    Just an amazing evening, the 747-8 just seemed to hang in the sky, and the ones coming in with the orange sky behind them just BRILLIANT many thanks Matt.

    Really nice...the 747 came over the house at around 3000ft on take-off - wonderful sight (and sound)

    Awesome video, I am going to ema on wednesday 28th I believe the 747-8 CLX comes in every Wednesday, I certainly hope so!

    if 747's can taxi round east midlands surely it can be used for passenger use as well

      The reasons why they arent used oftern at east mids is because Its not a large airport like heathrow or manchester, and isnt used for long haul flights to such places like USA or Asia. Its used for much smaller flights, like to ireland, france, spain ect. Its very rare to see a 747 there. :)

      +Nitrosity They are regular on cargo flights! The reason why 747s aren't used on passenger flights is because there isn't the space for it. There is one space big enough for an A330-300 or 787, not for a 747.

      +Amaury Heffernan I'm sorry I lost my cool and every let's say month for the F1 at least 2 747 visit to collect and bring them to the airport nearest the Track :-/
