I am so late but my heart dropped so hard when Orpheus turned into carnation petals. Got me into tears actually. Your expressions on Eurydice are top notch. Flowers is such an underrated Hadestown song. Like yeah i love Wait For Me and Chant, but honestly the whole soundtrack slaps
Oh my god, this is absolutely stunning. I gasped out loud at the sudden addition of color. That packed such an emotional punch, and then how it mutes only to fall away completely except for Orpheus's flower is so, so gorgeous. And the way you've done Eurydice's expressions is wonderful. I also love the bit of "dreams are sweet until they're not, men are kind until they aren't" and the way you flipped orientation and color on them is just amazing. Was that a reference to theater masks there too? Because it worked super well!!! I really love this song, and you've done it so much justice. This is really, really lovely!!!!!!
Its kinda nice to have a small community around a beautiful thing, in a way. It's honestly more honest that way. So.... did anyone else find the train moving across the screen kinda funny? Just, for me something about how unrealistic the trains movement was funny.

This is absolutely stunning. The animation of the flower wilting at 1:43 made me actually gasp. It was so smooth and beautiful. The petal floating at the start was also breathtaking. It looked so realistic. I also love the fact that Euridice has freckles all over her; just. Proof of time spent in the sun, and the contrast between the underworld's caverns. She's still sun-kissed in this place without the sun. I adored the part with Hades on the train. I always thought that line was referring to what must have been done in Hades' office, but I much prefer thinking she is talking about being taken down to Hadestown. This animatic is going to be playing in my head from now on whenever I listen to this song in my car. Just. Stunning. Breathtaking. Magnificent
This is one of the best songs in this all in all genius musical. The feeling of tenderness and sorrow intertwined and a glimpse of hope fading in the darkness. Your work of art suits it perfectly. Al the flowing movements, creative ideas in small details and overall thought and effort put into this is astounding. I’ve never quite imagined the level of tiredness and hunger that she had till you showed her in this train to Hadestown. And the scene of Orpheus’ shadow casted upon here and him turning into petals before she could see and remember is just... pure talent. I love animatics so much, to think of one person doing all this work is ever so inspiring.

The animated parts are so smooth and the colored part when she talks about Orpheus is just *chefs kiss* I'm also happy Hadestown is getting attention, especially flowers because not many ppl have made animatics about it and I was interested on how you would interpret it. I was just really really stressed about... stuff and seeing the fluid animation of the flower petals really calmed me down. Also, this is the first animatic for Flowers I’ve seen so far, and it’s very beautiful and well thought out

Omg omg so many brilliant little moments here. The moment where the eye turns to the flower petal and that brief moment where it's a petal? and THEN turns into a caged bird? that was so cool! And the way she looked like she was in a coffin before it was revealed it was the train - and THEN the second orpheus turns into petals!! and Eurydice huddled against the wind like the motif in the musical!! so brilliant

i feel like there are some animatics that try to distract from the song with visuals instead of using the song to their advantage but you really just added to this song that i already love so much. the animation is so smooth, and its just fantastic in general. really, really, good job. ☺️

Beutiful and soft voice but sad and rough tale.
