Great video. I will likely never own a DRO but your demonstration of its use was very interesting. Also love the camera work on this one. Keep them coming!
Thanks. Trying to keep them interesting. The full video on the DRO is coming along well. Really synched up the two cameras and the picture in a picture. Should turn out well.
Mr.Beets, I found your channel about two weeks ago. I had been searching for reviews on Precision Matthew laths and mills. I see you live in or around Dallas. I live in Tyler. If I may ask how can I go about getting an email address. I have several questions I think you might be able to help me get answered. To give you a heads up the questions I have are not about the lathe or mill directly. It’s about machining here in East Texas. Thanks
Nick - happy to connect. Please send me your contact information through the Connect With Us form at www.BladesIIB.com and I will email or call you. Thanks.
Wags, not sure why they made it that way. I guess they really had a size in mind that they wanted to ensure you could hold internally on that step? Or externally if you turn them around.
Yes need to find the best speed to maximize tool life and machining speed. The first insert was already pretty dead before the first cut. The next insert completed the job.
Marc - excellent point. I had not considered that for this job. Always new ideas to learn thank you. I believe I still could have pulled them up against the jaws to get the same repeatability on my DRO. Will consider that next time I have a short part to hold.
Found your channel last week and really enjoying content. Can tell people you got a fan in South Africa
Heinrich - that is awesome, thank you. Glad you are enjoying the videos.

Thank you. And I will in the next few days
Why are the first set of holes breaking through on your 3 jaw?

Carbide inserts burn out faster going too slow or too fast

Hey, are you aware that you can take off your removable jaws and just use the master jaws. Then you wouldn't have to make a fixture.
