So, seems like a good way to work all ft8 stations on the band simultaneously. Dynamically instantiated a local ft8 instance to handle each new ft8 station that pops up.
This is similar to the Flex 1500 in that it also required a virtual serial port and virtual audio cables installed where you were running the PowerSDR software.
Hey Josh, I have say once I heard the 3k and 4k bandwidth RX I was blown away!! Wow The Hermes Lite 2 Sounds insane for that price point and I Just put my order in for one and I will make a video soon. Thank you again for another great video n2mdx 73's!
I can totally see this sitting alongside a computer “at work” and distracting the “worker” who is now doing ft8 all day long on a minimized window. Ahem…(boss asks “so, why do you need to put an antenna on the roof? Something about better Wi-Fi ??)
I got one, plugged in a wire to test, and the noise level in an apartment is impossibly high. Looks like it it will be useless until I get an antenna up on the roof!
I keep trying to talk myself out of getting one of these but think I am failing. Especially since I have a XPA125B sitting on the self not being used any more.
I wonder if anyone could answer one very simple question! I recently purchased RTL-SDR Version 3 for monitoring world band radio stations and HAM HF bands. I have listened to many tutorials on the subject, but so far, no one has been clear and specific about a direct and easy-to-understand question: What is the name, brand, or model number of the best software for PC and/or Mac computers. Any specific answer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Can someone please tell me which is better the RSPduo or the RSPdx and thank you. I want to buy one l just don't know which is better. Again thank you.
Get an old Kaypro lugable computer case, add a modern PC the Hermes, an LCD monitor, and a big LiPo battery... all in one "portable" setup LOL don't ask me to carry it! Thse old Kaypro's were tanks and weighed a ton

5 of my memes made it into the slides! I've truly made it guys!!

i used your ham radio study videos and i just passed my test for technician licenses this morning .
Congrats!
@@HamRadioCrashCourse thanks I couldn't have done it without your videos
I would be interested to see multiple receive slices setup/run, as well as, the HL2 setup with a linear and the PureSignal mod installed/run.
Please do a follow up video using the Thetis software. 😉.

I run an HL2 from a Raspberry Pi4 and a 7" touch screen. It is possible, with some effort, to run it portable and on batteries.
The kit comes with hole pre-drilled now.

💯
I like the 7199 QSO too. Their audio is better than most NBFM on 10M

You don't need a network. Connect the Ethernet directly.
BTW modern Ethernet ports are usually autosensing; you don't need a crossover cable any more.
lol, yes. I am old 🤣
Why do you change the VAC1 setting and disable the sound output? Couldn't you use VAC2 for the digital output and leave the sound alone on VAC1?
Is there a VHF/UHF version? Something network attached, SDR, and reasonably priced (not like Flexradio or Anan)
I want to see what amp you recommend with this thing. Sounds amazing.
20:36 😂 wowowow!

There isn’t an objective best. Just try a few out and use what you like. www.rtl-sdr.com/big-list-rtl-sdr-supported-software/
HI JOSH GLENN VE7BEH HERE , DO I NEED THE FILTER BOARD TO GET UP ON RX , OR CAN I BUY IT LATER
Does it work with gnuradio?
Love this !
Great radio. I have two but can only listen using NR2. 73's de ON8EI John.
Можете ли вы помочь мне, какой выбрать?
8000 or 8200
Sounds Iike a cyber deck build coming
Something wrong with that CW decoder. LOL
HL2 is end game radio. makes all the multi thousand dollar big box radios obsolete.

What do you mean „better“? DX is single RX, Duo is Dual - pick what you need.
Buy both and use them, then decide for yourself which one to keep then sell the other having knowledge of both.
N3UBI
Can you hook it up to a Google Tab or a iPhone?
No.
Do you prefer the SDR style radio over the traditional style of radio?
Very impressive radio!
Generally yes, but that’s when comparing radio performance and relative size.
Glad you’re talking about this radio but It’s made of unobtainium.
As a result of poor bonding between Worldwide Administratiums!
There was *just* a batch made on MakerFabs. It looks like they are taking order for another batch in a month.
Interesting but it would help if this was working on a Mac too. Some of us are not window people.
You vary your speech volume too much. At least add AGC or a touch of compression and limiting.
Referring to your TH-cam audio.
