB 8, and spent another 100 to get it to OB 10 with the selection ticket and event weapon parts (this video). My account weapon list is the other video I posted.
I got a questions How tf do I get my R. Abilities hire..my weapons are boosted af and I’m level 55 for cloud seph and aerith..can u plz explain R abilities So my boost att is lvl6 and 45 How are u level 7 what do I need to do to get there?
So mainhand will always give the full value for what is listed on the R ability and offhand/sub weapons will give half of what is shown. So for example my seph has 40 Matk on main hand, for me to hit 55 Matk which is the threshold for level 7, I would need a total of 30 more Matk on my offhand/sub weapons. So I run edged wing main hand (40) and absolute Royal offhand which has over 30 letting me hit that threshold. It applies to all the R abilities as well. Hope that helps!
Lol I spent 260 on my initial clear of crash and 360 to hit OB10 from OB8 for Seph in this video. Posted my account weapon list in my other video for a reference. I think the fight is doable with OB6 on both dps mainhands as the rest of my subs/offhand are event weapons and not pink. Fight is def not clearable for f2p unfortunately because I got extremely lucky with my draws and spent money.
i did manage to get him to half hp as f2p . . but yeah its definitely whale territory atm . but at least the whales got me the shiny sephiroth medal in co-op and i'm just gonna settle on that lmao . i was playing as second hand support basically , keeping us all healed up along with the main healer aerith . we managed to take him down first day release . that sephiroth did insane ice damage especially with the shiva
Haha for sure, getting him to half sounds like the sticking point for alot of people. The enrage def cucks the f2p on the fight because even if you survive once you hit that enrage it's ggs. But I think the fight is a good way to measure where your account is currently and since they are releasing the fight permanently will be a good way to see how your account is progressing over the upcoming months
